This movie isn't really bad, but there are so many inconsistencies :
I give 3 stars because I don't like nonsensical stories.
- it's easy to guess who the killer is, even if you didn't read the book ;
- people keep doing stupid things ;
- people should stay together, but guess ? They're roaming around all alone ;
- the killer couldn't do everything alone as depicted ;
- there are facts that the killer couldn't know ;
- the characters are way too stereotypical...

I don't understand the stupid part of killing a dog in series or movies.
Belive me, this is the only living being we want to survive...
I watched the film because of kbruestle's annihilating comment.
From the 3rd episode I liked the film, although it contains some unnecessary scenes with dying fish.
The characters are played well (could'nt see it in french), the ambient is only a little creepy, the music is present but not annoying and after episode 3 I wanted so see episode 4 and so on.
I do not regret to spend 5 hours viewing.
For me, it's another interpretation of perhaps the best crime novel ever. It's worth looking at.
After so many film and TV adaptations of Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None", if you decide to make one more version then staying faithful to it would be an obvious folly; thankfully, the creators of "Ils Etaint Dix" have massively re-invented the story, while retaining, more or less, its central plot devices. At the same time, they did not employ the parodistic tone of the long-running, and even more liberal, French series "The Little Murders Of Agatha Christie"; the mood here is much more grim and nihilistic. It is only fitting that the woman who practically invented the slasher genre, at least in its literary form, has now her own work adapted in the style of a slasher show, albeit a considerably less bloody and gory one than you might expect from the director of the notorious French torture-porn film "Martyrs". The series boasts lush island scenery, some cracking suspense sequences, compelling flashbaks (each one a mini little whodunit on its own), a rock-solid cast (Manon Azem is fire 🔥 every inch of her is hot) and a perfect running time (6 episodes). Highly recommended, especially if you like shows in the vein of "Le Chalet", "Harper's Island", "I Know What You Did Last Summer", etc. 8/10.
I enjoyed watching this fast-paced and suspenseful murder mystery. The set styling is excellent, kind of a tropical noir. I loved the visuals!
Most of the acting was good. Some of the scenes were too over the top with screaming and fighting. Overall, I was interested to see what would happen next and watched several episodes straight through and then the next day was looking forward to watching more.
Since I haven't read the original book or seen any of the other tv or film adaptations, I wasn't comparing this version to anything else the way most other reviewers were. It is an engaging thriller on its own without trying to make it measure up to a standard of what has been done before.
