Gloria Estefan: singer, actress, and Real Housewife? Considering she's a friend of The Real Housewives of Miami cast, it's not that much of a stretch. But thankfully, we don't have to theorize. The Grammy-winning artist revealed whether she'd be interested in joining the Bravo series' upcoming season during an exclusive interview with E! News. "I'm so proud of them and what they're doing," she said of the Miami Housewives at the June 5 Father of the Bride premiere. But ultimately, "Our schedules are just off kiter," she revealed. "So, I don't know if I'll be there." As for whether she'd be interested in joining the cast in the...

Everyone tried their best, but ultimately it was the three-headed Hydra that lost all of his heads after singing “Sharp Dressed Man” by Zz Top. Only guest panelist Nicole Byer correctly guessed legendary magicians and comedians Penn & Teller were hiding inside!

A huge part of the appeal of “The Masked Singer” is trying to figure out which famous faces are hidden beneath those masks. Season 7 of this reality competition series promises to be the toughest to date with a whopping 16 celebrities hidden inside 15 costumes. Because there are so many stars in the hunt for the Golden Mask, Fox split them up into three groups.
Group A is down to just one contestant, the Firefly. In the first few weeks of the competition we saw the elimination of Cyclops (Jorge Garcia), McTerrier (Duff Goldman), Ram (Joe Buck) and Thingamabob (Jordan Mailata). Group B made their first appearance on March 30 and Lemur didn’t last; she was unmasked as supermodel Christie Brinkley, just as we predicted.
We’ve been rewatching the performances of the remaining Group B contenders and have all “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the answer to the question, “Who is Hydra”? Actually,...

Will Smith is having an interesting week. Just days after his Oscars slap of Chris Rock went viral for all the wrong reasons, his name is now being thrown out as a potential contestant on Fox’s reality TV show “The Masked Singer.”
During the March 30 episode, as the Hydra’s intro video played for the first time, panelist Ken Jeong announced he was “getting a Will Smith vibe” from the three-headed monster. Why? Because there was a Miami theme to the baddie’s clues package, complete with sand, beach balls, waterskis and a rollercoaster over the ocean. And one of Smith’s most popular songs ever just so happens to be titled “Miami.”

Diddy told Page Six that Will Smith and Chris Rock settled their feud after an altercation at the 94th Academy Awards. Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head while presenting the documentary feature category, which resulted in Smith taking to the stage to slap Rock. Smith returned to his seat and yelled at Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!”
“That’s not a problem,” Diddy told Page Six, referencing Smith and Rock’s feud. “That’s over. I can confirm that. It’s all love. They’re brothers.”
Diddy was the presenter who appeared on the Oscar telecast right after the altercation between Smith and Rock. Diddy took the stage to introduce the Oscars’ celebration of the 50th anniversary of “The Godfather” and addressed the situation that had just played out.

While social media erupted into turmoil over the implications of Chris Rock being slapped during the live 2022 Academy Awards broadcast, the culprit himself headed off to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party seemingly completely unbothered.
Will Smith — along with Jada Pinkett, Willow, Jaden, and Trey Smith — attended the famed event together, where he got down on the dance floor to a medley of his own hits, including “Summertime” and his 1997 Big Willie Style singles “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” and “Miami,” his first Academy Award in hand.

If Will Smith was feeling any remorse about slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars on Sunday night, he didn’t show it. The 53-year-old best actor winner, who took home the trophy for his performance in “King Richard,” arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party just after midnight with a large entourage and immediately hit the dance floor.
As the DJ played a medley of Smith’s biggest ’90s hits, the actor sang along to “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” and “Miami” as he shimmied in the middle of a mosh pit of his fans at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, swinging his gold statue in the air.
“It’s all about love,” Smith told Variety, when asked how he was doing.

