    Intense sadness nostalgia

I only have extremely vague memories of this show but the strongest one involved my crying myself to sleep together with the younger brother. This show is one of my core memories despite me not understanding a single word of it since I watched it on spacetoons anywhere from when I was between 6-9 years old and it scarred me so much that even thinking about it now as a 22 year old male sends me into a small bout of depression.

Maybe it wasn't as intense as I remember, but the memories of Minoru's? Crying will never not cease to break my emotions. I do not have the heart to properly watch it now but I'm sure it must have been good.

I give it a 10 for scarring kid me for life, a babies tears and cries for it's mother transcends language barriers.

so many memories with this amazing anime

"Aka-chan to Boku" is a delightful anime that left me utterly captivated with its endearing story of family bonds and personal growth. The acting in this series is nothing short of exceptional, as the voice actors skillfully breathe life into their characters, evoking genuine emotions that resonate with the audience. The film editing is smooth and well-paced, ensuring that every moment feels purposeful and engaging. The show's strength lies in its heartwarming narrative, which explores the challenges and joys of parenthood and sibling relationships. However, there are moments when the pacing feels a tad slow, which could be considered a minor weakness. The music complements the story beautifully, enhancing the emotional depth of each scene. "Aka-chan to Boku" delivers a powerful message about the importance of family, resilience, and the power of love. The cinematography captures both the mundane and magical moments of everyday life with finesse, making it a visual treat. Overall, with a rating of 8/10, "Aka-chan to Boku" is a must-watch for anyone seeking a heartwarming anime experience that will leave you with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart.

An Anime Version of Mutiara Cinta

This anime has a decent style, good dialog, and of course, very emotional. This was suitable with the song by Pitta Loppies from the girl group Moluccas, "Pearls of Love".

    Brothery love

This is an early to mid 90s anime tv show which has won awards for its story. I watched this in Arabic and then in Japanese and both audios were brilliant. The character development was incredible and very touching between the brothers and their father. It begins by introducing the small family who've recently lost their mother/wife. Some scenes makes one tearful as it really depicts the grief from each family member including the baby. But especially the 10 year-old boy who matures throughout the story to become an independent self confident reliable individual. This show is very underrated and deserves more attention. It's short, only 33 episodes or so but definitely worth a watch.
