Sons of the Caliphate

Started to watch this but it was so disjointed, jumping all over the place that I stopped after 20 minutes. I'm sure there's a story in there somewhere, but it comes across as rubbish due to a bad script, and terrible editing! Please leave series like this on the rubbish heap!

Well written, acted, directed. Awesome soap opera about big boys in Nigeria. This is among my favorite series or productions out of Nigeria. Well done and enjoy!

I watched Season 1 and 2 on Netflix in the USA. This TV series is excellent. It has everything a viewer could want from Suspense to Romance to Action. Love the actors, script, storyline, culture and location. The characters all have strong, multi-dimensional personalities regardless of gender. I'm hooked on this show and am looking for Season 3 which has not posted to Netflix yet. Hopefully I can find it elsewhere. If you are a Black Panther movie fan, you will probably enjoy this series as well. It is filled with villians and good guys, unexpected twists and ah hah moments. Would highly recommend.

This series is the opposite of generic, it's culturally relevant and insightful, a few technical hishaps, but good story. It also intorduces us to very beautiful locations.

In the beginning, the acting is not that great, but as you go along, it gets a little better. The actress that plays Binta is beautiful, however, again, acting overall is not really good. The actors need more training overall. I think the actress that played Marina was not that good either. I do not like the fact that it was trying to make it out that she's more better looking than the Binta actress, because Marina actress was lighter skinned and of mixed breed, but I think Binta is way more beautiful than Marina actress. Marina actress was not really good, either, she was kinda "flat", like she was reading her lines off a cue card, and she's out of shape. Overall, I really do like the story line, and if it was better directed with better acting skills, it could go quite a ways. I would love to see season three, because season two left with too many unanswered questions like, who got shot when uncle took the money to the kidnappers spot, and does Marina hook up with Kalijah? And, where the hell is Binta? Hopefully, there will be a season 3 even with all the bad acting, if only to answer the cliffhanger questions.
