Brought me to tears

I was skeptical about going to the cinema to watch a 2hr 15 minute concert film, however after leaving the cinema I have absolutely no regrets. This combined elements of cinema, theater and of course music. The accompanying images shown during the songs complimented the music perfectly, and the sets where incredible, especially the Battersea power station which was recreated during the performance of songs from the Animals (1977) album. (Everyones lowkey favourite floyd album) I will say I did find the 10 minutes of aggressive Trump bashing during the performance of Pigs slightly excessive, especially as Waters seems to want to promote peace and unity with his music, I did feel this could have used a little more subtlety. Apart from that, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this film, I actually found myself with tears in my eyes during the performance of Another brick in the wall PT 2, I styled it out by not wiping my eyes, and my friends still think I am a tough guy. The musicians were absolutely astonishing, all of them put in a flawless performance.

Highly recommended!!!

A new way to listen to Dark Side Of The Moon

It's not just a concert. It's a mix between a Roger Waters show and a drama movie, that tells some parallel stories about minorities, war, humanity and all of that stuff you can expect from Waters (so, yeah, it's very political, no surprises here). I was expecting just a concert movie, but the documentary aspect made it superb and very emotional, so it's not just a "boring" regular movie show.

Roger Waters knows how to perform a magnific gig, and this tour sounds just like a modern Pink Floyd, unlike his old tours wich the musics sounded like just a good Pink Floyd cover. Also, it has a very good mix, just like the The Wall Tour, wich is one of the best live mix I've listened.

This time, the projections shows a orb travelling trought our world, just like it would be in a Pink Floyd concert. If it may now sound exactly like Pink Floyd, it at least it LOOKS like what a modern Pink Floyd show would be (of course, with a lot of political questions).

Also, the show is the Dark Side Of The Moon album, but with some songs added in the adulthood part (B side). The order of the songs are perfect and make it a incredible show with a more complex narrative. A must watch for Pink Floyd fans.

(I don't get why people dislike Roger Waters or any people just by his beliefs. Yeah, he says a lot of garbage, including about my country, that he knows nothing about but still saying some superficial stuff. But I can separate Waters pollitical opinions by Waters artistic side, and yeah, this show is a masterpiece and can be enjoyable... unless you REALLY like Trump.)

Classic Songs done by the man himself

Waters one of the founding and driving members of Pink Floyd brings his version of some of the bands classic songs to this concert . Well filmed and the sound is very high quality . Some may not like his anti Trump message near the end , but Rogers a product of lower middle class England in the 60s has always had something important to say . Definitely worth a watch and listen .

A fantastic look into one of the greatest tours ever performed

This film is a phenomal glance closer up to Roger Waters' magnum opus tour.

I was lucky enough to be there for the actual tour and this film stood up as about as close to that experience as you could get. The directing, cinematography and VFX are fantastic, the film looks unbelievably good!

All of the imagery is captured so perfectly that it's hard to imagine how it could be done better! It truly captures the feeling of being there, this film also provides a deeper, clearer look into the message behind the tour, told through the film presented on screen behind the band, which is delightfully presented in full screen clarity in this film, with parts added.

There is so much to love about this concert film, Roger still sounds fantastic, it's shot brilliantly, it has a powerful, poignant message about the state of the world, and of course, the music is beyond brilliant.

Don't miss the opportunity to see this masterpiece in cinemas! Fingers crossed they release this on 4k blu ray! Shine on!

A message for future generations

Us and Them is something that should be shared and watched amongst everyone around the world. Every minute of the event has been thought out to present the confronting reality of what our world has become. Symbolism is used to present the audience with strong political ideas that are very prevalent in today's society. This live performance has broadened my understanding of the music and will eventually be an event to go down in history! Well done Roger Waters

Stunning

Unfortunately I missed out on seeing the live show due to being away on holiday. Being a huge Pink Floyd fan I found this absolutely stunning. Can't wait for the blu ray release.

An emotional trip, like usual, and by that I mean it's always SUPERB!

This movie/concert only deserves a ten star rating, anything lower is just not justified. I'm kidding of course, if you don't like Pink Floyd or Roger Waters it's your right to not like it, but reading from another reviewer that actually likes Pink Floyd smashing this movie down because there is too much anti-Trump propaganda or too much leftist propaganda is just ridiculous. What did you expect from Roger Waters? That's exactly what we (Pink Floyd addicts and fans) want to see. His music is about everything that goes wrong on this planet, and Trump is part of that. That said, Us + Them was a show I didn't see yet (live I mean). I had the honor and pleasure to see them five times live, with the biggest concert of my life in Berlin in 1990 to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall eight months earlier (half a million of people singing together that's just a moment I can't describe), so you could say I can judge them fairly, or at least compare the different shows. The truth is that Us + Them had me four times in tears, and that's not a bad thing at all, on the contrary. It's just a powerful concert, and that you can witness in the audience, which you see in several shots, they are clearly all touched by the whole gig . This show is visually very powerful, and musically it's just Pink Floyd, and that's by definition always perfect, the best you can get in music.

