Akshay Kumar revealed that his co-star in the film Govinda encouraged him to get into films. Akshay Kumar was assisting the photographer Jayesh Sheth and met Govinda who was choosing the pictures, and then told Akshay, "listen, why don't you become a hero". And this inspired him to become an actor. The two actors acted in this movie.
Govinda's fans were looking forward to the movie as it was a comeback since his disastrous stint in politics.