NBC courted millennial and Gen-z demographics with its New Year’s Eve centerpiece, “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, Hosted by Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson.” The live special aired Friday, Dec. 31 from 10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Et on NBC, with a livestream on Peacock.
The Miami-based event opened with Davidson and Cyrus rapping a lengthy parody version of Will Smith’s “Miami,” with Davidson joking that Bill Cosby and Kevin Spacey might show up to celebrate. Joan Didion, the author revered for her coolly dispassionate essays and novels such as “Play It as It Lays,” has died, her publisher confirmed to The New York Times on Wednesday. She was 87. Along with her late husband John Gregory Dunne, Didion co-wrote screenplays for the films “True Confessions,” “A Star Is Born,” “The Panic in Needle Park” and “Up Close and Personal.”
It was the 1968 essay collection “Slouching Towards Bethlehem” and 1970 novel “Play It as It Lays,” which she also adapted for a 1972 film, that secured her reputation as a sharp-eyed observer of the culture and people of California and beyond.
Another essay collection, 1979’s “The White Album,” assembled from her pieces in Esquire and other magazines, took on subjects that defined the era such as Charles Manson and the Doors, further cementing her place as one of the foremost chroniclers of the tumultuous ’60s and ’70s.

Exclusive: Lifetime has rounded out cast for both installments of Toni Braxton’s Fallen Angels Murder Club, and Angie Harmon’s Barstow (working title) movies. The movies fall under previously signed deals with Braxton and Harmon, in which they will star in and executive produce multiple films for Lifetime.
Eddie Cibrian has joined the first installment of Braxton’s Fallen Angels, while Kelly Hu joins the cast of the second film. Both films are based on the Hollis Morgan mystery book series by author R. Franklin James.
Cibrian stars as Avery Mitchell, Hollis Morgan’s (Braxton) charismatic boss, while Hu will make her debut in the second installment as the mysterious Joelle. Both productions have started filming and will premiere in 2022. Additionally, Harmon’s Barstow (working title) movies has added Kristoffer Polaha as Elliot, a mysterious stranger with a troubling past.
In the first installment of Fallen Angels Murder Club (wt), members of the Club must have two things in common – a love for books and have a criminal record. Hollis Morgan (Braxton) meets both requirements. Left holding the bag in an insurance fraud scheme concocted by her ex-husband, Hollis served her time and now hopes the court will pardon her conviction so she can return to law school and fulfill her dream of becoming a lawyer. But when a member of her book club is murdered in a scene straight out of the previous night’s novel, Hollis once again becomes the subject of police scrutiny. Refusing to get stuck with another bad rap, Hollis sets out to investigate her fellow club members and after a second book-inspired murder, she races to identify the killer before she becomes the next victim.
Cast also includes Keith D. Robinson, Lisa Berry, Yanic Truesdale (Gilmore Girls), Kaitlyn Leeb (Spinning Out), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia), Rainbow Sun Francks (Umbrella Academy), Henderson Wade, Rob Stewart, Raoul Bhaneja and Shawn Ahmed.
The Fallen Angels Murder Club films fall in line with Lifetime’s Broader Focus initiative which supports the hiring of women in key production roles. The movies are produced for Lifetime by Brain Power Studio and executive produced by Beth Stevenson, Nancy Yeaman, Toni Braxton and Rhonda Baraka. The films are written and directed by Baraka.
In Barstow (wt),Harmon stars as Hazel King, a single mother determined to shield her daughter from the life she once had while protecting and defending those who can’t protect themselves. Plucked off the streets of Las Vegas at 15, Hazel was trained as a hit woman until a surprisng pregnancy drives her to leave it all behind. Living as a single mother running a diner in Barstow with her teenage daughter, Hazel’s past eventually catches up with her and she’s pulled back in for one more hit.
Additional cast include Lauren Richards, George Paez, Tim Granaderos, Gabriel Rodriguez, Casey Mills, Ben Cain, Anthony Reynolds and Nelson Bonilla.
The Barstow movies are produced for Lifetime by Untitled Entertainment and executive produced by Angie Harmon, Michael Rosenberg, Laura Notarianni, Stan Spry and Eric Scott Woods. The first film is written by Tom Evans and directed by Howie Deutch.

Hot girl summer has been a long time coming.
Back in August 2019, when Megan Thee Stallion released her collaborative single of the same name with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, the term had just started to go viral online thanks to a line in her Fever cut “Cash Shit.” A love letter from the Houston, Texas, rapper to her devotees, “Hot Girl Summer” embraces the very self-confidence and pride that women, especially black women, are often shamed for possessing when growing up. It exalts listeners who need it most.

