The pub where John Thaw and Stanley Meadows first meet is The Winning Post, Chertsey Road, (A316) Twickenham. This pub is also featured in Echo of Diana (1963). It was used again as a location for the season two episode, "Golden Fleece" and several years later in an episode of Minder with Dennis Waterman.
