Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Christmas Eve the one night per year you want to spend exclusively with people you love and care about? The horrible, horrible people featuring in "Christmas Evil" (aka "Marcus") are doing it all wrong. The ones that are already acquainted deeply hate each other, and the ones that meet each other just for the very first time are extremely mean and hostile. It's Christmas, people! Go somewhere else instead!
Now, if this was the only problem of the entire film, I would have been very happy. Sadly, but inevitable, the problem with "Christmas Evil" is much worse. It's even one of the absolute most incompetent and frustratingly awful horror movies I have watched in recent years. The script is totally senseless, the acting performances are beyond amateurish, the cinematography and editing are depressingly bad, the dialogues are painful to listen to, and there aren't any noteworthy action/horror moments. The characters stand nose to nose and act really tough the entire time, but they're bunch of pitiable dimwits; - especially the males. According to IMDb, this film only lasts 75 minutes but it felt like a 3-hour ordeal.
