Don't watch this piece of garbage. The characters are offensively written in every way. The degree to which the patterns of speech and body movements are stereotypical is so intense. I cannot believe that a script like this gets green-lit in light of the growing BLM movement nowadays. If you think back of the most stereotypically racist depictions of feuding black people on the Jerry Springer show, that's this cast of characters. It would only be a slight exaggeration to say the following: I believe that the people who wrote this, directed this, and overall made these actors act in this way should be prosecuted. It's almost like someone was raised on nothing but minstrel shows, Jerry Springer and Maury, and never met a black person, watched any other tv or listened to any music, and was then asked to write a script about "gang life in the inner city." There is not a single character in this movie that is not a one-note stereotype.
If you can stomach the lazy, stereotypical, borderline-improvised dialogue, then you eventually get to a lazy, stereotypical, incomplete and plot-hole-ridden story. The scenes are disjointed. Every development is predictable. And I cannot express to you how distasteful the characters and the dialogue was, throughout. The acting was horrendous, and the direction absolutely relied on melodramatic reactions. There are no stakes, no real conflict, no tension, no mystery.
Let's not even mention the one white, rapey friend.
So let's say you're ok with terrible acting, no story, awful dialogue and ugly stereotypes, and you still might want to see this movie. You have more self-respect than to accept this low quality of sound. Every time someone raises their voice, there is actual feedback heard. It's like they used someone's old Fisher Price toy to record and mix the sound.
I hated this movie while I watched it, and I hate it still.
If you are curious and inclined to punish yourself for whatever reason, I guess you could see this diaper-fire of a movie. But please, I beg you, do not give this movie money in any way.
