Very intriguing clot. The parallel, story is good too. Totally unexpected. Vivek's acting is good too. Cinematography sucks like hell. Others acting too, not worth watching.

A different plot in a crime thriller, movie has 2 stories which is neatly merged without separating them, this is a new approach. Bit of over acting from Vivek and Charlie is boring at times and rest of the cast is just average. A good BGM and better screenplay and editing would have made this movie a super good thriller but it turned out to a average one.

You may feel a bit dragged in the beginning but the movie picks up pace in the 2nd half leading to unexpected climax
This could have been a very good film. Unfortunately, amateurish direction, poor acting (barring Vivek and the little girl) and shoddy editing especially in the initial parts drags this movie down a couple of notches. Also, while the screenplay tries to be clever and does a decent job in parts, you still can poke a lot of holes.
Cinematography works in parts - however, the over dependence on drones and excessive color grading make it look like a slick YouTube video; not a professional Cinema! A few other reviewers have rated the cinematography pretty high. Without sounding cocky, I would like to point out that cinematography is not only about capturing the beauty of the locations. Ofcourse, Seattle and the Pacific Northwest is extremely beautiful and it looks lovely on screen. However, cinematography is about being true to the emotions of the script and the vision of the director. It is about choosing when to go close-up, when to go long, when to pan, when to follow; what lens to choose, what angle to shoot...I can go on. It's here that the cinematography fails to justify the script.
All said, full marks to the creative team to come up with an out-of-the-ordinary plot and executing a decent movie around the storyline. I would recommend this as a decently good one-time watch and much better than the mindless formula based commercial hits.

Not just a usual crime thriller, the movie got a solid history that every thriller subject should have. I wasn't stared watching curiously, but the perfect ruler script got me into its loop. So standard till the end at some scenes i realized so much things haven't been copied from Hollywood and writer really digged well with the pen.
So surprised and honour to have a decent, peculiar film in Tamil cinema industry. The Cast indians+ westerners they nailed it

The film has lofty ambitions and tries hard, but fails desperately.
Its a damn good attempt though.
The setting of the backgrounds was excellent. The tempo and the continuity of the story and certain explanations were up to good standards, but the film was lacking in attention to detail in the hurting scenes that they were simply pathetic.
The climax was absolutely lame, and did not make any sense in how the strong villain character just becomes a weakling with the appearance of the hero. They probably expected the revealing of the mystery to be a surprise, but it turned out to be quite predictable.
Though the film attempted to be non-sexist and non-racist at times, it did have some very close minded undertones.

This movie has the most essential features for a thriller.
1. Top down cinematography inline with the lead 's character
2. Parallel unfolding
3. A father/cop who's different from normal ppl
4. Unexpected twist and concealed motive
It's more than enough for a thriller.
I agree actors are new and director is new but still its a good thriller

1) the movie drags a lot before the intervel could reduced the run time
2) the director over exaggerates some potions
3)casting problems
4)background music lacks intensity

The story was extraordinary and had a bunch of small brilliant moments. It was a daring attempt to cast Vivek as most audience could not have related him to a serious role. It could have been a made a masterclass status if not for subpar acting and seemingly visible editing flaws. It lacked a flow from beginning till the climax but the climax made up for all the mistakes made. The ending was a bit abrupt and didn't tell what would have happened to the characters after the incident.

This is really a pretty good movie with a nice twist at the end...there is really no reason to give it a low rating...most aspects of the movie are really decent...yes the acting of the non-Indian actors could have been better, but that can easily be overlooked...

Since past couple of years Tamil cinema has produced some worth watching crime Thriller's like D16,Ratchasan,Managaram,8 thottakal and vellai pokkal easily falls in same category...
Vikek is prominently known as comedy actor but here perfectly nails as High functioning retired cop.
Apart from cast performance and technical aspects (camera work,Bgm) writing is so good (Writers Try their best to avoid usual Tamil cinema cliché ness) Even first act is much about father- son relationship drama, after that film picks up it's pace and turns into a interesting investigate Thriller...
Non - Linear narrative is another highlight of this film.actual events happens in two different timelines,it makes Screenplay less predictable too...

The story and plot was really good! Was always engaged and wondering what's going to happen next.
Vivek's acting was spot on as always. Such a good natural fit. Would have never believed he was a hard core comedian. The opening scenes were truly chill inducing and had such a shock inducing effect.
All the Indian actors have done a great job. The American actors for some reason didn't look very convincing. I maybe a little biased though as an Indian but felt like the American actors were new🤔
The cinematography was also pretty good. Will probably have to go visit those places..