The music was great - but be prepared for a left wing political event

I guess this film is pretty much what you would expect. The music/stage production/sound/video was amazing. Wonderful hearing all the Pink Floyd favorites and the band was amazing - my favorites were the two blond "twins" with the heavenly voices. But be prepared to sit through a very political event as Waters unabashedly puts all his politics on display. If he was really concerned about "us + them" he could have put a few shots of the twin towers burning and collapsing, or ISIS beheading prisoners in orange jumpsuits.

A life changing movie if you've never seen the tour. A reminder of humanity for those of us who have.

Genius. Everything about it. The production of his tour and the way it is portrayed in the film is fantastic. This is definitely something everyone should see, even if you aren't a "Pink Floyd Fan". Those that review this movie poorly, are strictly doing so because they feel the "right wing is under attack". This is not the case, it simply highlights the reality of challenges our world face and remind us all that there is no Us & Them. We are all humans and need to collectively make it work.

Plus the music itself is sublime. MUST SEE.

Music: Yes please. Politics: Leave at home Roger

As a life long Floyd fan, loved the music as always will but do not want to go to live gigs to have political propoganda rammed down my throat. Saw Roger at Hyde Park in 2018 and was the same - constant anti-Trump rhetoric (am no Trump fan by the way), subversive anti-west propoganda, Palestine promoting etc, was just too much. We get your views and beliefs Roger and we know it is pretty bog standard to be a leftie if you are in the entertainment industry, but just play the music otherwise you are going to alienate a lot of people. Never would have thought I would ever say this but not sure if I would see him again if I knew he was going to do the same. At Hyde Park by the end I had become Uncomfortably Numb!

True to the originals and beautifully visualised

This was magnificent, period. Many of my current favourites isn't part of this concert, but hey, my Pink Floyd favourites has shifted through my life, so this was more of a collection of a lot of my previous favourites. I had the pleasure of seeing the other part of Pink Floyd live in Nice in the 90s, but possibly this was a even greater performance. I've always been a Gilmour fan, but the composing genius of Waters is without question the biggest reason for their formidable success. And most of Waters' lyrics has a sharp message. So, to all of you who think this was too politically biased, have you ever actually read the lyrics? Waters has always been on the left side in politics, with stark criticism of the establishment/system, of greed, of war mongering and everything else he finds wrong in this world. You could start by reading the lyrics on Animals - a little hint, it's not about animals at a farm.

So it's just plainly ignorant to give this concert a low rating just because you don't like his message. That is his privilege to do and what you should expect from him. Agreeing or not.

I WENT FOR THE MUSIC

Not a Trump lover or hater. I went for the show and was not disappointed. Could have scaled down the political pinpointing for sure. I'm old enough to know we can't blame the world's problems on one president of the US. But the music and the visuals were extraordinary. Roger Waters is genius. Just ignore the political posturing.

Strong warning: very subversive

Well, what can I say... let's go over the pros quickly. Technically the BD is irreproachable. The picture quality is pristine, not 4k HDR but still. The animations are great "technically". The soundtrack is wonderous, I mean a concert in Atmos is so rare, and the mix is top notch. That's it for the pros. Now let's get to the content. Oh boy, everybody knows what a MF and a SB Roger is. This has been covered by and large for many generations. It is funny to see him shout at his sheepish audience "we don't need no thought control" when all he does is brainwashing them with blatant subversive messages, again and again. I would warn my kids very strongly and prepare them thoroughly before I'd let them attend such a show. That's like a training camp for Antifa. The whole show reeks of the most brainless leftism there is. You can't even concentrate on the music for 2 minutes without being bombarded by subliminal messages or more obvious ones. This guy just instill hatred and reverts all common values upside down, and everybody's cheering. My god this is not very promising for the coming generations.......

Save your money

Awful. Can't really describe how bad this was. I love Pink Floyd. I unfortunately haven't had the pleasure of seeing a live Floyd concert. I have seen knock off bands that I appreciated. Had I seen all of this at a concert it would be a different story. All this "movie" is, is some concert footage and a bunch of Trump Hate Rhetoric. If it had come out in the 70's the visual effects might be impressive. In today's world it was seriously something I couldn't wait to get out of. I went with two stars because some of the footage of a few of the classics was nostalgic. Save some money and go to a movie. This was a waste of my time, for sure not worth the $$$.

Except for the pigs...!!

This would have been a 10 rating. But... I think Pink Floyd were sensational and visionary. This show was a great watch except for the huge lack of responsibility to one of the most maligned animals on earth. I found this lacking in forethought and horrifically thoughtless, and it ruined the entire thing for me. We abominate these innocent animals and then without thought, talking of equality for 'all'...the rot set in here. If this was the best they could come up with as an analogy for elites and autocracy then so sorry, simply horribly done and not good enough. I was incredibly disappointed. Music is great. I would have preferred to also see some 'reality' added to this message of 'equality' with perhaps the girls who are singing being of another ethnicity, ones with those really amazing, huge voices like the original DSotM had, you'll know the bit. Entertaining, too overtly political, which I found a turn off and therefore had me wondering about the message bringers, the message, why, who and what for. Otherwise, if you don't care about anything but the music, you'll love it.
