Day of the killer

Lousy is the proper word to describe this forgettable but entretaining AVENGERS episode. which the climax is highly inspired from DAY OF THE JACKAL. The scene between father and son is very amusing. Patrick Mc Nee confessed in his biography that the producers of the series in France went away with the money of the production...Maybe this explains that.

Trivia
It is ironic that the two most dangerous Russians are having lunch at an outdoor café in the Place Dauphine, which is directly in front of the Paris police headquarters. It was the favorite haunt of Inspector Maigret. The police building is visible in the background as they rise from their table.

Goofs
The Russians, supposedly planted in the 1940s, were to be revived by satellite radio signals. Yet there were no satellites at the time; the first Russian satellite launched was Sputnik in 1957, at least a decade later. Its technology could not have been anticipated, still less the technology of a satellite from the 1970s.
