A good political entertainer

The story revolves around a father son duo . Father being a position greedy politician while the son working tirelessly for the welfare of the people . Director Joshi is well know for churning out good family entertainers. This being one of them . Somewhere in the middle we feel that the story sags a bit . Songs find entry at unnecessary junctures. But the director does well in bringing out the father son competition in the best possible way. Even further the comedy and punch dialoges are quite well timed. On the whole a good suggestion for malayalies who wish to watch a entertainer with the whole family .The lead roles were done justice by dileep and kavya but the support cast could have been better.

Lion (2006): A Thrilling Blend of Politics, Humor, and Stellar Performances

Lion (2006) is a standout Malayalam political thriller that keeps its audience engrossed with an engaging narrative, stellar performances, and a fine blend of drama and humor. Directed by Joshiy, the movie features Dileep in one of his career-best roles, supported by a talented ensemble cast.

Dileep delivers a charismatic performance, bringing depth and energy to his character. His on-screen chemistry with Kavya Madhavan is a highlight, adding emotional layers to the otherwise intense storyline. The film's script, written by Udayakrishna and Siby K. Thomas, keeps the audience hooked with its smart twists and turns, making it a highly engaging watch.

A standout element of the film is Jagathy Sreekumar's impeccable counter-comedy. His witty one-liners and comic timing provide much-needed relief amidst the political tension, elevating the movie's entertainment quotient. His interactions with other characters are laugh-out-loud moments that leave a lasting impression.

The film also features a catchy soundtrack, though the placement of songs feels slightly out of place, occasionally interrupting the flow of the narrative. Despite this, the movie maintains its grip on the audience, thanks to its compelling story and performances.

Overall, It's a well-crafted political thriller that balances intensity and humor beautifully. With Dileep's powerful performance, Jagathy's hilarious comedy, and a solid script, it stands tall as one of the best films of its time..

Dope Dileep's Best Political Thriller

This is Dileep's best political thriller film. The name Krishnakumar suits him splendidly. Dope Dileep as Krishnakumar Menon should've definitely won him a Best Actor award. Of all the Dileep thrillers out there, this is the best one of all. I also love Jagathy's and Cochin Haneefa's comedic roles also. I love the action scenes involving Dileep as they're fire. Balaganadharan was a lousy father to Krishnakumar as he hardly showed any love to his son. The Dileep/Kavya combo is absolutely stunning. I sure wish there were more fight scenes involving Dileep. I would've loved to see Dileep fight Shammi Thilakan. Like I said, this is the best Dileep political thriller ever.
