New information has surfaced in regard to the untimely death of Bobbie Jean Carter, the television personality and sister of popstars Nick and Aaron Carter.

At the age of 41, the star of House of Carters tragically died on Saturday.

In a statement, Carter’s mother, Jane Carter, revealed that the exact circumstances of her daughter’s death were still unknown.

However, the family confirmed that Carter had died on Saturday morning in Florida. The statement explained that an unresponsive woman, later identified as Carter, was discovered in a bathroom. She was immediately rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, where medical staff pronounced her dead at 8:02 a.m.

In the investigation of Carter’s death, Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (Hcso) discovered that she had been on probation for cocaine possession. Nevertheless, Carter’s roommates informed the police that she had abstained from narcotics since her release from prison.

The Carter family has been struck by yet another loss with the sudden and untimely death of Bobbie Jean Carter in Florida. As the sister of Aaron and Nick Carter, her death marks the third loss for the family.

The family has already endured the loss of Aaron, who tragically died last year at the age of 34 from an accidental drowning caused by the effects of alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, and inhaling compressed air.

Additionally, Bobbie Jean’s sister, Leslie, passed away in 2012 from an apparent overdose at the age of 25.

The autopsy performed on Leslie Carter didn't offer any answers as to why the 25-year-old sister of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and one-time pop star Aaron Carter died suddenly on Tuesday.

The Chautauqua County Coroner's Office confirmed to E! News that the autopsy was inconclusive, presenting with no visible signs of trauma.

"We are awaiting a toxicology report to determine the cause of death," said coroner Richard Mackowiak. "The body has been released to the family. Results of the toxicology test are made public at the discretion of the family."

Results could take up to six weeks to come back, but there is already speculation that drugs played a role in Leslie's death. TMZ reported yesterday that Leslie was battling an addiction to prescription medication before her death. Sources claim Carter had moved from Canada to upstate New York to try to kick her addiction to Xanax and other prescription medications.

The day after 25-year-old Leslie Carter was found dead in her upstate New York home, the Chautauqua County Coroner's Office announced that an autopsy was inconclusive and that his office is awaiting toxicology tests to determine what caused the death of the onetime singer and younger sister of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter.

E! Online reported that coroner Richard Mackowiak said there were no visible signs of trauma to Leslie Carter's body and that toxicology test results are pending. "The body has been released to the family," he said on Wednesday. "Results of the toxicology test are made public at the discretion of the family."

It could take four to six weeks for those results to surface.
