When decorating the Christmas tree, Madison mentions that her parents got the acorn ornament while on a trip to Aldovia. This is a reference to A Christmas Prince (2017), another Netflix Christmas movie.
When Brooke turns on the TV, The Holiday Calendar (2018) plays on the screen, and then Sir Cole watches Un safari pour Noël (2019). Both are Netflix originals.
Some scenes were filmed in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada. The name of the town was kept as the setting in the film, though in Ohio, United States instead. The emergency room scene was filmed at the local hospital and Brooke hits Sir Cole with her car on Main Street.
Sir Cole first says that he was knighted six Christmases ago, and later he claims he was 21 years old when knighted. That would make him 27 in the movie. Twenty-one years old is not an uncommon age to be knighted if the person indeed started out as a squire and proved his worth in battle.
