Sophie Rundle, Gemma Whelan, Timothy West and Gemma Jones have been tapped to co-star opposite Suranne Jones in Gentleman Jack (fka Shibden Hall), HBO and BBC One’s eight-episode drama series from BAFTA-winning writer Sally Wainwright. The Washington, D.C. Area Film Critics Association (Wafca) today announced their 2009 winners, awarding Best Film to Up in the Air. Additionally, awards were given to Broadway star Carey Mulligan, most recently of The Seagull, for her work in the film "An Education," as well as the upcoming film of Maury Yeston's "Nine."
Relative newcomer Carey Mulligan took home the Best Actress award for An Education, while what many considered the only locks of the season - the Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories - went to Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) and Mo'Nique (Precious), respectively. Precious also walked away with the Best Breakthrough Performance for first-time actress Gabourey Sidibe.

'Musical' sequel adds cast
It may have conducted an international casting search involving thousands in the United States, Canada and the U.K., but Disney has found some of its actors for Wildcat roles in High School Musical 3: Senior Year closer to home.
Relative newcomer Matt Prokop has appeared in Disney Channel's Hannah Montana as well as The Office. Justin Martin, whose credits include Raisin in the Sun and the upcoming Jamie Foxx movie The Soloist, appeared as Young Simba in the Broadway version of Disney's animated classic The Lion King. Jemma McKenzie-Brown hails from London; her previous television credits include a supporting role in the BBC production of The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard.
