Dysfunctional family fun

I saw this at the 2006 Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films and it was a crowd pleaser. I must make note to IMDb that this is a comedy, a hilarious comedy at that and shouldn't be listed as a drama. Dark comedy maybe but it's no drama. The film's director/writer John E. Bryant is quoted in an interview with Film Threat about the film, "My editor, Jay Deuby, probably said it best. He said it was a ridiculous farce played absolutely 100% real and strait." Bryant's previous film before this was the outrageous comedy Oh My God and it looks like he's going to make a feature length comedy next. This is a story about a dysfunctional family Thanksgiving dinner. The divorced father is hosting the holiday with his three sons and their spouses. The two oldest sons look just like their father right down to their goatees but the youngest is different. Mark Reeb plays the taunting middle brother Todd, Jason Foxworth who co-wrote the film is the mediating oldest son Jason and Steve Zissis is the title character Mama's Boy Greg. I would give this a 9.0 out of 10.
