As a teenager, I wouldn't say i completely love this show. However, i don't think its as bad as a lot of people put it as. Yes, there are some things that could be changed but overall, it has potential. I mean, when i see a really good show, and look back to their first season.. the episodes are pretty lame, but eventually the seasons and episodes get better and better. This show just came out and i think its doing well.
As far as 'tips' go for the show, i would definitely suggest that they cut that recorded audience laugh after every line! Its good once in a while, but come on, you guys play it after lines that are not even funny. Another thing, & I'm going to be completely honest, but that one girl on the show who plays rebecca needs to take some better acting classes. Actually, a lot of the cast members do, but she's just.. the one that stands out the most. The girl who plays DJ, i think is the only one who can act, and the guy who plays Wilder isn't bad either. One more thing i would suggest, is adding a new character, and maybe adding a new twist to the next season.
I would also recommend to people who hate this show, and have only probably watched 5 min and shut it off.. try watching a few episodes before you judge the show, i guarantee a few of you may like it.. (depending on your age). I mean, its not something i watch on a daily basis, but i admit it is a good show, for kids that is.

Something to watch for the time it was made. I was pretty small when this came out and i loved it then. Unfortunately i couldn't watch it full but i loved rebecca and noahs chemistry... They were so cute together
Definitely todays kids and teen shows are more relevant to todays times, but for 90s and 2000s babies, the latest buzz was it...
Its more like a nostalgic recall for me then any intellectual or critical rumination.
Thanks to latest buzz for making this little girls days better
Secondly "homework date" memory is etched in my brain as i dreamed of calling a boy in the same...
well i couldnt to this date...

I sat down and watched this show with my little sister last week. I didn't expect much thinking that this is a Canadian show and most Canadian shows (besides Life With Derek or Naturally Sadie) are pretty poor. My sister was the one that convinced me to watch this show. She told me that it was the worst show she's ever seen. Do not take the time to actually turn to watch this show. It's 30 minutes of garbage. This show kind of reminds me of Zoey 101, they're both very cheesy, but at least Zoey 101 had some laughs included. The actors are terrible and have no experience what so ever. They should at least be seen in some commercials or something because they do not know how to act even if their life depended on it. This show gets a flat out 1/10.
This show is probably the coolest, funniest show for kids or teens ever. I would love to work at a place like Teen Buzz! The characters get to cover interesting stuff and people for the magazine, they still go to school, and of course, crushes develop... I understand not loving a show and having your own opinion, but the negative stuff that some people have said, IMO, is totally because the actors look young. Like, reeeally young in the first season! Everyone is so use to seeing 25 year olds playing 15 year olds that it's weird to see people the right age. So I bet some people say, oh this is a little kiddie show, it's dumb! Instead they should give it a chance because it is smart and does stuff other shows don't. As for wasting forum space talking about laugh tracks, wow. I sure do not get that! Laugh tracks have only been on most sitcoms since the fifties! Anyway, check out this show. I think you will love it and will get hooked on the different relationships for sure!!

Normally I don't hate kid's shows, but this one is just terrible. The acting is wooden, the characters are all unlikeable, and the plot is not as interesting as the advertisements made it out to be. It may be just a kid's show, but not even kid's will enjoy it. My niece finds it extremely boring and unfunny.
The show has two huge flaws that make it practically unwatchable. The first, is the god-awful acting. I know they're inexperience kids and all, but come on, they can do way better. Their delivery is off, and the way they act, especially during the comedic scenes, is incredibly awkward. It seems they are trying to hard to make the dialogue funny, which is hard to do because of the horrible script.
The second flaw is the laugh track. We've all seen it in Disney shows before; a character does or says something funny, and you hear an audience laugh. The laugh track in this show, is completely overused and annoying. After practically every line of dialogue, you hear the audience laugh. I am beginning to doubt there is even a real audience, and that the laughing is prerecorded.
This show is a definite waste of time, and painfully over advertised. It's a show that simply isn't worth your time. 1/10 stars.

I couldn't believe they would show such a substandard "comedy" on Disney channel. To summarize the serial in three simple points; 1) Pathetic acting! 2) God awful script. 3) Where is the laughter coming form???! (I think there is no audience, just prerecorded laughter, the timing of which is plain 'awful') If you want to check your endurance..... then go ahead try to sit through an episode, you will know what the buzz is all about!! At first glance it hit me like a remake of 'Lizzie McGuire' with all the classic characters, but boy was I wrong!! I wanted to give this a rating of 0 but IMDb wont let me... :)

The Latest Buzz is a great show! I watch it with my younger sister and we find it hilarious!!!
I happen to like the laugh track...I mean who wants to laugh alone??? It adds to the show rather than taking away from it!
The actors do a great job too. I think they are extremely talented and play their roles well! The characters are all very likable! They always come through for one another, which is a great lesson for anyone to take from the show.
I love how they write about different things like music, fashion, sports, etc. Most of all, I love the fact that this show encourages journalism!
Kudos to The Latest Buzz!!

