I found this film as a fan of Katharine Isabelle's. Katharine plays a prisoner in this bunkhouse with several other women who all seem to be tied to one another in a way the film slowly unravels. It's the kind of film that you want to rewatch and talk with someone about because of the psychological parts to it. Know what you're getting into and you'll be intrigued by the characters and their struggle. It's an art film, not an action. It's contained, got moments of excellent tension, touching music, etc but it's not your classic Hollywood thriller.
If you like movies like The LIghthouse, I'd say check it out.

Well worth watching, yet the American accents and twisted ending let it drop from a 9 to a 6 for me.
Can I rate this with zero
Bad plot weak Storyline no actually that's a stage play but not a good one though..
Simply don't wast your time
I'd read and discussed quite a bit about the Gulag in college history classes, but this movie made those experiences come alive in a way that reading about couldn't. A tough movie to watch, but one I thought about for a long time afterward.
I wasn't expecting such an underrated work. But I do not recommend to the typical viewer. This is more for those who like the classics.
The dialog was poetic and unrealistic, yet it was what it needed to be. The camera shots were nice but not remarkable, still they were able to convey the feeling of the environment.
The story is tragic, and the representation was powerful. I loved the way that broken people gripped to live, even knowing that there was nothing to live for.
I didn't like the ending because it felt unnecessary. But it might have been used, a suggestion that everyone that have been there have suffered the same.
