For a lot of heroes, being in the Justice League is one of the greatest things they could achieve. It's the team with DC's strongest and greatest heroes, and for a long time, this led to the team being fairly exclusive. But now, after facing a major crisis, the Justice League is opening its doors and absolutely everyone is here.
The unlimited roster of this new Justice League was first seen in DC All In Special #1 by Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson. Not wanting to remain divided or weak ever again, the Justice League opens its doors to every single hero that DC has to offer, as long as they've proven themselves capable. Some of these heroes were pretty unexpected, and some were the obvious picks.
With so many new heroes joining the Justice League, there are bound to be a few fan-favorites, and it seems that DC has gone...

Video game movies rightfully don't have a great reputation, and that goes double for live-action adaptations. A medium that gives the player the ability to do things impossible in real life naturally doesn't always transition smoothly to a more realistic-looking setting that the viewer can't influence. That being said, it's been done successfully before. Pokmon Detective Pikachu was a weird choice for a Pokmon adaptation, but it currently has a respectable 68% on Rotten Tomatoes. 2020's Sonic the Hedgehog defied expectations by being a genuinely fun family film, and its sequel followed suit.
Before Pikachu and Sonic made their live-action debuts, though, a lesser-known and on the surface, more mundane video game hero had a live-action feature film of his own. Phoenix Wright starred in the 2012 Ace Attorney film, directed by Takashi Miike, one of Japan's most famous auteurs. While the camp and storyline cuts sometimes work against this film, it's...

Warning: Contains Potential Spoilers for Titans #15!Although Ive always favored the Nightwing and Starfire romance over Nightwing and Batgirl, I never truly shipped the Original Boy Wonder with the Tamaranean Princessuntil now. This changed with the release of a recent comic that brilliantly recreated one of my favorite Dick Grayson and Koriandr moments from the Dcau animated films, officially solidifying my place among the NightFire shippers. And the real surprise? It was a DC writer I never expected who made me a full-fledged Dick/Kori believer.
It may come as a shock to many that Tom Taylor is responsible for turning me into a Starfire/Nightwing shipper.
Tom Taylor, Lucas Meyer, and Adriano Lucas' Dark-Winged Queen storyline reaches its thrilling conclusion in Titans #15, an issue packed with non-stop action and twists. Warning: Contains Potential Spoilers for DC All In Special #1!The debate between DC and Marvel fans over which iconic superhero team reigns supremethe Justice League or the Avengershas raged on for years. While the Dapper Delights update for Disney Dreamlight Valley has generally been well-received by the community, some disgruntled fans believe Gameloft needs to revisit beloved princess Tiana. The focal character of the August patch, the protagonist of The Princess and The Frog was one of the most anticipated additions to the Valley, bringing with her a wealth of new quests and items. Now that the dust has settled on Dapper Delights, some players feel the update didn't deliver the experience they had hoped for and want the developer to make some changes.
Over on Change.org, user Christina Dombrowski-Smith started a petition titled "Justice for Princess Tiana in Disney Dreamlight Valley," requesting that passionate fans join the movement to persuade Gameloft to redesign the princess. Dombrowski-Smith points out that Tiana's "facial features, hair design... skin color, even her outfit" look significantly different from how she's depicted in The Princess and The Frog,...

2001's Smallville is fondly remembered as one of the most influential shows in the superhero genre. Following Tom Welling as a teenage Clark Kent, the CW series ran for 10 seasons, and it remains the longest-running live-action superhero show. Throughout its run, Smallville introduced a lot of Superman and DC lore to the small screen. Major DC characters like Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), Lois Lane (Erica Durance), Martian Manhunter (Phil Morris), Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort), and more play substantial roles in Clark's journey to become Superman. However, the biggest setup in Smallville is the foundation it laid for the Justice League.
The first major DC hero, aside from Clark, to appear on Smallville was Bart Allen/Impulse in season 4 episode 5 "Run." Impulse was followed by Arthur Curry/Aquaman and Victor Stone/Cyborg in season 5 before Oliver Queen/Green Arrow completed the roster in season 6. When Gene Roddenberry was offered the chance to bring his universe back to television in 1986, conventional wisdom suggested the show was doomed to fail. However, Star Trek: The Next Generation surpassed Star Trek: The Original Series in ratings, number of seasons and, in the hearts of some fans, is the superior show. Just like The Original Series, nearly 40 years after it debuted, there are a number of The Next Generation episodes that are controversial and wouldn't play well if released today.
To be clear, Star Trek was always "woke," but each series was also a product of its time. While there was diversity, equity and inclusion in front of the camera, the same could not be said for behind it. While The Next Generation storytellers intended to tell inclusive, progressive stories, sometimes they failed. Other episodes were quite daring for their time, with actual societal progress revealing their limitations. In many cases,...

There have been a slew of cartoons to come out on Cartoon Network and other networks that featured animated shows that were killed for no apparent reason. Despite smooth productions, great storylines, and even sizable viewership, shows like Young Justice, Generator Rex, ThunderCats, and Green Lantern: The Animated Series just did not have what it takes to keep them on air.
Generator Rex || Credit: WB
While these shows had a lot of good storylines and great viewership behind them, action cartoons, especially the likes of Generator Rex and Ben 10, actually need one pillar to work out more than anything else: merchandise. The products that sustained these shows were usually toys, the sales of which would determine whether the investment behind the shows that were supposed to sell them was even worth it.

