Adolescence took the internet by storm, delivering a gut-wrenching, one-take storytelling experience that had viewers on the edge of their seats. The four-episode British crime drama, directed by Philip Barantini, followed 13-year-old Jamie Miller as he became entangled in the shocking murder of his classmate. With its raw take on radicalization, online influence, and the dark side of adolescence, the show didn’t just tell a story but started a conversation.
Since its March 2025 drop, the show has been an absolute phenomenon. Social media is flooded with viral fan theories, TikTok breakdowns, and heated debates about that jaw-dropping finale. The demand for Adolescence Season 2 is through the roof, with viewers desperate to see more of Jamie’s story. But is Netflix actually considering it?

It’s 1998, flannel shirts are still socially acceptable, Windows 98 is blowing our collective minds, and the gaming industry is gearing up for a golden era. The stage is set for something big, something revolutionary, something that would make gamers drop their Snes controllers in awe. That something was Half-Life.
Valve’s debut title wasn’t just another shooter, it was about to redefine how we thought about storytelling in video games. But here’s the thing: not even Valve’s own developers were entirely convinced they could pull it off. While the rest of the world was hyped beyond belief, some folks inside the company were looking at each other and thinking, “Uh… guys? Can we actually do this?”

Ever since its March 13, 2025 debut on Netflix, the four-episode mini-series Adolescence has been getting more and more attention. The interesting premise, combined with great acting, as well as the technical aspect, all contributed to the series’ popularity and we can say that it will remain as one of Netflix’s biggest hits.
Among the people who liked the series is Hideo Kojima, the famous Japanese video game designer who brought us hits such as Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding. In a recent social media post, Kojima praised the series.

He may not be returning to Star Wars (yet), but it looks like the Force is bringing together Oscar Isaac and Rogue One director/Andor creator Tony Gilroy. The actor is reportedly set to star in Gilroy's next feature film, a drama about a cello player — though there is very little known about the movie beyond that. If true, it would mark the first time the duo have worked together. But given the talent involved, we could absolutely see it not being the last time these two talented storytellers unite in creative collaboration.
Per the folks over at ComingSoon.net, the film is only in the script stage, with details being kept under wraps. There are, reportedly, several interested studio players involved in negotiations to grab the distribution and/or production rights to the film, currently titled Behemoth. Beyond that, your best guess is as good as ours as far as what will happen.

Fallout 76 isn’t the mess it was at launch anymore. Over the years, Bethesda has managed to turn it into an actual worthwhile game to play. With its latest “Ghoul Within” update, Fallout 76 has taken a big leap and has finally brought playable Ghoul characters.

It’s really a big moment for the Fallout franchise. Gamers had been demanding to play as Ghouls for decades. Making use of the player’s microphone to enhance the player experience in horror games has been a thing for a while now, but Eyes Never Wake, an upcoming title in the genre takes it a step further by using a mechanic we wish franchises like Splinter Cell and Hitman would soon adopt.

Hideo Kojima is one of the most respected figures in the gaming industry, and is the mastermind behind some of our favorite franchises like Metal Gear Solid. But not all of our praise for him is because of the games he has made, it’s because of his beliefs and visions for Kojima Productions, the studio he founded in 2015 after separating from Konami.

The new studio went on to find huge success and Kojima has even admitted over the years that he receives “ridiculously high” buyout offers from companies all over the world. But you know what his response to that has been? No. If you’re wondering why, it’s for creative freedom. He has made it clear that as long as he is alive, Kojima Productions will never be sold.

But while you were busy sneaking around Shadow Moses Island, Hayter was quietly penning what some consider the greatest superhero movie ever made. And no, we’re not talking about some obscure indie flick that only “true cinema” snobs pretend to understand. We’re talking about a bona fide blockbuster that hit screens a full decade before Avengers: Endgame had us all ugly crying in theaters.

If you’ve followed my writing here, you know that I’m a big fan of the old school, fixed camera survival horror genre. The original PlayStation era was a time that helped define my tastes in video games, with Silent Hill in particular making a huge mark on my interests for decades to come.
Even with my love of the genre, there were still games that slipped past me, despite looking right up my alley. A few years ago, I ran across one of those classics at a used game store and picked it up – Fear Effect. For whatever reason, I never got around to giving it a spin, but now for its 25th anniversary, I fired it up to find out what I was missing.

