Young Werther is a new romantic comedy based on the classic smash hit novel of tragic romance, albeit with a modern spin. One of the year's funniest movies, its characters are complex and the dialogue is incredibly rich.
Taking on the title role of Werther in this engrossing adaptation of the 1774 novel, The Sorrows of Young Werther, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, is Douglas Booth.
Many of you will know him best for his roles in Jupiter Ascending, The Dirt, and Great Expectations; however, the English actor is about to break into the world of comic book adaptations with season 2 of Netflix's The Sandman.
Booth will play Cluracan, a courtier in the court of the Queen of Faerie and the brother to Nuala, who was given to Dream as a gift from his queen. Often drunk, and with a propensity to offend others even when sober, he nevertheless has...

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s relationship remains one of the most tumultuous in pop culture. The pair met on New Year’s Eve 1994, with Lee recalling their first encounter in his autobiography The Dirt. He described Anderson as someone who was radiating an irresistible energy, which led to him making a rather strange move—licking her face.

Just weeks later, in February 1995, Anderson and Lee took their budding romance to Cancun. Although I was sad to see Ghosts season 4 take a few weeks off the air, knowing what the show has planned makes the wait for the CBS sitcom’s return easier. The ghosts of CBS’s Ghosts are some of the funniest network sitcom characters on TV, so I was excited to see that season 4 of the series would be a longer outing. After the shorter season 3, Ghosts season 4 returned in October for a full-length season 4. However, although Ghosts season 4’s cast of characters included new faces, the sitcom was already on hiatus by November 2024.

Nobody thinks they’ve got an accent, which means they really notice when someone is imitating their accent so badly that it borders on mockery. For instance, most Americans would describe their own speech as “normal,” but have you ever heard a foreign actor just completely bomb it? If not, go watch Iwan Rheon pretend to be an American rock star in The Dirt, Just his scenes, though. That movie is a lot.
That’s why it’s all the more impressive when they get it right, even if, by the nature of getting it right, you never even notice. “In high school, I remember people being shocked to learn Hugh Laurie was English when House was huge,” Redditor homeMalone89 told r/Movies. “I think Daniel Kaluuya’s American accent work is the best there currently is.”

Without a doubt, the 1980s was the most delightfully dangerous era in music history, thanks to the rise of Hair Metal. Now, that legendary and infamous era in rock music gets the documentary treatment with Nthin' But A Good Time: The Uncensored Story of '80s Hair Metal, based on the book of the same name by Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock. This three-part series features dozens of stories about sex, drugs, fist fights, and everything else that made the Sunset Strip the ultimate destination for rock and roll enthusiasts back in the day.
Director Jeff Tremaine is no stranger to the freewheeling, "anything goes" nature of rock and roll culture, having cut his teeth as co-creator of Jackass, the legendary MTV series starring Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, and other daredevils with presumably outrageous insurance premiums. More recently, he directed the feature film adaptation of The Dirt, based on the autobiography...

Further perspective is given by the likes of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Steve-o. Here director Jeff Tremaine previews this nostalgia trip through a decade of excess and debauchery. Over the years, the core team changed a bit. For example, in 2023, Discovery Channel fans found out that Kayla Johanson left. For her, there was just way too much drama and not enough gold. So, she quit and went to make her way on YouTube and with jewelry creation. Does that mean that filming hurt her pocket? Of course, that makes viewers wonder about the rest of the crew getting paid.

Playing the villain Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones brought Iwan Rheon career success, but also made it challenging for him to land roles as a "nice guy." Rheon found himself typecast as a villain in many of his post-Game of Thrones appearances, limiting his opportunities to play different characters. However, Rheon has recently been breaking away from his villainous image with roles such as Mick Mars in The Dirt and various other projects.
Landing a prominent role in Game of Thrones seems like the kind of gig that would lead to nothing but good things, but for actor Iwan Rheon, playing the hated villain Ramsay Bolton made it difficult for him to get certain roles.

The series, which aired from 2011 to 2019, featured a few despicable characters, none more than the psychopathic torturer Ramsay Bolton, who was played by the Welsh actor Iwan Rheon.

It is with great joy and relief that we announce that Ozzy Osbourne is still alive. He’s pretty happy about it, too, but not terribly surprised by his own account. It was more of a shock for the heavy metal icon when one video popped up claiming that he did in fact die.
Although he’s certainly a mainstay in those awful annual celebrity death pools – now 75, Ozzy was recently diagnosed with Parksinon’s and led a hard road of drug and alcohol abuse – the Prince of Darkness says he’s staying put. As he addressed on his family podcast, “I put it on and I died! The thing on YouTube, which goes, ‘Celebrities Who Have Died Today,’ and there’s a picture of me.” For those who didn’t pick up on the nuances, Ozzy reiterated, “I’m not dead…I’m not going any-f*cking-where and I...

The wedding took place at Michelin Green Star restaurant Petersham Nurseries. Bel told Vogue, “Petersham is a beautiful venue, and we fell in love with the chic but incredibly relaxed vibe there. We loved the idea of the wedding feeling glamorous and chic but grounded by the fact that everyone’s heels were in the mud!”

