Vanessa Hudgens is 5ft 1 (154.9 cm) tall and wears a shoe size 7 (US). In TeenMag, she mentioned that she’s fond of taller guys, jokingly adding that it’s not a challenge given her height of 5’3″ – a slight exaggeration of her actual height.
For comparison, the average height for an American woman is around 5ft 4in (162.5 cm), making Vanessa slightly shorter than the national average. She is 7 inches (17.8 cm) shorter than her former co-star Zac Efron, who is 5ft 8in (172.7 cm) tall.

Two Christmas series are trending on Netflix, and they couldn't be more different. Netflix's library contains a diverse array of Christmas titles. Although their roster includes an ever-shifting array of acquired movies and TV shows that come and go as licensing contracts change, their holiday season offerings for 2024 have included theatrical titles such as A Bad Moms Christmas and Journey to Bethlehem as well as a huge list of Hallmark CHannel movies including Haul Out the Holly, Christmas with a Kiss, Christmas in Notting Hill, A Biltmore Christmas, and A Merry Scottish Christmas.
However, since the late 2010s, they have also built out a huge roster of Netflix original Christmas movies, many of which take place in an interconnected universe. This includes the Princess Switch and A Christmas Prince trilogies, A Castle for Christmas, and The Knight Before Christmas. However, they also have many other holiday-themed offerings including holiday versions...

Christmas is almost here, which means lots of hot cocoa, frenzied shopping and wrapping gifts. The one that started it all — “A Christmas Prince” was Netflix’s first foray into the Christmas Romance genre, and the 2017 film was such a hit, it essentially put the streamer on the map as a new go-to destination in the market previously dominated by Lifetime and Hallmark. Ever-charming “Ghosts” and “iZombie” star Rose McIver stars as Amber, an ambitious journalist who infiltrates the Aldovian Royalty under the guise of tutoring young Princess Emily (Honor Kneafsey...

No one goes into a Netflix Christmas rom-com and expects to have their world shattered by the sheer magnitude of artistic integrity that is laid out before them. These are usually cheap, superficial, and stiffly-written tales of middle-class white people getting swoony in a small, snowy town. Still, that doesnt mean you cant derive any enjoyment out of them. Vanessa Hudgens has become a face of yuletide romance for the streamer, and while her fantastical twist, The Knight Before Christmas, is as American cheese as you can get, the odd romance between her small-town teacher and a 14th-century British knight is worth the cringe. Another poster girl for this section of Netflixs catalog is Lindsay Lohan. When it was first announced that the star would headline 2022s Falling for Christmas, it was met with widespread excitement, less for the plot or finished project but because Lohan was staging something of a comeback.

Netflix's latest holiday offering, Our Little Secret, is something of a step back from the streamer's efforts to go slightly spicier with their rom-com content this season following the shirtless-man-forward releases Hot Frosty and The Merry Gentlemen. The new movie which follows exes Avery (Lindsay Lohan) and Logan (Ian Harding) as they pretend not to know each other over Christmas when they realize their respective partners are siblings is a profoundly middle-of-the-road family comedy, minimally edgier than the average Hallmark Christmas movie but without enough texture to rub anybody the wrong way.
Our Little Secret is a holiday drama in which two resentful exes find themselves spending Christmas together after discovering that their current partners are siblings. The film explores themes of reconciliation and the complexities of family dynamics during the festive season.

The new Netflix Christmas movie featuring one of the stars of the original Mean Girls has debuted with a strong Rotten Tomatoes score. At the time of writing, the streaming service has a wide variety of holiday movies available, including a robust slate of Christmas titles. Netflix's Hot Frosty has effectively been branded as part of the opening salvo of a return to form for the streamer's traditionally robust Christmas movie slate, as their platter of holiday offerings in 2023 was empty of major high-concept releases. With the new movie being followed by the Chad Michael Murray-led The Merriest Gentlemen, about a young woman saving her family's venue by putting on a Christmas show featuring male exotic dancers, it has been the streamer's implicit promise that not only are the holidays at Netflix back, they are spicier than ever.

Netflix is getting into the Christmas spirit. The streaming platform is expanding its holiday content with new Hallmark holiday movies. The media giants are joining forces to make your holidays bright.

