The show put forward the then-proposed idea that the ostrich-like dinosaurs were water-going filter-feeders like modern-day ducks. This theory isn't accepted anymore.
The show depicts the Asian troodontid dinosaur Mei long as an about 2 meter long, scale-covered, "generic" troodontid. Its original fossil was at first thought to have been a juvenile, due to its long, slender legs and small size, so the show increased its stature to adult size. We now know that Mei long was indeed only about half a meter long as an adult, it had very long legs, and was covered in feathers, making it look like a small bird.
