Matthew Perry in Givré! (2007)

Quotes

Givré!

Edit
  • Dr. Cheryl Blaine: I suppose that I have spent so many years listening to other people's feelings that I have neglected my own.
  • Hudson: And it's all coming out now, here in the restaurant, in front of all these people?
  • Hudson: What are you looking for in love?
  • Sara Harrison: I want to know that if my limbs fall off we'd still be together no matter what. And when he says my name it sounds different in his mouth. You know? Like it's safe there. Or, I put on perfume and he puts on cologne and we go out and we can smell each other. Or that he can make me smile when I'm tired. That's a big one. That when you tell them something that you're scared to tell them because you're afraid they'll stop loving you. But when you tell them, it actually makes them love you more. You tell them that you like their shirt and they end up wearing it every day. The greatest example of this is my grandparents. My grandmother has arthritis in her hands and she can't bend down to paint her toes so my grandfather does it for her all the time. Even though he has arthritis in his hands too.
  • Hudson: I watched the golf channel for 23 hours yesterday.
  • Dr. Townsend: Why golf?
  • Hudson: I don't know. I find it comforting. It's green. People are whispering.
  • Hudson: She was obviously attracted to unstable guys... Which was perfect.
  • Hudson: Should I come in?
  • Sara Harrison: Oh, I would.
  • Hudson: I'm gonna call you. So be ready for that.
  • Hudson: Hi.
  • Sara Harrison: God, hi.
  • Hudson: How are you?
  • Sara Harrison: I'm good.
  • Hudson: Good.
  • Sara Harrison: How.. how are you?
  • Hudson: I'm good.
  • Sara Harrison: Good.
  • Hudson: I'm better. I mean I'm not ever gonna be normal. I'm still gonna be much more comfortable at 4:45 at the corner of Ensure and Woodman.
  • Hudson: Hey look, I don't wanna hold you up, I just wanted to let you know that if you lost all your limbs, we'd still be together forever. I mean I really hope that doesn't happen because I think your limbs are pretty great. And when I said your name, it would always sound safe. I'm not sure about the perfume and the cologne thing but I could try, ya know, I mean I could pick some up. I would always try to make you smile when you're tired. I know you think that's pretty hard to do but I could do that. And you would never have to be scared to tell me anything. And if you like this shirt, I wouldn't take it off for a month. And I would be more than willing to paint your grandmother's toenails so your grandfather doesn't have to do it anymore. You don't have to save me, Sara. But I am going to love you for the rest of my life, so things would be a lot better for me if you were around.
  • Hudson: You're insanely cute.
  • Sara Harrison: You think I'm cute?... I kind of think I have a big head.
  • Tom: Who's your best friend?
  • Hudson: Nate Walson.
  • Tom: In *this* city.
  • Hudson: You.
  • Hudson: I'd become a cognitive whore.
  • Hudson: You could save me but you won't even try.
  • Sara Harrison: You do realize we haven't had sex yet.
  • Hudson: Yes, I am aware of that.
  • Hudson: I don't keep bottled water in the house because I believe it's a scam.
  • Hudson: Don't do this. That guy can't make you swear as much as I can.
  • Hudson: [to his mom:] You know, they say the first three years of a child's life are the most essential. I'm just curious, were you bouncing me on my head during that time? I'd really like to know how I turned out this way.
  • Hudson: People always look at the numbers changing.
  • Sara Harrison: Yup.
  • Hudson: I think it's 'cause they're nervous.
  • Sara Harrison: Yup.
