“Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie” is rounding out its cast with all stars. Jameela Jamil, Terry Crews, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Bill Nye and Meredith MacNeill have been added to the third feature film alongside franchise veteran Ron Pardo.

The movie will release theatrically on July 31, 2026, and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures worldwide, excluding Canada where Elevation Pictures distributes.

This isn’t the first time these stars have appeared in children’s projects. Jamil, who is likely best known for her work on “The Good Place,” appeared in “Princess Power” and “Big City Greens.” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Terry Crews has appeared in “Craig of the Creek,” and Hilton has starred in “Rainbow High.” As for Snoop Dogg, in addition to appearing in “The Garfield Movie,” the rapper is behind “Doggyland,” a YouTube animated series that puts a hip-hop spin on classic nursery rhymes. Created by Julius Sharpe (Family Guy), Making History is decidedly more Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure than Primer. It centers on Dan (Adam Pally), a lowly, average guy who spends his work days in a janitorial position in a local college and his weekends (and occasional Tuesdays) traveling back to 1775, via a duffel bag time-traveler, to meet his Colonel girlfriend, Deborah (Leighton Meester). Inherited from his late father, Dan is unambitious but certainly not malicious with his gift.

I’m of the firm belief that films work most effectively when their runtime is 90 minutes or less. It forces an economy of story and dialogue which propels the film into its best self. No bloated middle, extended ending, or wasted stories here. This goes double for comedies. They should never outstay their welcome. But they seem to be getting longer, as we recently pointed out here.

E4 presents Tripped, a new sci-fi comedy starring Blake Harrison, aka Neil from The Inbetweeners. Here's the first trailer...

Here's one that has our attention. Tripped sees Blake Harrison (Neil from The Inbetweeners, soon to star in the Dad's Army reboot) and George Webster (City Of Dreamers, My Name Is Emily) embroiled in a fantasy quest involving umpteen parallel universes. 

E4's new sci-fi comedy series started life as Alt, a pilot by Mr Jamie Mathieson - the writer of two of the best Doctor Who episodes from series 8 (Flatline and Mummy On The Orient Express), as well as feature film Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel. It starred Craig Roberts and Gethin Anthony in that incarnation. 

Now The Missing's Harry and Jack Williams are the ones behind the scripts, with Jamie Magnus Stone directing.

A bit more news has come to light about Doctor Who series 8, with the reveal of who's written another one of the episodes of the upcoming run. And, it's been revealed, it's Jamie Mathieson.

Mathieson, who is already down for episode eight of Peter Capaldi's maiden series in the Tardis, has also penned the ninth episode as well we now hear. To the best of our knowledge, though, it's not a two-part story that he's written. Don't be surprised if we're proved wrong, though.

Mathieson, who has previously written episodes of Being Human and Dirk Gently, is making his Doctor Who debut with his two adventures. He also wrote the movie Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel.

Doctor Who has appointed two new writers for the upcoming eighth series.

Wallander writer Peter Harness and Being Human scribe Jamie Mathieson have both confirmed their involvement on Twitter.

Harness has previously written scripts for Channel 4's City of Vice, BBC One's Case Histories and Michael Caine movie Is Anybody There?.

Mathieson is best known for writing the 2009 comedy Faq About Time Travel, while he has also written episodes of Being Human and Dirk Gently.

Steven Moffat will write two episodes of Peter Capaldi's first series as The Doctor, while there will also be episodes by Mark Gatiss, Phil Ford, Stephen Thompson and Gareth Roberts.

Doctor Who series 8 adds two writers who've never written for the show before...

The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine is landing with subscribers around about now, and as usual, it comes with news about the now-shooting Doctor Who series 8. In particular, two more writers - both new to Doctor Who - have been confirmed as writing episodes for the new series.

First up is Peter Harness. He's previously worked on Frankie Howerd: Rather You Than Me and Case Histories. You can find him on Twitter here as well.

And then Jamie Mathieson, who penned the film Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel is also on board. He's on Twitter here. Both seem to have an episode each, although no details of their exact stories have been revealed.

E4 have announced details of their new drama pilot Alt.

The 60-minute pilot - written by Jamie Mathieson (Being Human, Faq About Time Travel) - enters production this month, and will be directed by Ben Caron (My Mad Fat Diary).

Alt stars Gethin Anthony (Game of Thrones) as 24-year-old Danny, who finds himself transported to a parallel universe with his ex-best friend Milo, played by Craig Roberts (Submarine).

The full synopsis for the new drama reads: "Imagine: that mate you dumped months ago because he's a tool, rings you out of the blue and asks for help. You go round and he's tripping. Banging on about parallel worlds and killers with swords and you're not really listening to be honest.

"And the next thing you know the world's changed. Literally changed. Your girlfriend, who was kind of the love of your life, no longer even recognises you. Dead relatives are suddenly alive again.

Gareth Carrivick’s ‘Faq About Time Travel’ has a terrific opening scene: An armada of spaceships is closing in on a big blue planet. Inside one of the ships, a British star-trooper is informing his crew of time raiders that they will go back to a point prior to their enemies’ evolution and wipe them out.

