    HORRIBLE

This has to be by far one of the worst movies ever in the history of movies including both tv and theater movies. The acting was so bad it doesn't make any sense. I'm confused as to how lifetime even allowed this movie to be on its network! The main 2 characters acting was the worst I've ever seen. I don't know what they did to get this role but I hope they didn't quick their day job.

The writer/director must have been high when he put this film together....

This film starts out as the atypical high school teenagers story. It's decent during the 30 minutes, but it quickly goes downhill from there. The main character, who is a flawed, but noble girl, makes some of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen. The worst part of this was the villain, Lexi. I'm not going to spoil it, but this movie fails horribly at suspending disbelief. There were so many face palm moments it was pathetic. This film honestly should have been a comedy. Plot points are left unresolved, resulting in a mess. It's sad that Lifetime movies have great build-up based on the trailers, and end up being damn near trash.

Very good for a TV movie

I hunted this weekend for lifetime movies. I like that they are wholesome but intense but not traumatizing. I also want to move to LA and I know these movies are often filmed in California settings (Walking the Halls, Death Clique, Teenage Bank Heist, etc). I try to be objective and rate movies based off of what they are. If this was a worldwide theatrically released or streamed movie, I would be confused. But for a TV movie on family cable, this is totally fine. It's rather simple: New small town girl in a rich suburb tries to fit in with a disturbed spoiled queen bee and her sidekick friends, but might become the hero after a student ends up dead at an underage party. It'll do.

It is true though that the acting is bad, but that's probably due to the writing and directing style. The director has all the right and power to say CUT. If these girls are ever over the top, flat tone or face, or speaking oddly or unrealistically like "Yes. We must stop her" saying each letter as well when American teens instead often would say "yea, we gotta stop her." Or if they are saying "get off me, please stop" just like that, no emotion despite the situation, while a crazy killer is attempting to push you down the stairs...then the director should immediately stop the take lol but he let them carry on and sent it through anyway.

But at the same time, it's ok. California especially the Greater Los Angeles area is saturated with layers and levels of the talent industry. There's amateur to indie to mainstream and superstardom. There's millions of people competing and performing in each level. So these girls are living their actress dreams, I guess...which is great. It's just this film isn't great. But it's not bad. I did gasp and pikachu face out of surprise a lot while watching (maybe I'm in a good mood. Or maybe it's because I didn't read the summary before watching so I had no clue what it was about). For people who did know what it's about, maybe they were let down.

I do notice though that there's so many negative movies around, and lifetime lacks light hearted comedies unless they're silly romances.

    Hahaha

Was that supposed to be a comedy? If not, it was horrible. And can they say GHB one more time...uggghhh

    Too much screaming

OMG! The villain yelled and screamed constantly. It almost drove me insane. The movie does kinda keep you guessing. Although you know who is the villain, you never know what she is going to do. So it did keep you in suspense. It would have been entertaining if not for the villain's constant yelling. The acting is the same bad acting I have come to expect from a Lifetime/LMN movie. So no surprise there. The actor who played the villain's mother, although attractive, looked too old to be the mother of a high school girl. Someone younger would have been more believable. Some of the photography is lovely to look at. The movie isn't too bad if you can get past the villain's constant screaming. So unnecessary.

Jackie: [seemingly upset] Lexi, where are you? Lexi!

Lexi: [comes upstairs, innocently] Yes, mother?

Jackie: [sternly] Don't 'yes, mother' me.

      Lexi: What's wrong?

Jackie: Did you put drugs in that boy's drink?

Lexi: No! I--I told you that I didn't! Don't you believe me?

Jackie: No. No, I don't. The detectives just called me! They're pressing charges against me! For serving alcohol to minors!

Lexi: [still acts innocent] That's ridiculous!

Jackie: No. No, no, YOU'RE ridiculous! And I want you out of this house.

      Lexi: What, mother--you're acting irrational!

Jackie: No, no, no, no! I am PERFECTLY lucid. As a matter of fact, I haven't thought this clearly for a really long time! You're going to be eighteen in a few weeks. I'm done. I don't have to take care of you anymore.

Lexi: [laughs furiously] That's funny, mother!

[goes up to her mother's face]

Lexi: [yells] When did you EVER take care of me? I've been taking care of you since I was ten years old!

Lexi: [unfazed] Say whatever you want. I want you out of this house, by tonight.

Lexi: [calmly] Sure, mom. I think that's what's best for the both of us. I'll just go grab some things.

Jackie: [dissatisfied] Good. I'm glad you're thinking clearly now.

      Lexi: [smirks evilly] GOODBYE, MOTHER!

[Lexi suddenly pushes her own mother off the railing of the stairs and falls two stories down and falls on the floor breaking her neck, dying instantly]

Lexi: [looms over, smiles evilly] Daddy always told you to be careful on the stairs.