The recently revived Osbournes Podcast is proving to reveal a wealth of inside information on the family, some of which fans may never want to know. In the latest episode, Ozzy Osbourne disclosed that he used to willingly piss his pants onstage, arguing that he was “wet anyway.”
The weekly podcast features Ozzy sitting around a table with his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly. This particular conversation started earlier in the episode when the family was discussing a pair of Queen Victoria’s underwear that were once sold at auction.
Later on, Sharon mentioned that she once owned Marilyn Monroe’s shoes, to which Jack responded, “Hang on a second, so it’s weird to have the Queen’s underwear, but you can have Marilyn Monroe’s shoes?” To which Sharon retorted, “Shoes, a handbag, a dress is different than somebody’s bloody knickers that they farted in and shit in.

Adapting the biography of a singular figure is hard enough, but how do you adapt the autobiography of a band? Bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Mick Mars, drummer Tommy Lee, and Vince Neil joined forces to make Mötley Crüe, one of the most successful bands of the 1980s and well-documented hedonist troublemakers.
In 2001, all four members of the band along with Neil Strauss released an autobiography called "The Dirt," describing the group as "the world's most notorious rock band." The book shot to the top 10 on the New York Times Best Seller list and stayed there for 10 weeks. On a personal note, I used the book as the subject of my own freshman year biography project book report in 2004, when I showed up to school dressed like Nikki Sixx and delivered my presentation in full character ... much to my teacher's chagrin.

In early May, we travelled to Nashville to spend a couple of days with Mick Mars and hear about his bitter departure from Mötley Crüe. Mars stepped away from the touring unit in late 2022 after 41 years in the group he co-founded. He’d been suffering from the debilitating bone disease ankylosing spondylitis for decades, and life on the road simply became too painful to endure. In his telling, they used this as an excuse to violate legal agreements and deny him his share of band proceeds. The matter is currently...

Netflix's The Dirt features a number of actors portraying real-life rock stars, including members of Mötley Crüe and other heavy metal icons, and some of the cast are actual musicians themselves. Based on Mötley Crüe's collective autobiography (co-authored by Neil Strauss), The Dirt incorporates many true facts from the band's unbelievable story. The movie is appropriately helmed by Jackass co-creator Jeff Tremaine, who is no stranger to filming chaotic pranks. When its narrative is not exploring Mötley Crüe's rise to fame, The Dirt is filled with the band’s infamous on-stage and backstage antics. At the same time, it also highlights their family troubles and struggles with drug addiction.
The true story of The Dirt is brought to life by the main actors portraying the members of Mötley Crüe, each of them relying on heavy makeup, long hair, and an unabashedly brash attitude to play their respective characters.

Musician biopics have become incredibly popular recently, with films like Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman, Elvis, Straight Outta Compton, and Judy all reaching box office success and major accolades during awards season. It’s unsurprising that audiences are interested in seeing their favorite performers honored with a big screen feature film about their life; not only do they get to learn more about the artist’s origins, but they can listen to some of their most iconic songs. However, some musician biopics have been better received than others, and Netflix’s Motley Crue biopic The Dirt was not the type of Bohemian Rhapsody level success that they might have imagined.
Based on the real band’s memoir about their experiences, The Dirt examines the formation of the band and how Nikki Sixx (Douglas Booth), Mick Mars (Iwan Rheon), Tommy Lee (Machine Gun Kelly), and Vince Neil (Daniel Webber) came together. Motley Crue...

Who doesn’t want a look at the inner workings of Pete Davidson’s mind?
Peacock released the trailer for “Bupkis,” its new series starring Davidson and which is based on his life.
In its half-hour episodes, “Bupkis” shows Davidson’s life in a heightened, fictionalized manner. Combining grounded storytelling with unfiltered and absurd elements, the eight-episode show will depict Davidson’s unique worldview.
The trailer opens with quick clips of tabloid headlines about Davidson and with him saying, “I googled myself yesterday. People think I’m, like, a joke for some reason.”

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's love story is being revisited once again thanks to Anderson's new Netflix documentary, "Pamela, a Love Story." The documentary presents Anderson's view of her and Lee's relationship, including the births of their children, Dylan Jagger Lee and Brandon Thomas Lee; and the theft and leakage of their sex tape. Anderson and Lee had a whirlwind romance: the couple wed in February 1995 just four days after they met, and Anderson filed for divorce three years later. So, what went wrong?
In February 1998, Lee was arrested for spousal abuse, child abuse, and unlawful possession of a firearm according to EW. According to police reports, the Mötley Crüe drummer assaulted Anderson while she was holding their 2-month-old son, Dylan, in their Malibu home. Lee was sentenced to six months in prison after pleading no contest to felony spousal battery. Anderson filed for divorce that same February, requesting custody of Dylan and Brandon.

The story that unfolds in Something in The Dirt plays out like a misguided documentary. Though the greater themes of the film seem to be beyond this universe, Co-directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson (who also wrote the script) cleverly lean into personality quirks and unreliable narration to make the film very human and contemporary, especially considering the amount of history, math and conspiracy theories populating the script. The creators also star in this sci-fi two-hander that is set primarily in a small one-bedroom apartment. Since the film is about making a documentary, there is plenty to unpack.
When Levi (Benson) moves into a new apartment complex, he runs into fellow neighbor John (Moorhead). Levi works as a bartender and John is a wedding photographer, but they both share an interest in the mysteries of the world. John offers his ex-husband's furniture as a welcome gift to Levi and the two strike up a friendship.