He’s salty and irritated and when he begins swearing, there’s the sound of children crying on the soundtrack. This ‘commander’ is Ray (Chris O’Dowd), a blue-collar worker at a children’s amusement park who is having a meltdown in the time-travel ride.

After Ray traumatizes a boatload of adolescents and loses his job, he and his buddies, Toby & Pete (they work in the park too as big plush dinosaurs) head out to the local pub to drown out their troubles and swap geek anecdotes while trying to hit upon that one...

Looks like the cast is coming together for Robert Zemeckis' next project, which of course, will be yet another 3-D performance capture film along the lines of Beowulf and A Christmas Carol. It was announced last summer [1] that Zemeckis would be remaking the classic animated Beatles film Yellow Submarine, and now he has four actors in mind to play the Fab Four on screen. Anyone who knows comedian Peter Serafinowicz' work knows he can do a killer Paul McCartney impression. And now he'll get the chance to show the world - though the medium of performance capture, at least - in Robert Zemeckis' remake of cartoon Beatles musical Yellow Submarine.  Zemeckis has plumped for a surprisingly eclectic bunch of performers to play the band members in his new film - Dean Lennox Kelly, of Shameless and (more recently) Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, is John Lennon, Cary Elwes - who worked on Christmas Carol with the director - is George Harrison and Epic Movie's Adam Campbell is Ringo Starr. But in an odd twist, they won't be needed for the musical numbers - that duty will fall to tribute band Fab 4, who will be playing along to actual Beatles tracks. Just a few days back Robert Carlyle used the Scottish BAFTAs as a platform to voice his displeasure of the British film industry. There have been no decent films produced here, he said, since Trainspotting.

Studying Carlyle’s words, he has a point; the cinematic output of Great Britain primarily regurtiates the same type of film over and over. Chief amongst them are the kitchen sink tragedy and the costume drama. However, there is a third type of high profile movie produced on these shores which generally lead to much commercial success. This genre can be, for all intents and purposes, attributed to one man. This, the third entry into the British cinema canon, is the “Richard Curtis movie”.

Since graduating from television writing, Curtis has pioneered an individualistic approach to the world of cinema relying heavily on picture postcard locations in Southern England, syrupy sentiment, “comedy” swearing and middle-class males indulging in linguistic mishaps.

Just ask the blokes of the UK movie “Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel”, a sci-fi comedy that barely has any big-budget special effects, but still manages to be pretty darn good if you enjoy wacky stories about time paradoxes, hot girls from the future, and drinks in a pub. The film stars Chris O’Dowd as Ray, an enthusiastic nerd (or “imagineer”, as he insists on being called) with a penchant for sci-fi and a fountain of useless time travel knowledge. Along with buddies Toby (Marc Wootton) and Pete (Dean Lennox Kelly), Ray stumbles across a “time leak” in, appropriately enough, the bathroom of their local pub. He also meets Cassie (Anna Faris), a pretty American time travel fixer of sorts from the future. Graham Linehan's 'The It Crowd' has received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for Best Situation Comedy. The awards will take place at the Royal Festival Hall on London's South Bank on Sunday April 26th. The sitcom of which Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books) created, stars Irish actor Chris O'Dowd who plays an It technician in a fictitious British corporation. O'Dowd will appear in the soon to be released 'The Boat That Rocked' directed by Richard Curtis (Love Actually) and the upcoming 'Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel'.

It's unfortunate that Garth Jennings' adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was such a commercial failure, because now instead of looking forward to more sequels based on the work of Douglas Adams, we have to settle for imitations like Gareth Carrivick's Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel. That must also be why they have chosen to market this as "Shaun of the Dead meets Dr. Who", but I suppose if you're in the market for a quirky British sci-fi comedy, it doesn't look all that bad. Entering a bar and meeting a woman who claims she comes from the future, three ordinary blokes are about to get into an adventure of a lifetime as seen in the brand new international trailer of "Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel". With the running time of less than two minutes, the promo video presents snippets of what the three experience while they are caught in accidental time travels.

"Faq About Time Travel" follows two geeks and a cynic as they fall into a series of accidental trips back and forth through time. Admittedly when I first found out about this film a while ago, I thought it sounded completely stupid.. but after hearing it's "time travel meets shaun of the dead" (of course without the zombies) and watching the trailer, I'm sold. It even has some money post apocalyptic shots with huge killer ants.

Anna Faris and her actor boyfriend Chris Pratt are engaged, a representative for the movie beauty has confirmed. In a statement issued to People, the representative says the pair got engaged last year.

Other details of the engagement are not disclosed though. It is also not known if the celebrity lovers are planning to get married soon.

Anna Faris, who plays the lead role of Cindy Campbell in the "Scary Movie" films, was previously married to actor Ben Indra in June 2004. She then filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized on February 19, 2008.

On-screen, Faris will be starring in a number of new movies, naming some are "Young Americans", "Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel", and "Observe and Report."
