A number of Emmy favorites are no longer in the running to win for Outstanding Drama Series — so will a newcomer take advantage of the clean slate to claim victory?
Of this year’s eight nominees, only one carries over from last year: Netflix’s royal drama The Crown, up for its sixth and final season. (That marks its sixth nomination in this category, with a win in 2021.) Previous category staples Succession — last year’s winner — and Better Call Saul have wrapped up and are out of the running, opening the door for a whole new roster of contenders… including four freshmen series.

When Tate McRae broke through in 2020 with the brooding bedroom pop of her debut single “You Broke Me First,” the then-17 year-old Canadian singer stormed TikTok with such an innate understanding of how other teenagers were consuming music that RCA Records didn’t just sign her, they restructured their marketing strategy around her. But the formula behind that initial success— a combination of original dances, trend participation, and teaser snippets — hasn’t always worked for her. “She’s All I Wanna Be,” the should-have-been-hit from her 2022 debut album I Used...

Tate McRae looks absolutely stunning in a plunging green crop top and mini skirt.
The Canadian singer and songwriter attended this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, where she showed off her incredible long legs.
Not only that, but she hosted the pre-show as well.
Her outfit gives beautiful mermaid vibes with a modern twist. Her green crop top is longer on her right side, with an interesting pattern going down to her abdomen.
The same kind of symmetry is seen in her matching miniskirt.
Her long brown hair is styled in perfect soft curls falling down her back.

Before Tate McRae was trying to take the pop world by storm, she was a former finalist on So You Think You Can Dance? who had a vlog series where she flaunted her singer-songwriter skills. In 2019, one of the videos she recorded — a piano ballad called “One Day” — went viral on YouTube and landed her a contract with RCA. It wasn’t long until her 2020 lush dark-pop “You Broke Me First” also became a viral hit. Since then, McRae has found herself situated squarely in the “sad girl” lane, channeling...

On New Day on Wednesday morning, CNN chief international correspondent Clarissa Ward beamed images of the crowds trying to make their way to Afghanistan’s Hamid Karzai airport, hoping to secure a spot on a plane leaving the country.
“I have covered all sorts of crazy situations. This was mayhem. This was nuts,” Ward said, reporting from the side of the road.
“What was crazy about it is that normally there can be chaotic situations, but there is some kind of protocol, or form of order outside an airport where people form a line and people show their documentation,”...

Ralph Schuckett, a keyboard player best known as a member of Todd Rundgren’s Utopia as well as an in-demand session player and producer and, later, composer for “Pokemon” and other animation projects, died Sunday at 73.
No cause of death was immediately given, although he was known to have been ill. When a Utopia reunion tour was announced in early 2018, Schuckett was announced as part of the lineup and even met with other members for a publicity photo, but he was forced to withdraw shortly before rehearsals began.
Among his early studio credits prior to joining Utopia were Carole King’s first three albums, including the landmark “Tapestry.”
“Ralph Schuckett was a sweet guy, a great friend, and a very talented cat,” King said in a statement Wednesday morning. “That’s his sparkling piano on ‘Smackwater Jack.’ Rest In Peace and love.”

“The Outsider” is as much a true crime story as it is the kind of chilling horror tale that Stephen King has mastered. The HBO series, adapted from the author’s 2018 novel, might not fully lean into the horror that defined recent King adaptions, such as “It,” — but that was part of the appeal for series star and executive producer Jason Bateman, who also directed its first two episodes.
“I’m not a huge horror fan or into scare jumps, gore, or slashers (but) I really love dread, thrillers, tension and all that stuff,” Bateman said during a “The Outsider” panel at the Television Critics Association 2020 Winter Press Tour. “I was really excited that this story lived in more of a Stephen King ‘The Shining’ world, as opposed to some of his other great stories that are more in the frightening, scare, shock world.”

He's (Been) Here! Why These High School Sweethearts Took 'Newborn' Photos with Their 21-Year-Old Son
That’s one big baby!
Rebecca Jensvold Hayes and David Ward recently partook in a unique photo shoot to belatedly announce the “birth” of their 21-year-old son, Clayton Jensvold. The pictures quickly vent viral, with confused commenters calling the images “creepy” or “weird.”
But for Hayes, Ward and Jensvold, the goofy pictures have a much deeper meaning.
The California couple dated in high school, but broke up before Hayes gave birth to Jensvold in December 1995.
The high school sweethearts went on to marry different people and lead separate lives — in fact, the only thing that kept them in touch over the years was their son.
