Remember When Megan Fox Defied Hollywood and Made a Powerful Comeback After Being “Cancelled”? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Ah, Megan Fox—remember when she burst onto the scene like a sultry storm in Transformers (2007)? With her piercing blue eyes and stunning figure, she was more than just a pretty face; she embodied the ultimate dream girl, stealing hearts as the badass car chick Mikaela Banes alongside Shia Labeouf. However, like many Hollywood stories, hers is a tale filled with twists and turns.
After her rise to fame, Fox was crowned FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World in 2008, with the LA Times even labeling her a “s*x symbol of the highest order.”
What happened? She didn’t hold back her feelings about director Michael Bay. In an interview, she infamously described him as “like Hitler on his sets.” That comment was bound to stir up controversy! Unsurprisingly, it didn’t sit well with Bay.

Brian Petsos’ interminable “Big Gold Brick” may be — its endless parade of energy-less moments connected only by the lack of life shared between them, like a daisy chain of skeletons who are all holding hands — but the writer-director sincerely deserves credit for willing his feature debut into existence. That someone with just a handful of wacky shorts to his name was able to make a 132-minute brain fart about the cosmic connection between a suicidal writer (Emory Cohen), the good-natured weirdo (Andy Garcia) who hits him with his car on the highway one night, and the frozen custard that binds their fates together… well, let’s just say “‘Southland Tales’ meets the worst Sundance movie of 2002” is a tough sell these days, and that’s before you add a hostile statue of Santa Claus, a fully adult high school basketball player named Beans Washington, and a deus ex meteor into the mix.

Rarely have two leads seemed to be starring in different movies more than Andy Garcia and Emory Cohen in “Big Gold Brick.” Then again, it’s difficult to know exactly what type of movie writer-director Brian Petsos’ feature wants to be, so haphazardly does it search in vain for a consistent tone, a measure of lucidity and an overarching purpose. The tale of a suicidal writer who finds salvation through a chance encounter with a man of mystery who hires him to pen his autobiography, it’s No matter the arbitrary participation of Oscar Isaac, few viewers will find anything to latch onto when it debuts in theaters and on VOD on Feb. 25.

I’d like to think that, in my time occupying a morsel of space on this pale blue dot we call home, I’ve developed the ability to follow the structure of a film from start to finish; granted, some may be more confusing than others, some may be an incomprehensible mess, some may hardly be worthy of being called movies. Whatever the case may be, I pride myself on what many would barely consider a skill to mostly decipher what’s happening in most films, no matter how perplexing or under the direction of Tommy Wiseau.

"Floyd – I've been looking for you..." Who's ready for something wacky and wild? Samuel Goldwyn Films has unveiled an official trailer for Big Gold Brick, a darkly comedic, genre-bending film from filmmaker Brian Petsos. Big Gold Brick recounts the story of fledgling writer Samuel Liston and his experiences with Floyd Deveraux, the enigmatic, middle-aged father of two who enlists Samuel to write his biography. But the circumstances that lead up to this arrangement are quite astonishing – and efforts to write the biography are quickly stymied by ensuing chaos. He hits this kid with a car then invites him to his home to write about him? Crazy. The cast might just be the best part about this: Emory Cohen, Andy Garcia, Megan Fox, Lucy Hale, and Oscar Isaac. This looks quite trippy and eccentric and absurd, which is the best kind of genre mix for this kind of strange ego-centric story.

In the first episode of “Ragdoll,” the new cat-and-mouse cop show from “Killing Eve” creators Sid Gentle, the lead trio of detectives played by Lucy Hale, Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Thalissa Teixeira encounter a cadaver (the titular Ragdoll) stitched together from the limbs, torso and head of six separate murder victims, strung up from the ceiling.
Even Hale, a self-confessed true-crime fan, was disturbed by the gruesome sight. “I’m pretty good at compartmentalizing, obviously, what I do for a living [and] who I am, what’s real, what’s not real,” the “Pretty Little Liars” alum tells Variety.

A new trailer for Rogue has arrived online. The action/thriller stars Megan Fox, of Transformers and Jennifer's Body fame. It comes from writer/director M.J. Bassett and looks like it could provide a bit of insane fun in a summer movie season that is sorely lacking in that department. Case in point, the main hook is that Fox will be going toe-to-toe with a gigantic, dangerous lion in a woman vs. beast scenario. Let them fight.
The trailer kicks off with Megan Fox leading a team of mercenaries who are looking to capture an asset in Africa. The action ramps up in a hurry with explosions, bullets and a daring escape attempt. Unfortunately, it doesn't go according to play. Fox and her counterparts find themselves on the run, evading a deadly gang. That, on its own, could lay the breadcrumbs for a compelling enough action flick. But then a...

“Jennifer’s Body” is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month, but the movie’s release wasn’t exactly the best of times for star Megan Fox. The movie was marketed heavily on the actress’ sex appeal, which had become something of an obsession in Hollywood following Fox’s breakout role in Michael Bay’s “Transformers.” In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Fox said that constantly being sexualized by Hollywood created a “fraught relationship” between her and both the press and the public.
“It wasn’t just that movie, it was everyday of my life, all the time, with every project I worked on and every producer I worked with,” Fox said. “It preceded a breaking point for me. I think I had a genuine psychological breakdown where I wanted just nothing to do.”
Fox continued, “I didn’t want to be seen, I didn’t want to have to take a photo,...
