The water that the DieClops fell into was, in fact, really cold since the movie was shot in Northern Indiana in November.
All the living characters are named after famous directors who have done horror films (Sam Raimi, Lloyd Kaufman, Robert Rodriguez/Robert Zemeckis, Alfred Hitchcock, and George A. Romero).
The names of the zombies are inspired by the types of names seen on those cheesy tombstone lawn decorations for Halloween combined with the names of famous people that each zombie resembled.