Hallmark continues to be the home for holiday movies. As many as 50 movies are set to premiere on the Hallmark Channel in 2024 alone. New shows will also be available on the Hallmark Mystery and its new streaming platform, Hallmark+.
Finding Hallmark’s movie might be more difficult if you don’t have a cable subscription. Some of those movies might leave Peacock. However, new movies can be watched live and on-demand three days after their release.
On November 1, Netflix welcomed new Hallmark holiday films such as A Bitmore Christmas, Christmas on Cherry Lane, A Heidelberg Holiday, Miracle in Bethlehem, and A Merry Scottish Christmas. You can read the entire list via Showbiz CheatSheet.

Negative reviews led to a dismal 22% Rotten Tomatoes score for Mother of the Bride. This score is disappointing compared to her well-reviewed 2021 Netflix movie A Castle for Christmas. A Castle for Christmas earned a 75% score largely due to the chemistry between Shields and her co-star Cary Elwes.
Mother of the Bride has been a critical disappointment compared to Brooke Shields' rom-com success from three years ago. The new Netflix original movie, which also stars Miranda Cosgrove, Sean Teale, Chad Michael Murray, Rachael Harris, and Benjamin Bratt, was written by Robin Bernheim, who has previously collaborated with Netflix on the Princess Switch trilogy and A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding. It was directed by Mark Waters, whose most prominent credits include the 2000s teen classics Mean Girls and Freaky Friday.

This could be the start of a long-awaited reveal. Goldfish returns to The Masked Singer on Wednesday (Fox, 8/7c) for the Group A finals, but we’ve already heard enough — we know exactly who she is.
Frankly, we had this one pegged from the moment she started singing in the Season 11 premiere, and we’ve even more confident hearing her clues. So listen up, Wildcats, we’re calling it now: Goldfish is none other than Vanessa Hudgens.

Canada, the home of winter, looks to have no shortage of snowy inns set against fairytale-like landscapes with piles and piles of the white, fluffy stuff.
That’s because Hallmark, long a major producer of Christmas TV movies, shoots a lot of holiday flicks in Canada, even if the plotlines are set south of the border. So do a lot of other U.S. producers for whom British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario offer real snow, iconic mountains and other varied wintry locations to keep American producers in furry parkas coming north with their cameras and Hollywood stars.
In fact, there’s more to budget-friendly production tricks than fake snow on these TV movie shoots, as humble Canada stands in small-town America strung with colorful lights. Shooting north of the border allows producers to tap generous tax breaks and currency savings, seasoned local actors and crews and ample studios and costume...

If you grew up in the 90s/2000s, there’s a very small chance you’ve heard of High School Musical. Over the years of watching Disney Channel, how many times did you turn on the TV and hear “We’re all in this together!” or the famous song, "Gotta Go My Own Way." Dubbed a multi-billion-dollar success (per Variety), with a legacy that continues on many years after its initial, humble release on Disney Channel, the High School Musical franchise won big. The franchise consists of High School Musical, High School Musical 2, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.
The series is so popular that, back in 2019, they released a TV show spinoff titled High School Musical: The Musical: The Series which, as of August 2023, is on four seasons and counting. Originally, the movie followed Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), a basketball team captain auditioning for...

Though you’ll undoubtedly forget many times while you’re watching it, Prime Video’s music drama Daisy Jones & The Six is not based on a true story. At least, not really. Adapted from Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel of the same name, this series about the titular band was inspired by the real life drama of classic ’70s rock group Fleetwood Mac.
While Fleetwood Mac is very much real (and great!), Daisy Jones & The Six is not real (though also great!). Still, that does not make the Behind the Music-esque drama they experience in these 10 episodes feel any less real. Contributing to that sense of verisimilitude is that the cast of Daisy Jones & The Six all fit their roles to a tee.
Aside from the series two eminently recognizable leads (and a bit of Raylan Givens thrown in there for good measure), this series enjoys the...

Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive first look at the trailer for Followers, which premieres through digital platforms on March 24. Produced by much of the team behind 2017's underdog hit Anna and the Apocalypse, the new film follows in the footsteps of socially-conscious horror projects like Get Out and Black Mirror. After a silly prank aimed at YouTube fame spirals out of control, an influencer and his roommates must warn the world about a supernatural serial killer.
Followers, which is the last film directed by the late Marcus Harben, combines the tropes of the found-footage horror story popularized by The Blair Witch Project and injects the hip comedic tone of a teen drama. It comes as no surprise that many of the minds behind Anna and the Apocalypse worked on Followers, for the humorous beats land perfectly based on the trailer.

Christmas is quickly approaching, with Netflix having released its yearly selection of original festive romantic comedies.
Over the last few years we’ve seen the streaming service take inspiration from the likes of Hallmark and Lifetime to produce cookie-cutter Christmas romcoms guaranteed to numb your mind like one too many mulled wines.
Revolutionary these films are not, but boy, do they hit the spot during the festive season. With titles like The Princess Switch, The Knight Before Christmas and A Castle for Christmas on offer, audiences have learnt that no plot is too ludicrous for a Netflix Christmas romcom. The more time travel, magic, döppelgangers and fictional European royalty on offer, the better.
With that in mind, I’m taking a look at Netflix’s in-house Christmas romcoms and ranking them based on just how ridiculous they are. This list has also been updated for 2022, which means this is the...

Netflix is giving Hallmark a run for their money with a ton of cute original Christmas movies, but did you know they're all connected? That's right - Netflix is getting in on the connected-universes craze with their very own Netflix Christmas movie shared universe! Here's exactly how all of your favorites fit together.
There are two different overarching ways that these movies are connected: on-screen cameos and full-fledged name-dropping. The former category is how it all began. In the 2018 movie The Holiday Calendar, the creative team needed to show a movie playing on a screen within the movie itself. "It felt like a natural fit to show one of our other films available on Netflix," said Amanda Phillips Atkins, EVP at production company Mpca. As a result, a scene from 2017's The Christmas Inheritance pops up on a TV. The Christmas Inheritance also shows up on a TV in The Princess Switch,...

This week, Netflix confirmed the long-held fan theory that there’s in fact a Christmas Cinematic Universe exclusively on the streaming service, connecting A Christmas Prince, The Princess Switch, The Holiday Calendar, The Knight Before Christmas, Christmas Inheritance and Holiday in the Wild. No offense to any of the cast and crew members who no doubt worked very hard on all of those respective titles, but for the most part, they’re absolute garbage.
Instead, the brightest jewel in Netflix’s festive crown is without a doubt The Christmas Chronicles, starring Kurt Russell as possibly the most twinkly-eyed Santa Claus that’s ever been seen in live-action. The first movie was viewed over 20 million times in a week when it arrived two years ago, and the recently released sequel is poised to do even better and play like gangbusters over the holiday season.

(Warning: Spoilers ahead for “The Princess Switch: Switched Again.”)
Netflix is continuing what has now become an annual tradition of connecting its original Christmas movies with a special cameo featuring two key “A Christmas Prince” characters at the end of its Vanessa Hudgens-led “The Princess Switch” sequel.
In “The Princess Switch: Switched Again,” which launched Thursday, Duchess Margaret (Hudgens) is crowned queen of Montenaro, with many adoring friends and subjects in attendance, including her new husband, Kevin (Nick Sagar), her look-alike Stacy, a Chicago baker-turned-Belgravian princess who is also played by Hudgens, Stacy’s husband, Prince Edward (Sam Palladio), and her other look-alike, her scheming cousin Fiona.
But if you are paying attention to the other people in the crowd, you’ll notice three foreign royals cheering on Margaret in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment: Aldovia’s Queen Amber (Rose McIver), King Richard (Ben Lamb) and their new baby, Princess Elleri.

Netflix's wide berth of holiday movies are fanciful worlds in their own right, but the best part about the streamer's original films is the way they keep managing to connect to one another. We've broken down the overarching ways nine films are connected, but as each world grows bigger, those connections get more in-depth.
In a few films there are a handful of references that imply some of these movies exist fully in the same universe, namely in The Knight Before Christmas, A Christmas Prince, and The Princess Switch. It starts off with a line in The Knight Before Christmas, with one character mentioning Aldovia to her daughter, the kingdom in A Christmas Prince. Then a map in A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby shows Belgravia as the neighbor to Aldovia, which brings in The Princess Switch. And then finally, The Princess Switch: Switched Again brings it all together...