I was looking forward to the premier of this show because I thought that another good Canadian show was about to come out. I was wrong. This is probably one of the worst television shows ever made because of the acting and the script.
The script is cheesy and follows a very flat plot. The plot basically goes no where. The acting isn't good at all. I feel sorry for these kids because the show didn't try hard enough to get the kids to act more natural. I don't want to attack the actors because they are only kids and you never know what the director might be telling them to do. I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone. Stick to Life with Derek. Even Naturally Sadie.
The Latest Buzz is just a waste of time to watch. By they way the laugh track gets extremely annoying because it goes off after pretty much every line even if it isn't supposed to be funny.

This show is hilarious!!! Everyone does an awesome some job! It is very cute how they show the different aspects of teenage girls/boys... They have covered everything from that of music lovers to that of a gamer and a person who is into student issues and fashion and even celebrity gossip! The cast is very apt. I don't think any other actors could do a better job since I had seen the unaired pilot of The Latest Buzz named Glimmer on YouTube and the main female actor from 90210 played Rebecca and she didn't seem to do the role very well (and F.Y.I. she was too old for the role of Rebecca!:P) and neither did the other actors in Glimmer! And I think The Latest Buzz is the best Canadian show so far followed by Life With Derek. I do not think Naturally Sadie is that great but The Latest Buzz is nothing like that and in fact I haven't seen any other show which is even similar to this. It is a brand new idea! It is very very entertaining and don't forget hilarious! PS: If there are any hardcore fans of The Latest Buzz and you are upset that there are hardly any pictures and information about this show then you should consider joining Facebook since The Latest Buzz has an official group on FB! And there are many pictures and lots of info. You can ask anything you are dying to know about The Latest Buzz to Barbara Haynes (One of the writers of TLB) and Brent Piaskoski. (The creator of TLB)
Hope this helped :)

I've been able to see most of the first season of "The Latest Buzz", and let me tell you, the show gets funnier and funnier. Most of the stars were in their first acting gigs, but they get good really fast, and let's face it - it's way better to have 14-15 year olds playing 14-15 year olds, than having 28 year-olds playing 16 (hello, OC?).
These kids are real kids, playing the right age, and they're friggin hilarious! Especially Michael and Wilder!
And yes, "The Latest Buzz" has a laugh track. So do a lot of great comedies, like "Friends" and "How I Met Your Mother". Get over it. I did after less than one episode. I can honestly say that I've laughed out loud at every episode I've seen, and I've enjoyed every one. Each of the characters is fun and interesting, and this show is at least as good as "Life with Derek" and "Hannah Montana".
The people in India have already seen 20 or so episodes, and "Latest Buzz" is the #2 kids show on Disney Channel India, second only to "Hannah Montana". "Buzz" also had the best premiere ratings for any show in Family Channel's history in Canada - so people are watching and loving it... why aren't you? :D

I managed to get my hands on advance screening copies for a number of episodes from this great new show, and I was really impressed with how quickly the show found its stride and developed into something truly extraordinary. This is what this country has been waiting for for a long time: a true sit com on a par with the best of its U.S. counterparts! Like all great shows aimed at young people, there are plenty of laughs here to keep the parents tuning in along with their kids. The cast is made up of some truly gifted young actors, and together they create an ensemble that brought to mind what the cast of Friends might have been like if they all met when they were in Junior High.
With respect to the show's writing, the dynamics between the characters--and the situations they all get themselves into--are consistently smart, engaging, and never seem to talk down to its young audience members. And somehow they manage to strike that delicate balance of sentiment and high jinx.
For my money, this show has more entertainment value packed into one frame than a whole season of Degrassi.