"You got one week. Then they'll kill the case." Netflix has revealed the full official trailer for the Polish crime thriller film titled Justice (or Napad in Polish), arriving for streaming in October this fall. It's a new film from the duo of director Michał Gazda and producer Magdalena Szwedkowicz - the team behind last year's success of Forgotten Love also on Netflix to watch. Set at the beginning of the 90s (after the communist era ended), a discharged police officer is given a chance to reclaim his old life in exchange for capturing a group responsible for a ruthless bank robbery. The detective must act quickly, as media attention could complicate matters for the new government. Starring Olaf Lubaszenko as the cop, with Jedrzej Hycnar, Wiktoria Gorodecka, and Magdalena Boczarska. This seems like a true crime story from Poland's history, but it also doesn't seem to be based any real case.

Justice League: War was released in 2014 as part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies franchise. It is based on the Geoff Johns and Jim Lee comic book Justice League: Origin, which was a part of The New 52, DC's reboot in the 2010s. The New 52 brought lots of new origins to the DC universe, not least among them was the Justice League.
The most obvious difference between the movie and the comic book is the roster. Granted, the rosters are mostly the same in both versions, but with one difference: In the movie, Aquaman is replaced by Shazam. Justice League: War still features Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Cyborg, but it is Shazam who stands in for Aquaman in this adaptation.
Justice League: War's connection to Origins
The villain is Darkseid in both, the ruler of the planet Apokolips. Darkseid's intimidating presence and army of parademons are featured in both.

The Acolyte, Disney’s latest high-profile Star Wars show, is set well before the the Skywalker era. Here’s our review of the first two episodes.
Disney’s The Acolyte premiered its first two episodes with a lot of expectations on its shoulders. The recent Star Wars shows have been full of ups and downs; The Mandalorian has lost its groove, Obi-Wan Kenobi was disappointing nostalgia bait, but Andor was genuinely excellent.

According to the book Star Wars: Timelines, the High Republic Era lasted from 500 to 100 Bby, with The Acolyte taking place near the end of this period. In other words, the series takes place about 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace, distancing it from the Skywalker Saga and most known Star Wars figures. This leaves audiences with a brand-new cast of characters to get to know.
The Acolyte follows a group of Jedi investigating a series of murders. Their search will see them face off against a powerful adversary: a former Padawan. Despite being at the height of their power, the Jedi will also discover something dark brewing in this time of supposed peace. With a cast full of familiar faces to genre lovers,...

How do we know what music is actually good? Many fans look to critics. Sure, some might label music journalism as irrelevant in assigning value to art, but the reality is, critics do at least partly contribute to the consensus on the quality of music. That’s why, whether it is during a civilized conversation or the most rabid Twitter stan war, an album’s Metacritic score typically comes up. So award show voters must take those top albums more into consideration than others, right? To be a big awards player, doesn’t your album need to be somewhat acclaimed?
Let’s take a look at the past three Grammy ceremonies as examples. Since these are ceremonies with no nomination review committees involved, the results are a more accurate, unfiltered reflection of what voters think. According to Metacritic, anything below 81 is not “universally acclaimed,” so that’s how I’ll sort it out.

Martian Manhunter forms the biggest Justice League ever in response to a massive breakout of super-powered villains. The Justice League's teamwork hits an all-time low during Infinite Crisis, leading to Martian Manhunter taking charge. Martian Manhunter's telepathic abilities unite every hero on Earth to defend Metropolis against a villainous army.
When there's a major battle to fight in the war between good and evil, it's almost always the Justice League who's first on the scene. But when the Justice League was practically disbanded, Martian Manhunter had to assemble his own version of the League, and it's possibly the biggest readers have ever seen.

The Justice League was at its lowest point during Infinite Crisis due to internal conflicts and fractures. In Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, the Justice League disbanded willingly, passing on Earth's protection to the Titans. Infinite Crisis executed the idea of a failing Justice League better than Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths.
The Justice League has been through some impossible battles over the years, and they've usually come out on the other end just fine. DC decided to capitalize on this trend by revealing the death of the Justice League storyline where the Justice League would finally die but not only did this actually not happen, but a Crisis from long ago already covered the true death of the Justice League.

The terrifying nature of Homelander, the antagonist in The Boys, is captured in a dark moment involving Superman, revealing why Homelander is the most horrifying of all. The contrast between Superman and Homelander highlights the ultimate betrayal of an evil Superman, as Homelander lacks compassion for humanity and believes in Supe supremacy. While Superman may struggle with guilt when he fails, he can find solace in the fact that he is nothing like the monstrous Homelander depicted in The Boys.

Officer Sean Roman's departure from Chicago Pd in season 3 was due to a combination of character development and actor Brian Geraghty's desire to pursue other projects. Roman's retirement from the police force was a result of being shot on duty, leaving him with nerve damage in his arm and unable to continue working in the field. Despite leaving the show, Roman returned for an episode in season 7, where it was revealed that he had killed the drug dealer responsible for his sister's death, leaving viewers questioning his hero status.
Officer Sean Roman quickly became a core member of the cast of Chicago Pd after joining the Dick Wolf show in season 2 ― but only made it to season 3 before leaving the series. Roman, played by Brian Geraghty, underwent a lot of character development in his short time on the show, but his exit meant a lot more potential went unfulfilled.

The following contains spoilers for Blue Beetle, now playing in theaters.
One of the most enticing aspects of Blue Beetle has been who's strong enough for Jaime Reyes to face in battle. When he's fused to the Scarab, he's literally a one-man army -- something many comics and the Young Justice series played up. Trailers already illustrated Jaime making any weapon he could imagine, flying at super fast speeds, and basically, coming off invulnerable.
In some ways, Jaime is DC's Iron Man, but with a teenage alien twist, thanks to the cosmic relic attached to his body. However, Blue Beetle does provide a formidable villain in the form of Carapax. This soldier ends up being Jaime's equal due to the Omac (One Man Army Corps) cybernetic enhancements made to him. But as the film proceeds, Carapax's sympathetic story reveals he's really a more tragic version of the McU's Winter Soldier.
