Melissa Joan Hart is being slammed online after complaining that Hurricane Maria canceled her family vacation to the Caribbean.

“And just like that, our family vacation is canceled,” Hart captioned a now-deleted screenshot of a weather alert on her phone on Tuesday. “Such a bummer but we plan to hit the @nickresortpuntacana resort another time this year.”

The update warned that Hurricane Maria had made landfall on the Caribbean island of the Dominica as a Category 5 hurricane.

CNN reports 14 people in Dominica died, while 3 million people living in Puerto Rico are completely without power after the storm pummeled the U.

Last time we dropped in on San Francisco-based “Doom Pop” unit Death Valley High, they were being massacred by their own demonic doppelgängers in the bloody music video “Multiply,” from their 2011 album Doom, In Full Bloom. As you’re aware, MTV premiered 30 years ago today. As you’re aware if you’re old, MTV took a while to go nationwide. The prevailing wisdom, as I recall it, was that such a thing could never catch on. The idea of a 24-hour music-video channel was tantalizing for the youth of the early ‘80s, and the wait for the cable systems in St. Louis to carry it was excruciating.

A little light has been shed on director, Neill Blomkamp's 'Elysium,' his first film after his much praised 2009 sci-fi, 'District 9.' A viral website for a company called Armadyne -- not to be confused with Cyberdyne -- has come online. It features a brief video showcasing the company's goals of creation and its finer aspects. Another piece of media comes in the form of a recruitment sign that Coming Soon has stumbled across at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently running from July 21-24. Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to play a couple songs from his latest solo effort, Demolished Thoughts. The noise rock veteran performed “Circulation” on the show, complete with a violinist and harpist to back him up. Moore also performed the mellow jammer “Blood Never Lies” as a web exclusive. As if bringing just one legend on the show wasn’t enough for Fallon, Hüsker Dü’s Bob Mould also came on the show to play a short tune with The Roots and promote his new autobiography, See A Little Light....

Set in 1958, Cloris Leachman stars as Melba Stokes, who runs a beauty parlor with her mother Sheba (Ann Sothern) and her teenage daughter Cheryl (Linda Purl). When the shop is repossessed, Melba packs up the family and hits the road in an effort to reclaim her family home in Arkansas. Aided by Cheryl’s beleaguered boyfriend (Happy Days’ Don Most), a greaser (Brian Englund) and an old lady gambler (a scene stealing Merie Earle), they joyride through five states on a wild, hilarious crime spree.

The Film:

I get excited when I hear director Noboru Iguchi has a new film out, it gets me giddy with excitement. I don’t doubt that he’ll always be a B-movie director that’s to one-note and odd for some, and humorously outrageous for others, even so, his brand of Japanese gore-fest won’t ever be adopted into genre hearts like the films of Takashi Miike have. But that’s okay. Arm-pit swords, butt-throwing stars, and band-saw mouths, are aimed for those who smile at a title like RoboGeisha. “Wig Napalm!”

Iguchi’s Machine Girl exploded across the pond due to its imaginative premise, mixing gore, violence, and humor all the while cranking it up past 10. Tokyo Gore Police and Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl continued and furthered his style and appeal. RoboGeisha on paper seemed equally as fun and madly brilliant. Having met through the skateboarding magazine Big Brother, where filmmaker Jeff Tremaine was the editor and art director, Steve-o and Chris Pontius started making videos of various crazy stunts with Johnny Knoxville, a writer there, for a video series that would accompany the publication. The success of those videos, showcasing their painful antics, expanded into the concept that became the television pilot for the successful MTV reality series Jackass, and now the franchise is in its third feature film installment, this time upping the ante by being in 3D.

At the film’s press day, Steve-o and Chris Pontius talked about having to be sober in order to be allowed to shoot a stunt, worrying about keeping things R-rated for the MPAA and the extreme tension on set because side pranks can happen to anyone at anytime. Weezer's Tuesday night Axe-sponsored secret show in Hollywood featured a whole lot of surprises — you know, aside from the show itself, since it was a secret — including My Chemical Romance joining the band onstage to rip through a version of "My Name Is Jonas" and former "Lost" star (and inspiration for Weez's new Hurley album title) Jorge Garcia, who shared lead-vocal duties with Rivers Cuomo on "Perfect Situation."

And if you think the crowd was shocked by all this (which, judging by YouTube footage of the performance, they were), you can imagine how Garcia must have felt. When MTV News spoke to him last month, he spoke about his future plans to help the band promote Hurley,...

A little light into how "Glee" will tackle the "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" tribute has been shared. E! Online is reporting that the original castmembers of the 1975 film will be on board the episode which is slated to air on October 26 to coincide with Halloween.

The two stars are none other than Meat Loaf and Barry Bostwick who portrayed Eddie the Ex Delivery Boy and Brad Majors the Hero respectively. But instead of reprising their roles, these two would be TV station managers who have "an interesting proposal" for Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester.

Susan Sarandon was also in the original movie and she was open to join the episode on one condition. "[It would depend] what they wanted me to do," Sarandon told People. "I'm not really a singer, so I wouldn't be very out there. I'm a terrible singer."

There was also a hint that "Time Wrap" will be performed by Chris Colfer's Kurt.

New York — A little light drizzle in Times Square didn't stop die-hard "Twilight" fans from lining up before dawn for a chance to meet two "New Moon" stars, Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed, just hours before theaters were to begin showing the film. The line stretched down Broadway and onto a side street as fans held umbrellas and proudly bore franchise T-shirts while waiting to get autographs and snap some pictures.