This show wasn't bad but at the same time wasn't very good. Some decent acting can't save it from some bad writing and jokes, and the stories just got old and annoying far too often. Even for a kids show this wasn't a very good series that could keep anyone's interest for too long. 4 in 10.
Latest Buzz is my new favorite show! My friends and I all love it and think its different than all the other shows out there for kids. The stories are hilarious, the fact the kids get to work in this cool magazine is so awesome, and I love the relationships between the characters. I don't get all the comments about the laugh track that some people are saying. Hannah Montana and Zack and Cody have laughs after every line and I don't think those shows are anywhere near as good as Buzz. This show is great!! The dialog is smart, the acting is good (especially for such young actors who LOOK the right age!) and the Buzz office looks amazing. I'm waiting for new episodes and watching stuff on YouTube in the meantime!

This show wasn't so bad but it was pretty boring. The kids Zoe, Justin, Demetrius, Vanessa and Munro were also a mixed bag as far as acting ability goes but that is par for the course for children's TV shows. I was surprised to see it lasted several seasons but even though it was boring with some low quality writing and acting it was still better than a lot of competitor TV shows for kids which tend to be really awful.

This show 'The latest buzz' is aired on Disney channel in India. in started somewhere in February. unfortunately i missed some of the episodes and then one day i watched its episode.
that first episode i saw was 'The date issue'. Rebbecca have to work on the first date issue for her column 'in so many words'. Noah tried to help her. that was their first 'homework date'. i simply loved that episode. since then i am watching all its episodes.
All the teenagers Zoe,Justin,Munro,Demetrius and Vanessa are doing good job on the show. this show has new storyline and concept. DJ and Mr S are also providing really good motivation to these teens for their magazine. Chemistry between DJ & Mr. S is rocking too.
in India all 13 episodes of first season already aired and now they are showing repeat telecasts only. I am so eagerly waiting for the second season now. simply its rocking show. i think not only teens, viewers of all age can enjoy this show.

This show is very welcome in our home! I have watched this with my kids on several occasions and we all enjoy it immensely! I personally believe that there is a lot of great Canadian work, and this is certainly among what I enjoy. For those fellow Canadians that grew up enjoying Mr. Dressup, the homage to him through "Ernie Coombs High School" was great to see. We found the characters were an interesting cross section of individuals. the interplay between these characters from all walks of life will give rise to many interesting conflicts, I am sure. We are particularly interested in seeing the development of the characters of the teacher and the editor. They serve as interesting and contrasting support for the kids. This is a great show for kids, clearly written from their perspective. Mr. Piaskoski has done a wonderful job, and is a great example of what Canadian work can achieve.

After having watched this show on ABC with my little brother every school afternoon for the past month i can only say one thing....i love it! it makes my afternoon complete being able to sit down and watch a thoroughly light-hearted children's show without feeling the need to criticize particular characteristics which would - in any other circumstance - be considered the result of amateur directing and/or mediocre acting.
The show's setting and choice of young cast lend towards the obvious knowledge that this show is first and foremost targeted towards children, an audience who will not respond and acknowledge the grandeur of elaborate set designs and a Hollywood-style script. Instead the show achieves a very rare nostalgic feeling for the older audience and lets children watch a show that is....well....FUN!
I highly recommend it for anybody who watches TV to enjoy themselves and have a good time!!

I found this page because my kids (10 and 14) absolutely love this show, but don't have an IMDb account. They've asked me to write their comments as well as my own, but the truth is, we all think the same thing - the show is fantastic! There aren't many series that both my kids watch together, but this is one of them. They find it funny, they think the actors are cute and don't "ham it up" or over-act like many actors on kids' shows, and they look forward to new episodes. I took them to a Buzz Bash party and they were thrilled to meet some of the actors who were very polite and generous. I also accompanied a writer friend of mine to a symposium on The Latest Buzz. The series creator was there, and they showed three episodes from upcoming seasons. A room full of adults laughed out loud throughout the screenings, and this was a tough crowd! The future episodes were better than the ones on the air now, so kids have a lot to look forward to.
I'm quite puzzled by some of the comments on this board, since my kids and I (and their friends) like the show so much. Obviously not everyone is going to be a fan of everything, and maybe, because of your age or interests, this show isn't for you. But to me, The Latest Buzz is considerably better than other kids' shows on the air. The bottom line - it's a great series with tons of potential. Check it out!

I think the show is absolutely amazing. The story line is very good and it actually gives a completely different point of view of something that is very common- high school life, and I think this is what makes the show so interesting. The characters are all excellent. The best part about the show is the way each of the characters work on their stories. It promotes journalism! :) It had been advertised a lot here in India so I watched it right from the beginning and I DON'T think the advertising was for nothing. It IS a good show. There are hilarious comic elements and each episode has come out EXCEEDINGLY well. I can hardly wait for the next season to begin. In fact its not only me, but all my friends as well, are major fans of this show.
