Bingewatched these great series

A great effort. Cunning ingenious crafted script, fast paced. though it relies on make-believe contrived stuff to kick the plot ahead. Exciting from beginning to end.

A solid if somewhat melodramatic Spanish thriller

Antonio Santos is a Spanish man who is arrested in Bogota carrying drugs through the airport... he isn't an ordinary drug mule though; he intended to be caught. His five year old adopted daughter, Soledad, was kidnapped thirteen years previously and he has been led to believe that a man who knows something about it is in jail in Bogota. When his ex-wife learns where he is she too flies to Bogota and, with the help of a lawyer starts looking into Soledad's adoption. We also see that Soledad is alive and well living with an actress and her drug lord husband; an incident leads to her questioning her past.

I found this to be an entertaining series; its premise may be a little far-fetched but it works to provide plenty of exciting and dangerous situations; in particular for Antonio in the tinder box environment of the jail. There is a good amount of action in every episode. The characters are fun in a slightly exaggerated way. The cast is solid making the characters believable. The locations are good, especially the jail... I have no idea what real Colombian jails are like but if they are anything like the one depicted here they are scary and dangerous places! Overall I'd recommend this to fans of tense dramas who don't mind melodramatic elements.

These comments are based on watching the series in Spanish with English subtitles.

GOOD WEB SERIES

The second half of this web series was definitely more gripping and interesting than the first half. With better editing the series could have been reduced from 11 episodes to 10.Everything else was good but not great about this show.

Top idea

I hoped the show is good, but the plot amazed me of how the facts and events surpassed my expectations and twisted the story, but here I should stop mentioning more, as it will be a slight spoil. Just expected the unexpected from the kidnapped kid's life and his surrounding.

The acting is just as needed to be, the characters are of multiple kinds, which makes it colorful, the scenes are well filmed. I can't think of anything that should give this show less than 10 stars as for its kind, there isn't a single weak point.

Good

Could have been better if the faith of the daughter was unknown. Messy series with some unbelievable events and superficial characters. But at the end easy to watch with Some nice settings.

For me, one of the best international series on Netflix.

I am an avid follower of Latin American and Spanish cinema, so this combination produced huge dividends. Although the series and films made, produced and directed by Latin Americans tend to carry that "soap opera" style, this series surprised me. Not because I don't have this "cliche", but because the actors make a good effort to get rid of that typical "cliche". The series has a dizzying pace that makes the viewer immerse themselves in the story, plus the soundtrack is very good. Daniel Grao's performances as "Antonio Santos", Pedro Suarez as "Prison Guard Molinos" and Antonio Mora as "Enrique" are far above average. In short, a very good series that touches on a very sensitive subject, but that is still an example of things that happen in real life. For me, one of the best Spanish series on Netflix and if you want to classify it as "Latin American", due to the use of Latino actors, it is in the top 3 after Narcos and Distrito Salvaje.

Rather good Spanish / Latin-American thriller

This thriller series is an intense, fast-paced drama that keeps viewers hooked from start to finish. Centred around Antonio Santos, a father who deliberately gets arrested in Bogotá to find clues about his kidnapped daughter, the plot expertly balances suspense, emotion, and action. While the premise may stretch realism at times, the storytelling remains gripping and emotionally compelling.

What sets this series apart is its strong cast-Daniel Grao delivers a standout performance as Antonio, supported by Pedro Suárez and Antonio Mora in equally impressive roles. The characters are layered and colourful, adding depth to the melodramatic but engaging narrative. The prison scenes are especially tense and well-crafted, giving the show a gritty, immersive atmosphere.

Though some episodes could have benefited from tighter editing, especially in the first half, the second half ramps up the tension and pays off with unexpected twists. The soundtrack enhances the mood perfectly, and the cinematography does justice to the contrasting worlds of urban Colombia and the chaos inside the prison.

For fans of international thrillers like Narcos or Distrito Salvaje, this Series is a must-watch. It is a cleverly written, emotionally driven series that manages to stay exciting.

REALLY GOOD!!

I finished watching the series very quickly, despite being 11 episodes. Lots of action and very exciting moments! That makes time pass very quickly while you are watching it.

I have not scored it a nine because the story becomes somewhat unrealistic, but at the same time it remains very interesting as well.

The actors are exceptional and the story is very detailed and very well edited, so you don't miss the why, when and how.

In short, don't miss it if you like strong emotions and action thrillers.

A dual blend of emotions and action

The Latin American movies have an art of storytelling. This web series is no exception. With excellent a ring. A must see.

Too much background music!

Look I love to watch Colombian film and series but when a director needs to use music in every scene to force the mood you know the script and direction are lacking.

Perdida is watchable and the story is somewhat interesting albeit convoluted like a novela.

Great story. Surprises in every episode.

Good start, but it gets even more interesting and intriguing as you go. Good script, with many twists and surprises that you don't expect. Highly recommended.

Great binge series

Top notch production, even if the story is a littler far fetched. Will keep you hooked to the end, even if it is predictable

Great set up for second series.

Tedious

I found this telenovela to be tedious to watch and the premise idiotic. Seems like an excuse to make a narco trafficking gangster soap opera. Why would a sane man get themself convicted of a serious crime to find the whereabouts of his daughter when he can find out so much more on the outside without the restrictions of prison? Wifey guilted him into this flawed plan? seriously? Does the story have a plot mcguffin to free him from prison for a happy ending at the end? Then there is the defence attorney, a walking VD that makes you want to shower every time she comes on the screen.

I do watch Latin and Spanish films quite a bit, and if you are looking for cinema, this isn't it. This is more like your garden variety telenovela. If you don't like soaps, you might not like this either.

Good at the beginning but another Colombian soap opera at the end

I really liked it at first, but the 3 final episodes just ruined it. It looks like they run out of budget and hired just bad actors to play the cartel and it ended up becoming a cheap Colombian soap opera. What a shame, it was really great at the beginning.

Too much

Too much drama, too many episodes, real tele novela or soap opera. That it is. If you like Spanish or Turkish tele novels, this is for you. If you like some good crime drama, please don't waste your time, like I wasted mine. I guess thare is audience for this staff too, but for me this awful experience. The story could have been put in 4-6 episodes, cut all those long scenes and maybe would be watchable. Big maybe. Except the main character, the acting is awful too. So, a lot minuses. Don't watch it please. I don't write reviews often, but I wanted everybody to know what kind of show this is. The rating that was on IMD miss leaded me.

Full of cliches.

A series full of clichés, terrible performances and a story worthy of a cheap soap opera. The Spanish must stop wanting to do action series, they are not credible.