Will Smith is apparently dead in The Tomorrow War cinematic universe, and this could be a subtle reference to his Independence Day character. Though there are time travel elements thrown in, The Tomorrow War is getting a lot of comparisons to Independence Day due to its similar premise. Both movies even shared an Independence Day opening weekend, though The Tomorrow War skipped a theatrical premiere to debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

For the first time in a while, Netflix is adding no new titles today, so let’s instead take the opportunity to recap what’s gone up on the streaming site over the past week, from Saturday, August 1st to Saturday, August 8th. As that encompasses the first day of the month, there was a huge amount of fresh content added to Netflix’s library over this period. To be exact, there were 49 movies and 24 TV shows.
On the film side of things, this haul includes many an acclaimed or cult favorite flick from across the decades in all kinds of genres. The highlight is probably the entire Jurassic Park trilogy, which has proved popular with Netflix users as the first two entries have been hanging around the top 10 most-watched movies list almost ever since arriving. 80s classic fantasy flick The NeverEnding Story and its sequel were added on the 1st as well,...

As good of a month as July was for Netflix subscribers, the streaming giant looks to deliver an almost as impressive August and they kicked things off yesterday with a huge drop that comprised old classics, forgotten films, underrated gems and more. And while not super heavy for horror, in particular, there were still a few notable titles that arrived on the platform yesterday that are sure to get your blood pumping and make your palms sweaty.
For instance, the original Jurassic Park trilogy – that’s Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III – is now on Netflix and while perhaps not the scariest films out there, they still do have their moments of horror and hold up very well even today. The first one, of course, is a bonafide classic, but its two sequels are certainly worth a watch as well.

Though Netflix has dropped a few notable titles from its library to say goodbye to July, today has brought us a whole heap of fresh content to usher in the new month. With over 30 new movies and TV shows, August has been welcomed with a truckload of classic films, mostly from the 90s and the early 00s, as well as some other interesting titles that you may want to check out.
The most attention-grabbing additions are all three Jurassic Park movies, which are hopping over to Netflix after a short stint on Peacock. So, you may want to travel back to Isla Nubar yet again this weekend and treat yourself to a rewatch of the prehistoric trilogy. Elsewhere, there are the two sequels to Ocean’s Eleven and medieval adventure A Knight’s Tale starring the much-missed Heath Ledger.

Netflix‘s new releases for August 2020 should be a hell of a good time.
How else are we supposed to describe the month that features the long-awaited arrival of Lucifer season 5? Yes, ol’ Lucy finally returns on August 21 for what is now the penultimate season of the show.
While Lucifer is the main highlight of Netflix’s original offerings on August, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some other intriguing options to stream. The Rain season 3 arrives on August 6, Wizards: Tales of Arcadia on August 7, and Teenage Bounty Hunters on August 14. That’s not even to mention a potential blockbuster movie in the form of the Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt starring Project Power.
In August, Netflix also continues its high-profile poaching of other worthwhile properties as well. August sees the arrival of both The Legend of Korra and Cobra Kai, opening up two worthwhile series to an even wider streaming audience.

As we already knew, some of the highlights include Jamie Foxx superhero vehicle Project Power and the fifth and penultimate season of DC’s Lucifer. Now, however, we can see there’s a lot more to look forward to besides just that.

Now that we’re two thirds of the way through July, we’ve got a pretty good idea of what’s coming to Netflix next month. New titles are being added all the time and while some days remain lacking in content at present, on the whole we know what to expect on the streaming service in August. As always, there’s a huge variety, too, from foreign titles to documentaries to new TV series to much-anticipated Netflix originals.
Some of the more notable additions to the line-up that have been added since it was first announced last week include 2003’s Seabiscuit, the jockey drama starring Tobey Maguire, and the next season of Transformers Rescue Bots Academy, both coming on the first day of the month. And remember, this is far from the full list of new arrivals for August, as it only encompasses what’s been announced so far,...

We’re only halfway through July, but we already know much of what’s coming to Netflix in August. Obviously, plenty more titles will be announced as the month draws nearer, but there’s still a bunch of highly anticipated movies and TV shows already on the schedule.
Just today, we got our first trailer for one of them – the streaming giant’s new superhero action flick, Project Power, starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, that’s based around a mysterious pill that imbues whoever takes it with superpowers for a total of five minutes. That’s dropping on August 14th.
Before that, however, the first day of the month brings Killing Hasselhoff, Netflix’s new comedy movie starring David Hasselhoff himself and Ken Jeong as a nightclub owner who has to resort to desperate measures to pay off a loan shark. It was originally supposed to land on July...
