The film is a family drama that explores the relationship between a father and son, who embark on a pilgrimage to Varanasi.

Anil Sharma said that the film is a tribute to the timeless appeal of a family bond, and he is thrilled to have the legendary actor Nana Patekar on board with him. Mumbai, Sep 18: Remake is the latest fad in Bollywood, but filmmaker Anil Sharma, who is set to release his next - "Singh Saab The Great" - says he doesn't believe in remakes.

The director-actor duo has worked together in movies like "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha", "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy" and "Apne".

Tracking Sunny's film journey, Anil said the actor is the harbinger of modern cinema in India and he, in fact, did it with his debut film 'Betaab' in 1983.

The ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ team is back with their sequel. In the first part, Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were seen together after their outing in “Apne”. Mumbai, March 17: Filmmaker Anil Sharma, who recently finished the first schedule of "Singh Saheb The Great" in Bhopal, will now start shooting for a song sequence here with the film's leading lady Urvashi Rautela.

The director of films like "Gadar - Ek Prem Katha" and "Apne", focuses on a common man's life in the movie.

"Second schedule for the film will begin from March 24th in Mumbai at the Filmistan Studio. It's a song sequence and we have put up a complete marriage set in the studio. It's a song and dance sequence, which will be shot on Urvashi," Sharma told Ians and added that his movie will also have an item song.

Post the success of Yamla Pagla Deewana in 2011, the Deols (Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby) will next be seen in the sequel to Yamla Pagla Deewana directed by Sangeeth Sivan. However, seeing the success the trio had at the B.O., Subhash Ghai has signed them on for his next production.

In fact on the 34th anniversary of Mukta Arts, Ghai announced two new films namely, Ishq De Maare and Apna Sapna Money Money 2. While the latter will be a sequel to the comic caper which released in 2006, Ishq De Maare, shooting of which is scheduled to start by April or May next year, will feature the three Deols.

Ishq De Maare will be written by Neeraj Pathak who earlier wrote Apne. Though Ghai will be producing the film, the director hasn't been announced yet. Meanwhile Ghai is busy making a comeback to direction after a gap of four years with his new film Kaanchi.

Sunny Deol and director Anil Sharma, who have given hits like Gadar-Ek Prem Katha, The Hero - Love Story of a Spy and Apne, are now working together in Singh Sahab The Great. Director Anil Sharma, whose last film was Salman Khan-starrer Veer in 2010, is very happy to get back to direction. "It is always exciting to get back to direction. The Anil Sharma - Sunny Deol combo, which created magic with Gadar, has teamed up yet again. The film-maker, who delivered a success in Apne in the intervening period, is planning an entertainer with Sunny in the lead and it's called Singh Sahab The Great. "The film with Deols [Dharmendra, Sunny, Bobby], an entirely different project, will commence later," Sharma clarifies at the very outset, "Singh Sahab The Great is with Sunny alone." The film-maker has signed the writer of Gadar, Shaktimaan, to pen the screenplay of Singh Sahab The Great. "It took me two years to lock this amazing script. In fact, I wish to state that it will be a landmark film in my career, like Hukumat and Gadar were," Sharma beams confidently. He plans to begin filming Singh Sahab The Great in a few months from now.
