    Decent

It's strange that this is my first review of an anime. For me, the story had a great beginning, but as it progressed, I became disinterested. This anime goes straight to the action (it makes sense since there's only 26 episodes), so there are no filler episodes where we could get to know more of the characters. I love that after watching FMAB I found another anime involving homunculi (now I gotta do more research to see if there are any more!). And I wanted to watch an action anime for some time, but sadly I find myself being bored of this one.

I adore Tokiko & her domineering nature. She was a sweet, stern but strong character. But why the *bleep* does she wear that school uniform every day? The school uniform she is wearing was, I assume, worn on one of her earlier missions. I wish they just gave her her own iconic outfit. Papillion has one but not Tokiko?! Papillion reminded me of HxH's Hisoka. But unlike Hisoka, I find him quite annoying. At first I was intrigued, but later in the anime, whenever he opened his mouth, I just went, "Oh my god, who cares?!!!" So he does this thing where I am sure he is purposely doing it to offend people or because it's an anime they need to add something perverted to stick to the status quo *pulls out the anime bingo card*. Ok, so what he does is he will sometimes pull something from his...ummm...you know, "junk trunk". Especially his iconic mask. Ew. Just ew bruv! That was one of the few turn offs for me in this anime. This anime is lucky that it has bearable (tho mainly boring) characters.

Kazuki himself was pretty good. His friends were blah. They were nothing special. His sister was a cutie! But the English dubbed version of her sounds like a grandma doing her best to sound like a teenage girl.

This is a type of anime you watch when you ran out of anime to watch. Which is funny because for me I didn't watch that much anime in the past year (only the short S2 of Spy x Family, which was a letdown), and I finally came across this one, so I was so hyped up for it. The story is good though it drags here and there, characters are decent to good....same goes for the action. Overall this animation is not too bad but it's not too good either. To me the standouts in this anime is the butterfly mask, that moon-face villain and Tokiko herself.

Skip it. It started good, then become badly written.

Some of the early episodes were so good that I started recommending the series to people. However, 5 episodes in, the show starts having really bad writing. The characters often behave very stupidly, don't keep their word, story things happen that (in my view) make no sense. I watched it through to the end, and there were some good episodes here and there, but unfortunately I don't recommend the series.
