At first this appears to be a B-class alien movie. Then it appears to be a B-class romance movie. But the longer it goes on, the more interesting it becomes. By the time it gets to the science part-- FOR ONCE the writers offer a hypothesis that at least makes sense from a science / fiction viewpoint. That in itself was impressive, because it wasn't stupid. Such a well-thought-out, uncontrived plot element is very unusual in this type of film. I suspect they took this from established quantum physics theory; it is just too good to be a random story point.
Some of the acting is cornball, but still fun and tolerable. The real clincher / winner is the last 15 minutes of the movie, which likely could not have been better written or directed. This is often where a movie falls short; those last minutes can make or break a film. Fortunately for this one, it makes the film in a large way, and turns what might have been a UFO turkey into an unusually enjoyable winner.
This is one of those rare low-budget sleeper flicks that is well worth watching.

- TriviaDaryl Anka is the person who channels the extraterrestrial entity, Bashar. Many of the plot points are directly from Bashar's messages. For example, Bashar has said, about 40 years ago, that movement through space was done because everything in space time has a vibration which includes a location component Superimpose a different location vibration on an object and that object just moves to the new location. He said an experiment might be performed with sensitive enough equipment. Take a copper sphere and tap it so that it vibrates, and record the vibration. Repeat in a new location. Move the object back to the first location, and after separating out the location component of the vibration, subject the copper sphere to the second location vibration and the sphere will move to the new location.