Captain America: Brave New World is performing slightly (and only slightly) better than expected at the worldwide box office, nearing $300 million following its second weekend in theaters.
The Marvel Studios movie dropped -60% internationally - -55% if you exclude China - by adding $35.3 million from 52 markets. That takes its overseas cume to $148.2 million which, combined with $141.2 million from North America, brings its global total to $289.4 million.
Profitability isn't exactly in sight but, assuming those reports about the budget ballooning to upwards of $300 million have been blown out of proportion, the movie could break even. Barely.
Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima has also weighed in with his thoughts and, as is often the case when he talks Marvel or DC, the X post has quickly gone viral.

Lies of P was a surprise entry to the Soulslike genre but it had a unique take on it. Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio brought us the classic Pinocchio tale mixed with steampunk aesthetics with intense action and it was a game that felt fresh and fun. However, according to the game’s devs, the plan was never to challenge Elden Ring.

Punishing difficulty is the identity of many Soulslikes games, including FromSoftware’s Elden Ring. The game was a success, and now we’re all ready for the Dlc and a potential sequel.

It is an indisputable fact that video game designer Hideo Kojima is an auteur in his field. After joining Konami in 1986, Kojima designed/wrote the genre-defining "Metal Gear," which rewired the definition of stealth-based combat in video games. The "Metal Gear" series has spawned seminal entries since then, including "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" and the inimitable "Metal Gear Solid," whose impact can be felt to this day. (You might have heard about the long-gestating "Metal Gear Solid" movie adaptation that fans have been clamoring for.)
As a self-proclaimed film buff and a lover of literature, Kojima lovingly poured these artistic influences into his games, being actively inspired by surreal cinema, mecha genre narratives, and classic sci-fi/anime. His love for cinematic cutscenes and rich, open worlds is fully realized in 2019's "Death Stranding," which boasts a stacked voice and motion-capture cast that includes Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and...

It is an interesting time for Bloodborne fans with Sony becoming a majority shareholder in FromSoftware, the Japanese studio that has single-handedly crafted an entire genre of games and inspired countless others to follow in its footsteps.
While franchises like Armored Core and Dark Souls have been major successes for Hidetaka Miyazaki over the years, Bloodborne is a title that has stayed in the hearts and minds of modern gamers owing to a combat loop that refuses to get old being supported by a world that is as terrifying as it is engaging.

Bloodborne’s impact on the Soulslike genre cannot be overstated considering how Miyazaki’s take on Lovecraftian horror has had its fans pleading with Sony for a sequel or even a remake of the classic title.

From unsatisfactory viewership numbers to the storyline hitting a wall, finding one crack in the plot is enough for producers and channels to bid the show farewell. The same seems to have happened with the science fiction show The Expanse on Syfy.
The show was well on its way to being engulfed in obscurity when Jeff Bezos, like a messiah, came to the rescue. How, you ask? Well, when a show is loved by one of the richest men on the planet, there’s little he cannot (or will not) do to keep it going.

The Call of Duty franchise has produced some of the best single-player experiences of all time. However, everyone will agree that one particular mission from a 17-year-old Call of Duty game stands out, even today. 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was quite important for the franchise as it was a shift from the franchise’s traditional World War II setting. Although the entire game had a modern setting, two missions took players back in time: All Ghillied Up and One Shot, One Kill.
The All Ghillied Up mission popularised the idea of stealth-centric missions (Image via Activision)
All Ghillied Up was the Call of Duty franchise’s first stealth-centric mission. In the mission, players control Captain Price as they make their way through Pripyat in a ghillie suit, taking out enemies stealthily. What makes the mission particularly special is the fact that none of the developers found the initial pitch exciting.

A new board game based on the Call of Duty franchise is still coming out, although its new release window is a year later than originally expected. The new game features maps from various Call of Duty games, along with iconic characters from the franchise. Although Call of Duty: The Board Game was originally for release in 2024, production and fulfillment was delayed. Arcane Wonders has now provided an update on when backers and board game enthusiasts can expect to see the game finally hit tables.
According to a press release from Arcane Wonders, Call of Duty: The Board Game will now come out in Q3 to Q4 of this year. An update on Kickstarter from late last year provided some more details about the delays. "We expected things like approvals from the licensor...

