Believable NOT

I was brought to this movie 'An Intrusion' by the relatively high score it had on here. The film had an interesting first half with the storyline, although the acting was amateurish. The last third of the story went off the rails so much so it was silly and completely unbelievable. So I sat through a night of bad acting with no payoff.

So bad and boring...

I will siad in a quick way this movie is terrible bad, so you don't waste your time watching this. Bad directing and terrible acting, along with a amateur editing made this movie super boring and bad and it feels like is 3 hours long. So, avoid it at all cost.

The good reviews had to have peen paid for- seriously.

I would rather staple my eyelids shut than view this tasteless piece of "film" again. Gave it a go as a recommendation from friend of a friend- we're no longer friends. Director needs to stick to his 9-5 & stop wasting everyone's time.

Let's Balance Out the Fake Reviews with Another Honest One

Anyone rating this flick more than a "3" (and that's being very, very generous) was either part of the pity-party to pump up the score or involved directly in the film or watching something else and became confused regarding the title. Bad writing, bad directing, bad acting. The best thing I can say about tit is that it was not as long as it could've been. Please do not waste your time.

Oh dear

You know, I was just ALMOST willing to grudgingly give this poorly acted, dumb thing masquerading as a thriller a 3 rating...up until the Southern speaking creepy preacher came out of nowhere speaking of fire and brimstone and evils of the flesh. Then I was like, nah. The only thing that kept it from a 1 is that I generally reserve that for "worst" status, and while this was pretty awful, it wasn't the worst.

I simply could not keep up with what was happening, then again, I didn't care about any of the characters enough to pay that close attention. I was bored from the beginning. The action sequences were too dark and fuzzy to know what was happening, but maybe that was to hide the poor special effects. The low budget was obvious, however the camera quality was good-but the jerky, poorly edited camera work ruined it. Amateur acting all around, but the female detective was particularly bad. The male lead would have been tolerable except for the yelling and constant fits of anger, which must be attributed to a truly hideous script. Even the jump scares weren't jumpy. And in a scene where the father is being obviously attacked, the mother and daughter rather calmly stand back and observe-until THEY get threatened. And the ending just seems to take forever to wrap up.

Frankly, it was a chore to make it all the way through this thing but I was determined to review it. The ones that gave it super high scores? Yeah, I find those HIGHLY suspicious.

I concur - don't waste your time.

I reserve the "1" star rating for movies that I simply can't watch all the way through; I just can't justify wasting enough of my time to watch the whole movie waiting for something to happen. This was a waste of about 40 minutes of my life.

Bad, bad, bad.... bad acting, bad lighting, a story line that seems to bounce all around but never really having anything worthwhile to justify time spent on a scene.

I have absolutely nothing good to say about the movie - the plot idea is one that has been handled in many other movies and in far better ways. This movie is like going to the dentist to get a tooth pulled and then having the dentist pull the tooth out a centimeter at a time over the course of 90 minutes while you anxiously and impatiently wait for the experience to be over.

Great thriller!

Prince shines as Sam, a beleaguered husband/father whose family is targeted by a stalker. This stalker clearly has a personal vendetta with Sam. Hoveland and Cama are also good as Sam's wife, Joyce, and daughter, Rebecca. The story takes many twists and turns as Compton, a local detective tries to put the pieces together. Sam is haunted by his poor choices, and the ongoing uncertainty of the looming stalker sets him on edge. I highly recommend this thriller that contains some classic horror elements.

Torn

The movie was decent, but the story was all over the place. Definitely a disconnect between the plot and twist at the end. Enjoyable for what it was, but manage your expectations.

Suspense

You can not predict the end. If you want to watch a movie that keeps you guessing and investigating the whole time this is the one. I applaud this movie as a thriller!

Secrets are bad for everyone

Sam has been keeping secrets for a long time. Some are revealed through the movie, but the big ones are left for the end. I won't spoil it, I promise. At first I found the movie slow moving. After a while I was intrigued as to what will happen next, so I kept watching. It is a good suspense story that will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I think you will enjoy it, so sit back and get comfy. Let's see if you can figure it out.

Non Stop intensity

Edge of your seat action and intrigue in a well cast professionally put together film. Bravo Nick Holand and Sam Logan Khalghei two o Michigan's rising production teams.

My favorite holiday thriller since "Die Hard"

This is the perfect movie for someone who wants to take part in the tradition of watching Christmas movies - but actually hates Christmas movies. It's the perfect combination of thriller, horror...and the holidays. The plot of "An Intrusion" - a suburbian family who, on the outside, looks like they have the perfect life, experiences a string of home invasions during the holidays. This movie has a unique storyline and keeps you guessing to the end with the kind of WTF ending that's my favorite!
