Dedicated to all the people who don't know what they're doing but do it anyway

This is one of the first times I've been exposed to this Aussie duo. The entire 90 minutes is them on stage, performing physical and verbal comedy, including doing voices and sound FX. Oh, and there is some aid of lighting and music. Even if you don't find it funny, you gotta admire their vocal range, the shape they're in and the amount of rehearsal that had to go into this. The jokes are silly, goofy(at times downright childish, though to be fair, they seem quite aware of this), creative, a tad meta here and there, based on pop culture(with accurate impersonations) and absurd(...not all at once). A couple of bits go on for too long, and/or are too repetitive... for example, they fake-argue with each other a lot, and in the first half hour, there are two or three humorous mentions of the imaginary props they're using. On the other hand, a few things are underused. With that said, they get a ton out of rather little in the way of visible means. They go to "other places", and "meet" famous, iconic characters. The fast pace that this mostly maintains keeps it from overstaying its welcome. Hardly anything falls flat, and at their best, the 2 are hysterical, and clearly immensely talented. There is occasional "violence", disturbing content, sexuality(a bunch of it will go over kids' heads) and moderate language in this. The DVD is a real treat; the "Brothers" recorded many menus, and it holds an actors commentary track(which is hilarious, has several facts, and references the running gags in the show) and other laugh-garnering features, such as outtakes, MTV stuff, an Unnecessary Music Video, etc... it totals at about 43 minutes(though the cover claims it's 61). I recommend this to any fan of the Umbilicals, or anyone who thinks they might like this. 8/10
