personally its been a while since I've played a tekken game or any fighting game for that matter until recently i played dead or alive 4 on the xbox 360,yes that was a great game, then i recently purchased tekken dark resurrection for my psp now I'm going to compare these games and one reason for this is to show exactly how good this new tekken is even compared to massive multi million dollar projects such as doa4,now dead or alive 4 contains no real storyline whereas tekken has a storyline for every character in the game of which there's almost every character from the tekken franchise 34 in all.for a psp game this is frankly amazing because one of the reasons psp hasn't been as successful as expected is because it has to cut things out of games that appear on other platforms, this being another reason tekken is great nothing is cut its all here and whats here is brilliant fighting, great passion in the genre, there's no multi tier arenas, although there's is slightly destructible ones, but this is yet another reason tekken succeeds, this reason being there's no fancy things namco tried with this game, its good old tekken all over again,I'm not gonna go on and on about this game because all I'm gonna say is good things about it because if this was a xbox fighter it would be one of the best there is,great story mode and great arcade modes, and gosh don't get me started with the dojo mode thats just the next level for fighters an the fact this has hit the psp is amazing and easily the best fighting game for the platform, even the graphics and presentation is top notch, from the awesome opening movie to the endings of every characters story, all are well done and short and snappy, there's nothing i can think of in the near future that will knock this title out, tekken is back, and back at its best, well well worth buying even over other mainstream top console fighting games, don't just listen to me please buy it and find out for yourself.
Tekken: Dark Ressurction was Tekken 5 realised for the PSP , and I am glad to report that yesterday I checked it out and I was very very impressed with the it. If your looking to get into Tekken then this would however be a lovely place to start as you have a whole host of players to chose from and also not to mention 2 extra new ones. If your a fan of Tekken then this little beaut is defiantly one to purchase and take away with you ! My only complaint might be that it is still another fighting game at the end of the day and it may get a little repetitive at the end of the day but an engrossing story line is worth checking it out for and each character ending is something different and worth checking out ! Highly recommended!

I never was a huge fan of the series; I'm a Street Fighter type of gamer but I do have one question: How on Earth did they cram the whole arcade game onto a small UMD with little sacrifice to graphic quality and gameplay? (for those who don't know, UMD stands for Universal Media Disc) This is the stuff of legends after all Tekken 3 was released on PS1 9 years ago so it's safe to say that time repeats itself and that's a good thing for PSP owners who want some portable brawlin' on the go. All the gang is there with some new faces and modes in addition to online multi-player being a plus. This feature allows you to download or compete against a "ghost" from anywhere in the world. Beating the game grants you money(credits) to unlock alternate outfits for customization, FMV, and more. There's also a "Dojo Mode" that you engage in scripted trials against various fighters in the game. The only cons are that it can be pretty tricky to pull off combos on a hand-held system, limiting your proficient fighting style, but still a great game nonetheless with rewarding replay value to boot. BTW, its on the "Greatest Hits" list for for only $19.95 so its a steal despite essentially being a port of a PS2 game released a year earlier. I'm dying for Soul Calibur on PSP!!!

- TriviaLei Wu-long's "Comet Kick" is directly inspired by Korean super-kicker Won Jin's technique "Heaven's Knife Whirlwind Kick" from the Hong Kong movie Opération Scorpio (1992). It first appeared as a shot for shot recreation in Lei's ending movie from Tekken Tag Tournament (1999), and then became added to his move list from Tekken 4 (2001) onward.