“The Princess Switch” fans will be seeing triple when the Netflix original holiday film’s sequel launches Thursday. But that’s as far as the franchise will be going with its gimmick of having star Vanessa Hudgens play multiple characters, even though a third film has already been greenlit by the streaming service.
“No, no, that’s just too outrageous. We’re already at max outrageous here with three characters, we’re just going to keep it at that,” Hudgens told TheWrap, speaking about plans for “The Princess Switch 3,” which will begin production in Scotland later this year for a holiday 2021 release. “And I would 100% lose my mind if I tried to add another me, even though it would probably be Scottish [and] I love that accent and it would be a great excuse to master the Scottish accent. But no, that’s not happening.”

Vanessa Hudgens is a triple threat in the new trailer for Netflix’s “The Princess Switch 2: Switched Again,” set to premiere on Nov. 19.
In “The Princess Switch” sequel, Hudgens will not only reprise her lead roles of Duchess Margaret and Princess Stacy, but also portray a third doppelganger, Margaret’s cousin Fiona. When Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro, she also finds trouble in her long-distance relationship with her boyfriend, Kevin. Princess Stacy of Belgravia comes to the rescue, stepping in to help save the Duchess’ relationship.
“After I read it I thought, ‘Ooh man, this is going to be a lot of work,'” Hudgens told Entertainment Weekly. “Three of me? Me, myself, and I! I was very excited to create yet another character and had such a blast doing so. I was told they wrote in a new character but I had no idea how much fun it would actually be.

The trailer for the sequel to Netflix's The Princess Switch, The Princess Switch: Switched Again, is here. It was only a matter of time before we got the very cheerful, season-appropriate trailer, which stars Vanessa Hudgens, after new images from the movie were released back in October. Hudgens has been making a killing in the Netflix holiday movie department so far, starring in the first Princess Switch movie in 2018 and The Knight Before Christmas in 2019. Hallmark and Lifetime may be the longtime players in the TV holiday movie game, but relative newbie Netflix has a festive boast to make about its own Christmas content: “Around half” of Netflix subscribers “watched at least one” of the streaming service’s original holiday films during the 2019 holiday season and Netflix’s holiday titles are streamed in all 190 countries where the platform is available, a spokesperson for the streaming service tells TheWrap.
For context, Netflix said it had reached 167 million subscribers globally at the end of 2019, so this stat would apply to almost 50% of those accounts. Reminder: Netflix counts a “view” as when someone watches a selected title for at least two minutes.
Netflix doesn’t have nearly as many original holiday movies under its belt as Hallmark or Lifetime but its library is growing each year, and it’s already known for a few “franchises,” like its beloved “A Christmas Prince” trilogy.

1. “The Crown”
Why Should I Watch? Hoo boy, where to start? “The Crown” remains one of television’s most consistent awards contenders, as well as one of Netflix’s most striking accomplishments of the prestige TV era. Magnificent craft work and commanding performances come together each and every season to earn your attention, even if you’re not a costumes junkie or Royals devotee. Season 4 adds an additional point of intrigue with Gillian Anderson joining the cast as Margaret Thatcher, the U.K. Prime Minister from 1979 – 1990 who respectfully spars with Queen Elizabeth, probably over tea during their weekly meetings. Always meticulous and often affecting, “The Crown” Season 4 is set to be another regal experience like no other — no other you can have at home, at least.
Bonus Reason: But wait, there’s more! With Season 4 moving into the ’80s that means it’s time to introduce Diana Spencer — the future Princess of Wales,...

Netflix has revealed a trailer for its latest rom-com, Holidate. As the name implies, this is a romantic comedy taking place during the holidays, with Emma Roberts leading the way. John Whitesell is in the director's chair. Based on the teaser, this looks like a classic case of friends becoming more than friends, albeit through unusual circumstances brought on by a mutually beneficial arrangement.
The trailer opens up with Emma Roberts as Sloane, working from home before being interrupted by her loving mother, who is attempting to set her up with a doctor. She is single around the holidays, which is quite the issue with her family. A friend of hers, played by Luke Bracey, is also single and they hatch a plan to be one another's "holidate," strictly to get them through the holidays with their respective families. Despite Sloane's reluctance and skepticism, they opt to press on with the plan.

