Additionally, Bobbie Jean’s sister, Leslie, passed away in 2012 from an apparent overdose at the age of 25.
Carter worked as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist for Aaron’s tours in the early 2000s. She also appeared on the family’s reality series House of Carters, which aired in 2006. Aaron Carter rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like "I Want Candy" and "That's How I Beat Shaq." Carter appeared in movies and TV shows, including Popstar and 7th Heaven, showcasing his talent as a musician and occasional actor. Some strange and controversial reality TV shows have premiered over the years. Reality TV shows gained prominence globally in the late 90s and early 2000s, with the groundbreaking success of Big Brother, Survivor, and American Idol, which later exploded into global franchises. The success of reality TV has been mainly due to how viewers easily relate to the premises of some of these shows and the stories of the cast members.
While many new shows have come up in recent years that have shattered the ceiling of achievement of previous ones, some of these new shows are more like the proverbial black sheep of the family. In summary, they should never have existed. However, these were out during the early stages of reality TV, so it's no wonder why they are viewed so poorly today.

Aaron Carter’s cause of death has officially been revealed as an accidental drowning, Deadline reports.
The former child pop star’s autopsy states he drowned after inhaling difluoroethane, the flammable gas found in compressed air, and ingesting alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax. According to the National Library of Medicine, difluoroethane is found in common household items like compressed air dusters, refrigerants, and propellants that acts as a central nervous system depressant when ingested recreationally.
Carter was found dead in his bathtub at his Lancaster, California home on November 5th, 2022. He was 34 years old. The autopsy states he had “no life-threatening traumatic injuries” at the time of his death.
Although police initially ruled out foul play, earlier this year, Carter’s mother, Jane Schneck, called for a criminal investigation into his death. Schneck stated that her son “had a lot of death threats and many many people who were making his life miserable,...

So Nick Carter -- you know, your favorite Backstreet Boy (unless you're Team Brian, like some of us) -- is making a horror movie.
An avid fan of the genre, the boy-bander has raised $107,837 (significantly more than his original $85,000 goal) on Indiegogo for his movie "Evil Blessings." Produced, co-written by, and starring Carter, the film tells the story of three friends who go hunting, only to discover that they're being hunted by a cursed family from the 1800s. Just think of it as "House of Carters" meets "The Hills Have Eyes," as Vulture so aptly suggests.
While it's hard to imagine the crooner raising the tension with blood and guts, Carter may just be a big enough horror geek to make it work. He lists "Aliens," "The Chernobyl Diaries," and "The Keep" as some of his favorite creepy films.

It's a sad day in America as 1972 Presidential Nominee George McGovern died early Sunday morning, Oct. 21. George S. McGovern, a liberal icon, died on Oct. 21 after suffering from various illnesses and injuries, following a serious fall last December, said family spokesman Steve Hildebrand. George, a war hero who opposed the Vietnam War, famously ran against President Richard Nixon in 1972, but ultimately lost the campaign. George was a three-term U.S. senator from South Dakota. President Barack Obama remembered George in a statement Sunday as "a statesman of great conscience and conviction." "He signed up to fight in World War II, and became a decorated bomber pilot over the battlefields of Europe," the president said. "When the people of South Dakota sent him to Washington, this hero of war became a champion for peace. And after his career in Congress, he became a leading voice in the fight against hunger." Our...

“Hey, Justin. Hey, it’s Aaron. I can’t come out tonight.” I need to talk about your video.
On Monday, Aaron Carter tweeted, “Justin Bieber’s new video reminds me of my video for Aaron’s Party.” Carter is referring to Bieber’s new self-directed video for his duet with Nicki Minaj, “Beauty and the Beat.” While the two videos are different — and Carter certainly didn’t say it was a rip-off — he’s got a point. For anyone who was the right tween age for “Aaron’s Party,” the “Beauty” video was bound to bring back a few PG-rated house party memories.

Even if you didn’t spent junior year of high school blasting Leslie Carter‘s “Like Wow!” while driving all your friends to Dairy Queen (we know it wasn’t just us), the singer’s death at 25 due to a reported prescription drug overdose is nothing short of a tragedy. Equally tragic, however, is the implied family drama involving the rest of the House of Carters clan. “I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic,” older brother and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter reported to TMZ. The singer declined to give more details about his statement, which just makes it seem even sadder, if you ask us.

Sources say that Leslie Carter's inability to match her brothers' superstardom was a huge factor for her depression and pill-popping. While it's a fact that Leslie Carter, 25, died of a drug overdose on Jan. 31, what drove her to do so is unclear. A source, however, tells People that her envy to be in the limelight was a major reason she fell into a downward spiral. "She thought she would become the next famous Carter sibling," states a former manager to one of her brothers. Although Leslie "loved the attention" she received from the family's brief stint with reality on E!'s House of Carters and had a single released on Shrek 3's soundtrack, fame didn't hit her the way it did with older brother Nick, 32, and younger bro, Aaron Carter, 22. "She was always happy for her brothers, don't get me wrong," the source says. "But it was tough for her.

Life did not deliver what Leslie Carter Ashton had hoped for. "She thought she would become the next famous Carter sibling," says a source who once managed one of her famous brothers. In Leslie's case, although signed to DreamWorks Records (which released her single from the Shrek 3 soundtrack), pop stardom eluded the 25-year-old, who died Tuesday after an apparent overdose. Instead of Leslie, after older brother Nick Carter hit it big as a member of the Backstreet Boys, another Carter sibling became famous - younger brother Aaron. "She was always happy for her brothers, don't get me wrong," says the source.

Leslie Carter's death devastated her family, and now the just-released police report says the cause of her death was indeed a drug overdose. Leslie, who was 25, was described in police reports as having a history of mental health issues and was on medication for depression, Us Weekly reports. The autopsy performed on Leslie Carter didn't offer any answers as to why the 25-year-old sister of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and one-time pop star Aaron Carter died suddenly on Tuesday.
The Chautauqua County Coroner's Office confirmed to E! News that the autopsy was inconclusive, presenting with no visible signs of trauma.
"We are awaiting a toxicology report to determine the cause of death," said coroner Richard Mackowiak. "The body has been released to the family. Results of the toxicology test are made public at the discretion of the family."
Results could take up to six weeks to come back, but there is already speculation that drugs played a role in Leslie's death. TMZ reported yesterday that Leslie was battling an addiction to prescription medication before her death. Sources claim Carter had moved from Canada to upstate New York to try to kick her addiction to Xanax and other prescription medications.
