Fun movie

Watched this because Renee O'Connor was all over this one. Her production company, ROC, released it. She also was an executive producer for it.

While the story lagged a tiny bit, it was a very funny storyline so that made up for it.

The cast were funny as hell and, of course, Renee was the best. :)

Saw some other faces I knew in this movie, so that was a surprise. The INS agent I've seen in NCIS several times as well as Francis's dad.

All around good movie. Not too long and it was great to see an indie film that one of my favorite actors had produced.

Good on ya, Ren!

Loved it

Saw this movie at a convention in an unfinished version - very funny movie!! I loved Renee's sick-as-a-dog performance - She does comedy so well. (I won't say any more about that as I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it)

She wasn't the star - just a supporting character I like the fact that she's not the kind of person to make herself the star of the movie even though it's her money bankrolling it.

I would say to potential viewers - remember this is a small budget, independently produced, private dream - it's not a Hollywood blockbuster so don't watch expecting high class sfx and academy winning values. If you watch for what it is - a light-hearted, old-fashioned romantic comedy, made on a shoestring budget by a group of talented friends then you'll enjoy it immensely.

Can't wait to be able to buy a DVD of it.

Diamonds & Guns Critique

It was 9:45 p.m. when I popped it into the DVD player. I spent the next hour plus transfixed. Every single actor did a great job. Certain scenes were hysterically funny, but I won't say which ones or how/why cuz I don't want to spoil it for folks who haven't seen it yet.

I have to admit I've been anticipating this movie for so long, I was afraid my expectations would be too high, and that it would be an anti-climax. As high as my expectations were, it far exceeded them!

After watching the film itself, I watched the commentary version, which was very funny and interesting.

The *only* I would changed would be to give Ted Raimi a bigger part, but he was so good as The Landlord I can't think of any other part he could've played.

If you have $20 to spare, get this DVD, you'll be glad you did.

Very sweet and funny movie!

I simply loved this movie! It reminded me of the old-fashion comedy romances. It has a Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costello comedic feel to it! It makes a great date night movie! Renee O'Connor & Helena Breaven were simply adorable! All the men in the movie had me rolling, especially Raymond O'Connor and Ted Raimi! And Julian Moses simply knocked it out of the ballpark-- I so loved all of her scenes. In fact, all the actors did such a great job!

I also love the fact that no matter what stage of love you are in: first meeting, been together for a while, young and in love, or older and in love...there is something for everyone in this film.

Remember, it is an independent film, so the big budget isn't there. Definitely worth buying.
