Trivia

Iron Sky

Edit
Adler says Moon Nazi invasion on Earth begins at 5:45 a.m., exactly like the German invasion on Poland that triggered World War Two.
The radio traffic heard in the scene where the spaceships from the other UN countries join the fight was entirely crowd sourced. The dialog was recorded by fans of the film at home and sent to the director.
More than 10 percent of funding for this film came from fans. The donors are listed in the credits.
The German customs office would not allow the film-makers to bring any Nazi costumes and regalia into Germany, but fortunately the makers of Inglourious Basterds helped director Vuorensola by revealing how they had circumvented the same problem.
The character name Vivian Wagner is a reference to a Finnish newspaper comic strip Viivi & Wagner about the relationship between a woman and a pig.

Cameo

Götz Otto: In addition to playing Klaus Adler, he has a cameo as a mustached campaign designer in the scene parodying La Chute (2004). Otto was in the original scene and perfectly mirrors his original role.
Johanna Sinisalo: The writer credited as having the original idea for the film appears as the candidate running against the president in the upcoming election. Seen in the news feed in the start of the limo scene.
Tero Kaukomaa: Finnish representative at the United Nations.

Director Cameo

Timo Vuorensola: In a deleted scene included in the Director's Cut as a homeless man speaking Finnish to Renate and Washington after their encounter with the neo-nazis.
