Natalie Hall and Marshall Williams in Mon fiancé mystère (2020)

Fun

Sure it's a rip-off of You've Got Mail and all the others like it, but it was sweetly done. It begins with finding Josh's written love letters to his ex and then switches to online chat between the two. They managed to hold off either one discovering the other's true identity pretty long.

Natalie Hall has been growing on me after seeing her several times in Hallmark style movies more or less recently. She and Marshall Williams do have chemistry and they have plenty of contact throughout the movie both via the chat and as competitors for a grant.

I enjoyed the dialogue and there were some funny moments.

So so

You can't send text messages to someone on your phone without knowing their cellphone number.

Natalie Hall shows a gleam of appeal

I have been unimpressed with Natalie hall in her other hallmark ventures, but she was pretty cute in this one. Her chemistry with the leading man was good. I did not like him in the Daisy Hills, the Cyndy(Sp?) Busbee vehicle mostly because of his monochrome look and his weird choice of hairstyle. He looked OK in this one. The plot did not follow the usual formula so that's always worth a star.

Sincerely, nice movie

It's a cute feel-good cheesy movie to spend a lazy evening. Pretty cliche and predictive but still it's sweet. At least it's not about the struggling business. The leads are nice and the plot is even a bit mysterious.

An OK Hallmark-style movie, recommended if you're into it (like me)

nice

I admitt, I like it. For three motives:
  • Marshall Williams is a good choice for a Prince Charming , vulnerable, some ironic and dedicated to the love of his life;
  • Sherrz Miller who offers just a beautiful portrait of mother;
  • the box with letters, the text messages, the garden activities and the gentle shadow of 1940 romance.

The only frustration - maybe the ignore of nice gardiner by Hayley ( a shorter and some realistic story ).

But, short, a nice film , not different by others , seductive for childhood memories, pizza and tiramisu, for the good intentions and competition, for Jen Pogue fair work and for dialogue between Marisol and Josh, good for be admirer of the motives of the first. So, nice.

Where Do They Get These Male Leads?

Embarrassing, dump the male lead. I don't understand how these "types" get cast as a romantic male lead. Well, actually I do understand. It was obvious. OMG, please dump whoever is casting these "losers." And dump the odd character selecting the male wardrobe for this movie. Uh, baby blue trousers with tan shoes and a dark belt? And a feminine baby blue sport coat with brown elbow patches? Really? OMG a second time. I made it 5 minutes before scratching my eyes out with the pain of watching this travesty of talent and taste. OMG a third time, man up and fire everybody involved in this abnormally sorry piece of garbage.

Super cute movie!!!

This is a 2020 movie but first time I've seen it. The chemistry between leads was awesome. I love Natalie Hall since A Winter Princess. She did not disappoint on this one also. I am now a fan of Marshall Williams. I hope to see more movies with these two.

Cute movie and good characters

I stayed up late to watch this movie and did not regret it. I think the story was interesting and the characters were realistic. I even liked the nonprofit subplot.

I hope it comes on again at a decent time because I would watch it again.

A familiar plot, but beautifully done

Almost gave up on this at the start, but it turned out to be a beautiful version of a familiar plot line. The characters' drive and ambition is for the good of others not about making huge profits. It's a positive and inspiring movie all generations can watch together.

One of the Best

I loved pretty much everything about this movie. It's light and charming. I loved the personalities of the two main characters. They smile a lot which I really appreciate; there's enough negativity in the world. Films like these are why I enjoy chick flicks.
