I happened to be in Los Angeles for the opening of this movie and I am so glad I got to see it. It's funny, smart and outrageous at times, intelligently blending various references, styles and formats into one hilarious whole. Schraft and Mulroney play off of one another really well. At times, you ponder how much certain scenes or dialogue might remind you of "Strangers with Candy" or something like that. But then, the tone changes ever so slightly, producing this blending of different styles I mentioned. I really hope that more independent movies like this are produced in Hollywood and that they have the backing and distribution to reach those of us who aren't living in Los Angeles and able to access them as easily.
