Weak

I watched the movie and however my expectations weren't too high, I must say that this flick has nothing that that I like in a 'thriller':

It was boring, it had nerving 'conversations', a predictable plot and poor acting (I must admit, that if there isn't a real script, what can be expected from acting?) This movie is a wannabee of its worst kind. It tries to jump on the "I have lost my mind - and I try to reconstruct the puzzle"-train. But, please Mr. Scherman, leave this to directors who really know their job - as for instance Chris Nolan ('Memento'), Brad Anderson ('The Machinist') or James Magold ('Identity') or John Polson ('Hide and Seek') - that admittedly is a little weaker than the other examples, just to mention a few.

I repeat: Don't expect too much - or better to say Nothing' out of this movie. For 'round 90 minutes there are only two (b-)actors walking through a wood talking nonsense.

So neither waste your time nor money!

Brainless, but worthwhile film.

Watched this one morning instead of going to class. It's an easy watch and somewhat enjoyable, although there are certainly better films of this genre to watch. THIS FILM IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE LEONARD NEMOY MOVIE OF THE SAME NAME.

Our main character, Frank, wakes up in the forest with amnesia, along with a man who, at gunpoint, accuses Frank of murdering a group of people. The psychological thriller expounds from this point, as Frank's recollections throughout the movie distort and become almost nonsensical.

I enjoyed the movie for what it was. It's worth watching on cable if it comes around and worth renting, just for the sake of wanting to watch a thriller without thinking too hard.

don't watch this one

This movie is a waste of time.

Unless your type of movie is watching two guys with one guy pointing a gun at the other guy for 1 1/2 hours walking through a barren forest, skip it.

This movie bored me to death. The actors are terrible and the plot is terrible.

This is no Drama, neither a Thriller.. but a mere snooze.

I give this movie a 1/10, only because I had an interest in the IMDb tagline.

Do not waste your time and money on this movie.

So Who Did It?

Never Again opens with poor Lou Diamond Phillips hanging from a trapper's noose by one leg and then falling down and not remembering anything about how he might have gotten there. Along comes Kris Holden- Ried bearing a weapon and accusing Lou of being a murderer, specifically of his wife. The two then tramp through the woods with Holden-Ried holding a gun on Phillips who can't remember anything, but like Gregory Peck in Mirage, bits and pieces start coming back.

Would that this film which was shot in Canada standing in for the woods of Northern Michigan was half as good as Mirage. After a while you're starting not care who might have done what. The ending however is a surprise of sorts and in a real minor key, no dramatic climaxes here.

Lou mistook a Canadian goose and wound up with a Canadian turkey.

Pointless babble

(2007) Never Forget THRILLER/ MYSTERY

Straight-to-rental crap starring Lou Diamond Phillips as Frank whose just woke up with amnesia while tied on to a tree with a rope upside down and the unknown assailant going through the forest looking for him. As Frank regains his memory the movie gets more ludicrous as it progresses until the very end which is stupid beyond belief. By watching this film, anyone can tell this film is trying to make the most of Lou Diamond Phillips presence available as much as possible since all the other actors are non-commercial actors. If you use a "fast- forward" button while playing, you won't have to listen to the babble of this pointless film and still be able to understand it! Bomb.

Entertaining

I didn't know what to expect from this movie when I rented it today. I have noticed that Lou Diamond Phillips has been diversifying his acting roles rather than his past "cause" or "message" type movies, and he can actually act! I'm impressed. After a deluge of his past message/cause movies (that caused to form a feeling of dread for me when I'd see his name attached), I hesitated to try out some new movie rentals lately with his name on them, and have to say I found them entertaining and enjoyable. This one did not disappoint me (and the Westerns he's been in were good, too). The premise storyline seems hackneyed and simple, but it was more complex, and very well done ... kept me guessing to the end as to who was the bad guy. The movie set was the woods, woods, and more woods, so to do a feature like this and keep me from hitting the Stop button ... well, the movie was intense and kept me interested. The one item that I found to be a bit out of place was the scene with arterial blood spurting (knocked a star off for this since I thought it cheapened the film). I think that could have been left out, but perhaps it was left in for gore fans.

If you're looking for a deep kind of gory thriller, this wouldn't fall into that category. This is more of an intellectual guessing type thriller that exceeded any expectation I had upon renting it. It's not a big blockbuster, but I'd recommend giving it a watch!

Don't go by appearances

Another story of amnesia ,but the first part is interesting ,because there are only two characters on the screen ,lost in a forest ;Lou Diamond Phillips looks like a victim of tragic circumstances and Kris H. Reid the bad boy who keeps him at bay with his gun ;when they meet a dying cop, the victim shows more humanity and urges his enemy to put an and to his suffering .

Little by little , visions come back to haunt the amnesiac : a woman's face ,his wife? ;then horrible pictures of a massacre .

There are plot holes :what's the point of involving a second couple? The end (with the obligatory unexpected twist) does not give any explanation.

No masterpiece ,but short, dense ,and gripping .Violence kept to the minimum .