It's not every day that a new, game-changing stealth action concept comes along, but Sleight of Hand could be that game in 2025. Developed and published by RiffRaff Games, a new studio out of Wellington, New Zealand, Sleight of Hand is a third-person stealth game with a unique concept and some ambitious goals.
Sleight of Hand was revealed with a trailer during the Xbox Partner Preview back in March 2024, and is scheduled for release sometime in 2025. It'll be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Its developers are already comparing it to some of the greatest in the genre, and although it's still a ways away, Sleight of Hand is certainly one to watch.

Japanese video game designer Hideo Kojima is a well-respected figure in the gaming industry. He initially gained popularity for his work on 1987’s Metal Gear, laying down the foundation of the beloved Metal Gear franchise we know today. Kojima’s work stands out as he provides players with a unique blend of cinematic techniques with gameplay.

In an industry that once viewed video games as simple entertainment, one visionary dared to dream bigger. Hideo Kojima, a young developer with a passion for storytelling, faced constant opposition from colleagues who believed games were meant to be nothing more than basic side-scrolling adventures with flashy graphics.

But Kojima saw something different. Where others saw limitations, he recognized the untapped potential. Armed with nothing but determination and a library card, he set out to prove that video games could be more than just mindless entertainment—they could be art.

There are plenty of unique characters in the Metal Gear series, both science fiction and supernatural. From massive mechanical threats like the Metal Gears to clone soldiers like Solid Snake, the series has continuously demonstrated how warfare has advanced. Furthermore, cyborg technology has developed throughout Metal Gear‘s timeline, and the cyborg ninja concept is the most notable example.

Few filmmakers know how to craft a great cinematic hero like John Carpenter, leaving in his legacy many alluring characters throughout his directorial career. Perhaps better known for his horror movie villains, Carpenter's grim sense of creativity perhaps lends itself more to the darker side of a given narrative, with iconic antagonists like Lo-Pan, The Thing, and the Halloween serial killer Michael Myers all springing from his twisted mind. But as great as John Carpenter's best villains are, he also deserves recognition for his entertaining cinematic heroes.
The success of John Carpenter's characters can be measured in various ways. Some of them are legendary simply for their ability to weather the insidious circumstances of John Carpenter's best films, surviving slashers and subhuman creatures alike. Others are more watchable than likable, responsible for classic line deliveries and bold maneuvers that keep them worthy of rooting for even decades later.

Stardew Valley has many animals but a snake isn't one of them, which is why one player was very confused when they saw what looked like a small snake hanging out by the pigs. The animals that appear in the cozy farming sim are mostly farm animals like cows, sheep, chickens, dogs, and other animals you might find on a farm. It turns out that the snake was nothing more than an optical illusion.
Reddit user Aluciel286 thought they were seeing things when they noticed an adorable little yellow snake peeking out at them from the grass by the pig enclosure. They say, "I swore there was a little snake staring at me in the grass, but it's just the shape of the grass and dirt behind it." The Redditor helpfully follows up by explaining how to spot the cute little guy, around the middle of the image and "just below the fence.

Placing a “based-on-a true story” dark comedy in the snowy north carries with it some heavy connotations. The success of the Coen Brothers 1996 film Fargo, and its subsequent prestige television series on FX had mostly staked out this setting as their playground. However, The Sticky looks to needle into the setting while opening up the location. Who thought stealing syrup could be such a fruitful world to explore? With an excellent performance from (character actress) Margo Martindale leading the small ensemble, The Sticky scratched an itch for small-time heists. The Prime Video series maintains momentum and silliness despite intense moments of violence. This helps make the admittedly absurd story shine, despite the inclusion of some tired tropes.

Episode #7 of Dandadan dives into the backstory of its newest villain, Acrobatic Silky, shedding light on the tragic events that led to her transformation into a ghost. In a stunning adaptation by Science Saru, the scene is not only faithful to the manga but also enhanced, with additional elements that heighten its emotional impact. Presented through a powerful visual narrative with minimal dialogue, the backstory leaves certain aspects ambiguous, making it challenging for even the most observant viewers to fully understand why the men depicted in the flashback took Acrobatic Silky's daughter.
However, subtle details hidden within this backstory provide crucial context and offer insights into the episode's most tragic moment. These details hint at acts of unspeakable cruelty, contrasting sharply with the glimmers of hope that suggest Acrobatic Silky once envisioned a bright future for herself and her daughter.
