Numerous actors from the film returned to reprise the voices of their respective characters: James Remar (Ajax), Michael Beck (Swan), Deborah Van Valkenburgh (Mercy), David Harris (Cochise), Thomas G. Waites (Fox) and Dorsey Wright (Cleon).
Roger Hill (who played Cyrus in the film) sued the game programmers for using his likeness without permission. He passed away within a decade after the game's release.
The opening credits/cut scene is taken almost directly from the film.
Bonus missions in the game show how each member of the Warriors (that appeared in the film) joined the gang.
There was supposed to be a spiritual sequel to the game titled "We Are the Mods", taking place during the mods and rockers brawls in 1960's England. The game was cancelled.
