Truly love and appreciate this episode from this iconic television series. True to the period, place and time in our nation's difficult, often embarrassing, past. And clearly demonstrated how our nation's prison systems worked in those days in dispensing justice by cutting off prisoners, quite literally, to the outside world entirely. We should endeavor to NEVER EVER want to return too such a way of life.

- TriviaThis is the only episode with an all male cast.
- GoofsTo get rid of their scent, Sam and Jasper run up on a skunk to get it to spray them. The skunk sprays them as soon as they run up. In reality, a skunk wouldn't spray first. It would give warnings before spraying as the spray is its only defense. Once that's gone, it has nothing until the spray builds back up. So a skunk would have warned them before spraying.
- Quotes
Dr. Sam Beckett: [as Cole, about Jake] He robbed a store in Kerrville last night, the same way he did in Langston. Or, at least, that's what I heard he was gonna do.
Boss Cooley: Warden, I don't think you should listen...
Captain Elias: Sh-sh-sh-sh-sh.
Captain Elias: [after a pause, to Sam] And how would you know that?
Dr. Sam Beckett: If you don't believe me, why don't you just... talk to the sheriff in Kerrville, ask him?
Captain Elias: [strikes Sam] Hell, that's about enough sass outta you, boy.
