Kudos to Parthiban for conceiving and crafting this product and presented to us with huge efforts and risk , believing a good product always wins! Written, directed, acted and in fact produced by one man which entered in the Asia book of records!

Once you imagine this kind of movie, three things play vital role in actually reproducing your imagination - Cinematography, Sound design and dialogues. BGM/Songs, acting are secondary to support the spine of the movie.

Well in that aspect, Ramji 🎥 have done an impeccable job! Using various angles, lighting effects, Natural available light, he have experimented a lot to give us a different experience!

Resul pookutty is the real winner making us experience the interaction with the main and the only guy to various people sound like we saw them but we didn't in reality Sam CS adds an enhancement layer using his subtle BGM's.

Parthiban as usual keeps us engaged with his witty, catchy humourous lines wherever we start to feel little bored and has mixed well to keep us glued to the movie just! Messing this mixing factor might make this just as a feeble attempt so mind you!

He also tries his luck in emotions which looks to be just doing okay although at times we feel a bit of overdosage of melodrama.

Not without its flaws, some plot twists turns out to be good equally some of them are real dud like using just a audio as evidence to bail out of life or death situation was not convincing.

Also if you are someone not a fan of Parthiban, fresh new take on movies or a not so patient guy who only likes Micheal bay movies😂, This product wil definitely make you yawn as you need to really focus given that you may miss many of the good things in a flash!

Verdict: Unparalleled imagination and flawless albeit slow narration style makes this worth a watch

Parthiban's Screenplay and directorial excellence.He managed to hold the audience engaged through out the movie. Specially the second half of the movie we will totally forget the fact that one man is only acting. Story telling at its best.

Thriller film which has a non linear story telling, you wouldn't feel only a single person is acting in the movie. Some logic loopholes are there otherwise this film deserved to be in one of the greatest movies of all time in Kollywood still a gud movie and worth to watch. Kudos to parthiban for his unique movie making

A Rare movie which will really surprise you. A crime mystery thriller which will engage you for 2 hrs with a single person holding on screen Ra.Parthiepan

Parthiepan's story narration frame by frame along with voice over of other characters as a director won more than a actor and producer .,

Ramji's camera angle and santhos Narayanan's sound magic acted along the movie.,

Parthiban, portrayed as Masilamani, gets interrogated as a suspect of a murder and what happens next is the story. You'll understand the title of my review after watching the movie. One man show at it's best, it didn't feel like one man movie due to the gripping storyline and the way they took the interrogation. Movies like this should be encouraged for the bold experimental murder mystery. Moviebuffs should definitely watch this. I don't know about others but i loved the way they presented this film.

A rare attempt in Indian cinema and a difficult one to do so. I would give 10 out of 10 for R. Parthiepan for producing such a solo film. Oththa Seruppu will remain as one of the evergreen films in Indian film history.

Excellent movie .. it's not a easy task to mae audience sit for 2 hours by a single actor which Parthiben has done wonderfully well

Surely one thing can be set the writing is the only thing that makes the movie that much interesting when this is the situation where you are the only man going to be there on the screen then you have to think of that how much the right is important and written it in an excellent way everyone will enjoy Parthiban's of writing

Usually in a thriller movie the story must be interesting but in this movie the character of of party one is much more interesting than the story.

One of the rarest attempt in World Cinema and Successfully running movie.. This Flim deserves OSCAR, GOLDEN GLOBE etc..

I like how the film is mainly shot in the first person, you get the perception to be the interviewer. Considering that it is a very recurrent theme in Indian films, I'm mixed concerning its representation of poverty which I thought could have been a lot more subtle. To end a good note, I appreciated Parthibam's performance and the challenge that carrying a whole film alone must have represented to him.

It felt that I am interviewing or intergoating the hero or only character seen the screen.

Sound Design , Background score deserves a applause.

A mystery crime folded with Vast emotions that shows the pity state of a common man who is in poverty-stricken environment but they have to take care of the only world they have, Child .

As a kite we can cross seas, lands and mountains but Like the String of kite our life has to let go smoothly.

It's a mystery plot movie with only narration of events by the protagonist. Yes, it gets monotonous at some point. Credits to the audiography and background score - they are the main reason behind such unique experience. Good watch if you like experimental movies!!

Definitely worth a watch for one-time. World's first solo act movie ever made and the best part is that it does hold you and keeps you engaged with slightly draggy scenes in between. It is engaging due to its usual storyline and its non-linear narration which helps the audience to connect the dots throughout the movie by visualizing the scenes narrated by the character in their heads.

Really unbelievable movie... One man holds you for 2 hrs without boring....

I strongly recommend to watch this movie, not because it is a new attempt, but a very good thriller movie....

Today morning I saw this movie, but still now this movie thoughts are running in my mind.... Just recollecting each and every scene...

This movie instigates your imagination of the incidents which were narrated and brings all the characters on the screen....

What a movie.. Very good narration of the story. A big Wow for this movie and R Parthiban who is a director, writer and hero of this movie did a marvelous job. Very engaging film. Deserves a very big award for this movie but our country's jury didn't select this movie for nominating Oscar. Politics everywhere. Wishing a best of luck for Parthiban. He deserves Oscar.

Oththa Seruppu is a rare attempt in Indian cinema.

The film is written, directed, acted and produced by only one man Parthiepan.

With his script, making style, performance and narration, Parthiepan makes us believe that other characters too exist.

But in reality, he is the only one who is doing the whole show.

The sound design that has given life to other characters through perfect voice-overs

Simply superb. No other words to describe. One must watch to feel the essence of movie.

It's a shame that not many would have heard about this movie(atleast i didn't until i accidentally stumbled upon it on Netflix) Now to the review : A novel movie in the annals of Indian cinema particularly Tamil cinema. Captivating performance by Parthiban (watching him perform, different emotions pass tru u by the second), astounding camera angles n cinematography, brilliant bgm n sound mixing(in the midst of the storytelling by the hero u hear Supraprabhatam feebly in the background,what a touch !)Amazing story and storytelling. We have known Parthiban as a good actor but this is a revelation. Kindly note that the story, screenplay, production n direction r all by Parthiban!! 9/10. This coming from me is not easy.

Indian movies, particularly a regional Tamil movies have come to a pinnacle of height with this masterpiece from R.Parthiban..feel proud of you..an Oscar is not a dream..

I would say, just try it. Parthiepan is a legend when it comes to direction and writing script. There are moments that you might cringe, but it is the best possible attempt in the industry.

If you are cinema lover you must watch it. 120 minutes u can't slip from the script. Few of makers only can think innovatively. Within that, very few of them only can engage the audience ... It's parthiban ... Please watch it &

Movie shot in a single room featuring only one cast rparthiepan(Director and actor) delivered an entirely new narrative experience with his acting is jst wow. The story is brilliantly portrayed right from first scene to last.

Reference movie for all directors. Parthiban has been brilliant in acting and directing this movie.
