The voices for this film were originally recorded in English and then dubbed into Spanish after animation. Although the Spanish version did well in Spain's theaters, the original English version was never released in theaters and went straight to DVD, both in Spain and in the USA.
The song "Space Between Bodies", part of which we hear at the beginning of the film over the truck's radio, is sung by Lúa Ríos, the lead singer of We Are Balboa, who is also the sensual voice of Lynxette in the original English version of the film.
The animals featured in the film are all indigenous to Andalusia, as are the plants, which are faithfully rendered. Likewise, Bolonia Beach is a real location in Cádiz Province and the site where the ruins of the ancient Roman city called Baelo Claudia are found.
