This has got to be the best day of Nicki Minaj’s life. Why? Because the Pink Friday rapper has been immortalized as a genuine Barbie doll! Mattel produced a one-of-a-kind Nicki doll to be auctioned off next Wednesday at the Divine Design Gala in Los Angeles. The proceeds from the auction will go to Project Angel Food, which provides food to people suffering from HIV and AIDS. The toy would definitely make a pretty cool Christmas gift … except for the fact that bidding starts at $1000. Maybe next year, guys. Past plastic honorees include Carol Channing, Rachel Zoe and Janet Jackson.
Nicki posted a picture of the doll on her Twitter today, with the slightly un-Barbie caption “It’s Barbie bbiiiiiiiirrrrrrch!!!!” The union between the toy maker and the pink-hued singer is a natural match, as Nicki has mucho Barbie bling in her expansive wardrobe repertoire and has given numerous...

Nicki Minaj loves her Barbie necklace and her legion of fans is happy to call themselves Barbz. But now the Harajuku Barbie is taking her obsession with the ultimate female icon to a new level with a one-of-a-kind actual Nicki Minaj Barbie doll that will be auctioned off for charity.
While Nicki's colorful wigs, plunging necklines and body-hugging outfits are typically more revealing than the iconic dolls', Barbie maker Mattel has fashioned a single Minaj-edition Barbie that will be put up for auction on Charity Buzz on Wednesday as part of the five-day Divine Design event and gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, according to Billboard magazine.
Bids on the figure will be offered through December 19 and start out at $1,000. The Grammy-nominated singer is in good company, as former one-of-a-kind...

Kelly isn’t ashamed to admit she takes her sexual health seriously! While out supporting World Aids Day, she revealed she gets checked every year for HIV!
Now here’s the type of Tmi situation we can get behind. Reality star Kelly Osbourne spoke openly about her HIV testing at an event supporting Worlds Aid Day in Beverly Hills Dec. 1.
The 26-year-old singer told The Daily Mail that getting tested is part of her annual check up, and it began when she was just 17! “They have amazing ways to be tested now. They had this thing that they just swabbed the inside of our cheeks with and within 10 minutes they told us,” Kelly said while attending the Divine Design Gala at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel. “’Now, it’s something that is part my yearly check-up with my doctor.”

Add Rachel Zoe's former assistant Brad Goreski to the list of people who are absolutely bananas over the celeb stylist's pregnancy. We caught up with Mr. Goreski last night at Project Angel Food's Divine Design Gala at L.A.'s Beverly Hilton Hotel. Read on to find out what he had to say about his one time boss lady and soon-to-be mom... How have things been going since you've ventured out on your own? Excellent! Things are great. Business is really good. I've been going back and forth between here and New York pretty much every week and just laying the groundwork for 2011. So it's been really, really good. Are you excited for Rachel? Of course! I'm very...

Rooting for Team Gay on Hgtv's Design Star can be a rough gig. After out Miami designer David Bromstad won the crown in the show's first season and went on to become one of the network's most popular designers, all the other out contestants have either fizzled out early or come tantalizingly close only to get squeezed out in the end.
So which is it going to be this year? Out designer Michael Moeller has made it to the final four. Can he be the next gay Design Star?
Moeller, 30, is a New Yorker, and hoping to bring some hometown mojo to the series' seventh season, set in Manhattan and directed by reality show superstar Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice). He's been a designer for almost 10 years, and owned his own business for the last two years.

Why is Hgtv's Design Star like Noah's ark? Because the gays go two by two.
It seems like almost every season, they give us two out gay male contestants to interview and feature in our coverage of the interior design reality competition show. Season before last, we ended up with a third, stealth member, but my prediction is that no one in this season's cast is a gay cop who's also an ex-adult film star.
One thing I'm sure of, though: If you watch Design Star for the design, you'll enjoy the premiere episode. They skip the big intros and backstage drama and go right to most people's favorite challenge, the white room, with the added twist that each designer is creating a room for one of his or her fellow designers.

I am addicted to Hgtv, which is strange considering I don’t have a bathroom that needs to be remodeled, my 18th floor apartment doesn’t have a backyard to landscape, and I’m certainly not looking for a second home in some far-off land (as awesome as that would be). But despite the fact that I’m not the target audience, I often find myself getting sucked into marathons of House Hunters or watching in awe as David Bromstad does his thing on Color Splash. I’m not the only one. Hgtv has some sort of allure to it,...

I went through a very long period when I was rather addicted to the design and makeover shows on Hgtv. I loved shows like Design on a Dime and Divine Design and that show where the woman shows you how to take an old hobby horse and recondition it so it can be used as a wine rack.
I don't watch them half as much as I used to, but I still like them. They're shows that actually show us how we can redo our rooms and homes easily and without spending a ton of money. I find shows like that useful. I might not do exactly what the hosts say, but they always give me ideas for something I might want to do in my own place.
I can't say that same about Designers' Challenge though. I think this might be the worst show on Hgtv, and here's why.

Since I got to the office this morning I've had the Food Network playing in the background, letting the likes of Giada de Laurentiis, Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, and the Barefoot Contessa herself, Ina Garten, parade across the screen. Yes, the frigid temps outside do have me craving comfort foods, but my sudden overwhelming desire for the network's offerings is more a case of wanting what I can't have. Fox and Time Warner Cable may have reached an agreement, but now there is a messy situation between Cablevision and Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. (the owners of the Food Network and...

Toronto -- After the success of CBS' "Flashpoint," Canadian indie producers are cranking out even more homegrown dramas and comedies that could look and feel perfectly at home on U.S. network and cable schedules.
Canadian cable channel Showcase has ordered 13 episodes of "Lost Girl" from Prodigy Pictures, a sci-fi drama that stars Anna Silk and Kristen Holden-Reid about inhuman women who seduce and feed off their human partner's sexual energy.
The producer is completing an interactive website, a graphic novel and a downloadable video game to accompany the 2010 broadcast bow.
Jay Firestone, Paul Rapovksi, Plato Fountidakis, Michelle Lovretta and Peter Mohan share executive producer credits on "Lost Girl." Wanda Chaffey is producing.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. has also ordered a slew of pilots as part of its growing development slate, including "Henry Starts Again" from E1 Television, which is shortly to start production on "Haven," a 13-part suspense TV series for Universal Networks International.
