India’s Reliance Entertainment, a producer on Steven Spielberg’s “The Fabelmans,” has pacted with T-Series and Anubhav Sinha’s Benaras Mediaworks to distribute Sudhir Mishra’s “Afwaah,” Sinha’s “Bheed” and Hansal Mehta’s “Faraaz” internationally.

First up is Mehta’s hostage drama “Faraaz,” starring Zahan Kapoor, Aditya Rawal, Juhi Babbar Soni, which releases Feb. 3. The film, which had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, unfolds over one night and is based on an incident in July 2016, where armed gunmen held up customers at the Holey Artisan Bakery, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, for 12 hours, before killing 20 of them and two of the bakery staff.

Bangladeshi auteur Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s “Saturday Afternoon,” based on the same incident, was recently cleared for release after a four-year struggle with the Bangladesh Film Censor Board.

Next up is Sudhir Mishra’s thriller “Afwaah,” starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhumi Pednekar, Sumeet Vyas and Sharib Hashmi.

Actress Sayani Gupta is set to co-produce "Where the Wind Blows", a film which will feature her as the only protagonist.

It's been directed by Karma Takapa, whose films "Ralang Road" and "Mor Mann Ke Bharam" have travelled to various festivals.

According to a source, "the interesting fact about the film is that the entire film is shot in the Himalayas. The cast and crew climbed till the base camp of Mount Everest. The average temperature there was around minus 27 degree Celsius. Sayani along with the crew of only seven people climbed and completed the shoot in 26 days".

Sharing her experience of working on the film, Sayani said: "This film is very close to my heart. Shooting for it was not lesser than a roller coaster ride. Though the shoot was difficult, the experience was one of the most memorable ones.

With Siddharth-Parineeti?s Jabariya Jodi being postponed by a week, T-Series? Sonakshi Sinha?s Khandaani Shafakhana will now have an almost open release. Diljit Dosanjh-Kriti Sanon spoof Arjun Patiala , while the former did manage a 20 crore weekend the latter could just about touch 5 crore mark during the same period. Needless to say that Judgementall Hai Kya can still harbour some hopes but Arjun Patiala faces total rejection.?

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain a petition seeking cancellation of the certification granted to Bollywood movie Article 15 starring Ayushman Khurana.

A bench of Justices S.A. Bobde and B.R. Gavai asked the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority seeking a change in the name of the movie's title and a ban on its screening.

The court was hearing a petition filed by Brahaman Samaj of India through advocate Ranjan Dwivedi.

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, whose new film Article 15 on caste discrimination in the society, is being widely lauded, says people dont take pure entertaining films seriously as compared to movies which have their own strong voice.

Sinha, who has earlier made movies like Dus, Tum Bin, Cash?and Ra.One, was interacting with the media to promote Article 15 here on Friday.
