The company, based out of New York and Los Angeles, will be a separate entity from Lauritano’s Brooklyn-based production banner Black Magic, which launched last summer. In addition to U.S. cinematographers, production designers, hair and make-up designers, line producers, composers, editors, costume designers, casting directors and alternative clients across various media and the physical art world, Adrenaline will represent clients overseas who are seeking opportunities in the United States.

Brian Petsos’ interminable “Big Gold Brick” may be — its endless parade of energy-less moments connected only by the lack of life shared between them, like a daisy chain of skeletons who are all holding hands — but the writer-director sincerely deserves credit for willing his feature debut into existence. That someone with just a handful of wacky shorts to his name was able to make a 132-minute brain fart about the cosmic connection between a suicidal writer (Emory Cohen), the good-natured weirdo (Andy Garcia) who hits him with his car on the highway one night, and the frozen custard that binds their fates together… well, let’s just say “‘Southland Tales’ meets the worst Sundance movie of 2002” is a tough sell these days, and that’s before you add a hostile statue of Santa Claus, a fully adult high school basketball player named Beans Washington, and a deus ex meteor into the mix.

But the circumstances that lead up to this arrangement are quite astonishing – and efforts to write the biography are quickly stymied by ensuing chaos. He hits this kid with a car then invites him to his home to write about him? Crazy. The cast might just be the best part about this: Emory Cohen, Andy Garcia, Megan Fox, Lucy Hale, and Oscar Isaac. This looks quite trippy and eccentric and absurd, which is the best kind of genre mix for this kind of strange ego-centric story.

Exclusive: AnnaSophia Robb and Emory Cohen are the latest to join the cast of Rebel Ridge, Netflix’s high-velocity thriller from writer and director Jeremy Saulnier. They join previously announced stars John Boyega, Don Johnson, James Badge Dale, Zsane Jhe and James Cromwell.

Sony's planned Metal Gear Solid movie seems to finally be moving forward with Oscar Isaac reportedly on board to play Solid Snake in the big-screen adaptation of the popular video game. Deadline reports that Isaac is now attached to the project, though the news hasn't yet been officially confirmed by the studio. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is also set to direct using a screenplay written by Derek Connolly. Avi Arad will produce and Peter Kang is overseeing the project for Sony.

Exclusive: Keith C. Blackmore’s post-apocalyptic novel Mountain Man is climbing its way to the big screen. The Traveling Picture Show Company (Tpsc) and Balcony 9 Productions have partnered with the author to produce the feature based on the novel, which is the first of a five-part book series. Productivity Media has boarded the project to co-produce and finance.

Tpsc’s Kevin Matusow and Carissa Buffel will produce the feature from a script by Matt Deller. Matusow and Buffel are developing the series of books with Joel David Moore’s company Balcony 9 Productions. Blackore is currently writing two of the books.

Exclusive: Megan Fox and Bruce Willis are joining Emile Hirsch in Randall Emmett’s directorial debut Midnight In The Switchgrass, which Highland Film Group will be selling at the upcoming Efm.

Set in 2004, the film will follow an FBI agent (Fox) and a Florida State officer (Hirsch) who team up to investigate a string of unsolved murder cases. Willis will play Fox’s FBI agent partner.
