Boom Man has everything you'd expect in a short film and much much more. There is romance, drama, action, and comedy, all mixed into the role of Alex, played by the awesomely funny Jim O'Brien. Alex is a writer who has a few problems that he needs to over come to cure his writer's block, one being his affinity for cats. I have been a fan of Jim's stand-up and hilarious songs for years. Finally someone starred him in a movie and, in my opinion, it was a smart move. Steven Wright has definitely out done himself here, and I can't wait to see the two of them team up again, for not only a short, but maybe even a full-length feature film. All I can say is that I hope these guys keep it up!!!!

I was an extra in the diner scene, me and a previous music group were visiting the days inn to audition for a Debbie Allen show, the next morning after we arrived they were filming downstairs in the diner when we approached to get breakfast. They asked us immediately to be extras and we agreed. I love this movie, one of the indies present during the real Hollywood days!
