'Guys With Kids' Tempestt Bledsoe: Bill Cosby 'put my grades on his dressing room door'
In an age-appropriate role, Tempestt Bledsoe plays a mother of four in NBC's "Guys With Kids." Yet because of her baby face and growing up on "The Cosby Show," people expect her to somehow still be a child, frozen in time.

Bledsoe was Vanessa, the fourth of the five children on "The Cosby Show" (1984-92). Wearing a killer one-shouldered, body-hugging red dress and very high red heels, Bledsoe, 39, reflects on why she was able to resist the pitfalls that engulf so many child stars.

"I wanted to go to college on time, and I did," she tells Zap2it of attending New York University. "When Dr. Cosby found out I was doing that, he moved the shooting schedule" to accommodate her classes, she says.

Decades later, Bledsoe still beams when she says, "He put my grades on his dressing room door."

Bledsoe earned a degree in finance because "I wanted to do something different,...

'The Simpsons' Facing Cancellation?
Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, and Yeardley Smith in Les Simpson (1989)
Update (2:22 Pm Est): 20th Century Fox TV released a statement about the negotiations, sounding a bit dire.

23 seasons in, The Simpsons is as creatively vibrant as ever and beloved by millions around the world. We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come. ______

Previously: Despite Homer Simpson's best efforts, it may not be a nuclear meltdown that brings about Springfield's doom. Instead, its end may come thanks to the business of Hollywood that the show has lampooned for so long.

According to a new report from The Daily Beast, the show's voice actors are locked in a bitter contract negotiation with 20th Century Fox, with the studio...

Documentary On Indie-Rock Legends The Replacements Set To Premiere
Documentary on indie-rock legends The Replacements set to premiere.

Color Me Obsessed, the first documentary about famed 80.s indie-rock band The Replacements, will have its World Premiere at the 5th annual Gasparilla International Film Festival in Tampa, Florida.Gorman Bechard, the film.s director, took top honors at last year.s Giff with his romantic-comedy Friends (With Benefits).

Told through the eyes of fans, friends, and contemporaries, Color Me Obsessed breaks from the traditional music documentary format of music and performances. Not looking to make a VH1/where-are-they-now style documentary Bechard took a unique approach, .I decided to present the band in a more iconic way,. he explains. .I thought, people believe in God without seeing or hearing him but rather through the passion, faith, and stories of others. After watching Color Me Obsessed, I.m pretty sure music fans will believe in The Replacements in much the same way.

Watch: Robb Pratt's Hand-Drawn Animated Short 'Superman Classic'
We know that we're only a few years away from seeing Zack Snyder's Superman: Man of Steel in all of its glory (we hope), but in the meantime, let's step back in time to check out Superman Classic. Animator Robb Pratt (Home on the Range, "The Replacements") really loves Superman and decided to direct his own self-animated short called Superman Classic. The footage is also set to music from the old Superman Saturday matinee serials and he even got John Newton, who played Superboy in the 1980s TV series, to voice Clark Kent. It's a quick watch and so fun to see, so check out Pratt's animated Superman short below. I owe thanks to Heat Vision and 24 Frames for both originally posting this video. Not only is it great to see homemade hand-drawn animation thriving like this in the digital age, but it's wonderful to see Pratt put his...

Kirk Alyn, Virginia Carroll, Ed Cassidy, and Carol Forman in Superman (1948)
Disney Animator Robb Pratt’s ‘Superman Classic’ Short Film
Kirk Alyn, Virginia Carroll, Ed Cassidy, and Carol Forman in Superman (1948)
[1] Disney animator Robb Pratt [2] has created a short hand-drawn animated Superman fan film which features a 1950's-like sci-fi take with Superman battling a huge robot who is destroying Metropolis. Without credits, the short is under one-minute in length, but still a stunning achievement considering Pratt produced, directed and storyboarded the idea himself, and animated the film with two others. The short is based on classical elements from early in the character's history -- Pratt references the architectural work of Hugh Ferriss [3], and incorporates Mischa Bakaleinikoff’s music from the Superman live-action serial. Pratt worked on animated features like Tarzan, Hercules, Pocahontas, Fantasia 2000 and television series like Kick Buttowski, Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and The Replacements. Clark Kent/Superman is voiced by John Newton, who atarred as a young Clark Kent in the late 1980's television series The Adventures of Superboy. While Zack Snyder's Superman movie...

David McCallum and Marg Helgenberger Discussing 'Wonder Woman'
Criminal investigation meets Greek mythology when current primetime television stars David McCallum and Marg Helgenberger assume the voices of Zeus and Hera, respectively, for Wonder Woman, the next entry in the popular series of DC Universe animated original PG-13 films, débuting March 3 in multiple formats.

McCallum, known to current TV audiences as Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard in the hit CBS series Navy NCIS (Navel Criminal Investigative Service), adds Wonder Woman to an animation resume that already includes the DC Universe movie Batman Gotham Knight and TV series Ben 10 and The Replacements. Animation is but a side gig for McCallum, though, the actor having achieved legendary status for his two best known roles – in film as Lt.-Cmdr. Eric Ashley-Pitt in The Great Escape and on TV as super spy Illya Kuryakin in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. During his 62-year career, McCallum has played many notable characters in fanboy TV favorites like Jeremiah,...

Disney, CBS dip into Netflix stream
Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana (2006)
Disney and CBS have inked separate deals to show TV series including "Hannah Montana" and "CSI" on demand and commercial-free to Netflix subscribers.

The arrangements allow Netflix users to stream via the Internet some new shows 24 hours after they air as well as such older shows as "MacGyver," "Star Trek" and "Family Ties." In all, about 350 episodes from CBS will be available.

Disney's contribution includes 500 episodes from, among others, Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place," "The Replacements" and new spinoff series "The Suite Life on Deck." Disney's ABC was not included in the deal.

Subscribers primarily will watch the shows on personal computers, though Netflix also has partnered with various consumer electronics companies that make boxes for putting Netflix's streaming content on TV screens.

A stand-alone box from Roku sells for $100 and similar technology is coming to Xbox game consoles and is being built into a Blu-ray player coming from LG Electronics.