Netflix has unveiled its most popular titles internationally with true-crime doc The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann topping the UK list and Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston comedy Murder Mystery leading in Australia.
In India, Bollywood romantic drama Kabir Singh was the most popular release, while the second season of gritty Indian crime drama, Sacred Games, topped the series list. There are also lists for France and Germany (below).
The streamer hasn’t officially revealed the methodology, but the list is thought to have been based on the number of accounts in each country that have watched at least two minutes of a title during its first 28 days on Netflix this year. For series, only the most popular season is counted and for shows and movies that have been released recently, the rankings are based on 28-day projections derived from the initial sampling.

One of this year's holiday films on Netflix stars High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens and Poldark's Josh Whitehouse. The Knight Before Christmas is the enchanting tale about love conquering all — including different timezones. When a knight from the 14th century finds himself in modern-day America, a teacher named Brooke helps him land on his feet.

As with most holiday films, these two fall for one another while learning about each other's lives. And while the charming film has been a hit with viewers, there were a few behind-the-scenes flubs that occurred while filming that viewers didn't notice until now.

Get ready, everyone: Netflix's The Knight Before Christmas might have a sequel on the way. The latest holiday rom-com from Netflix features Vanessa Hudgens as Brooke, a modern-day science teacher who meets Sir Cole (Josh Whitehouse), a medieval knight who has been magically sent to the future. Of course, magic and romance ensue, and as it turns out, there are already ideas in motion for what could come in a sequel.
Director Monika Mitchell revealed her idea for a The Knight Before Christmas sequel to Glamour - and it's probably not quite what you'd think. While the natural progression for a sequel might see more of Cole's adaptation to the modern world, or perhaps cast Brooke back in time for a reversal of the original, Mitchell suggests that a different focus might be ahead:
"Of course I can see a sequel. I think Harry Jarvis is definitely involved because...

When Hallmark Channel contacted American Cinema Intl. president Chevonne O’Shaughnessy about producing a movie set in the Amish community, she immediately sent an outline for one. Aci had already produced three Amish-themed movies for other outlets, so she figured she’d quickly be brought on board.
But O’Shaughnessy says Hallmark didn’t call her back. And she couldn’t figure out why — but then started watching the channel. After going on a Hallmark movie binge, “all of a sudden it hit me,” she says. “I didn’t have a dog. So I added a dog. And I got a call back. It was that simple.”
The TV movie business is a fickle one, even in this era of Peak TV and new streaming services. The independent producers behind made-for-tv films must navigate tiny budgets, narrow audiences with specific tastes, outlets that want to own those titles and just a...

Netflix is stealing Thanksgiving’s thunder this week by filling you with the Christmas spirit a little early with Thursday’s debut of the new Dennis Quaid-led holiday series, “Merry Happy Whatever.” Yes, you read that right, a Christmas TV series.
While the streaming service has moved into the holiday movie genre over the last few years with its “A Christmas Prince” franchise and films like “The Knight Before Christmas” “Holiday in the Wild,” they’ve never done a scripted holiday-themed show before. (Competition series like “Nailed It! Holiday” and “The Great British Baking Show: Holidays” don’t count here.)
So why did creator Tucker Cawley decide to write a Christmas series and not add to the growing list of Christmas films Netflix has to offer?

So much for making the yuletide gay. Hallmark Channel is rolling out a total of 40 original holiday-themed movies across Hallmark and its sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries — not one of which features an Lgbtq character taking center stage.
And Lifetime, the network’s closest competitor in the made-for-tv holiday movie space, has a similarly poor track record: Out of 30 new original Christmas movies, none feature primary storylines about Lgbtq couples.
Lgbtq characters have appeared in Hallmark and Lifetime movies past and present — this year, Lifetime has four movies which feature queer relationships in supporting positions — but none have carried a holiday movie of their own as the co-owners of a candy cane company or lovers in Dollywood or whatever the premise may be.
